I have another question, well two actually:

• I take it people under 18 cannot join 18+/NSFW RPs?
• Is there a limit to how many RPs you can make (whether in a given time or something like that?)

1. There's no such thing as an 18+ Roleplay (unless the douche who made it says so.)
2. NSFW generally means don't read in public or be stared at in an awkward awe. (Or do it to see what happens)
3. Roleplays are expressions of imagination, there's nothing wrong with writing about certain acts or desires (HURR HURR DIARIES DURR HURR)
4. No limit to roleplays, unless you yourself are taking up an entire page of the forum... then I'll smack a hoe. (Like a boss~)

Yeah you pretty much start off by posting a thread in the 'Plot Discussion' section the ideas for you RP and people reply to them and such. Even if you don't have a concrete idea you can post something you want to happen and surely others can put there two cents into building a plot for you and some guidelines for characters.

Or...you could ask anybody here to do a 1x1 RP as they seem to be getting more popular and are more easier to discus because its just the two of you discussing the plot and stuff. Heck you can even ask me if you want to do an 1x1 RP! XD

If your not sure what exactly you want of the RP, you can post the idea and discuss it here. The thread usually includes the words in the tittle "Interest Check".

If you know exactly what you want, or if you feel confident in your RP idea, you also put it here. This is where the OOC discussions take place in addition to the above. In the Plot Discussion forum, the first posts are usually the character sign up and OOC talk area. It is seperate from the actual RP, which takes place in the actual Role-Playing World forum.

I kinda explained that badly, but I hope you get the idea...

...that's not a plot, Eva. Bio and personality are part of a character, not a good plot. As just about everyone has told you countless times, a couple of sentences don't make a good enough plot. Besides, the character's bio is influenced by what the RP's plot is about, so you can't expect people to make up a random bio and roleplay something that they don't understand is happening.

Think of a book, if you will, and use a metaphor somebody already mentioned to you in that Rincat thing. You won't buy it if you don't like the story. And you won't look at it if it has complete nonsense like no plot-actually, plot is needed to make a story. And a nonsense plot will cause even more problems. Think of a decemt paragraph or two, or as many as you need, and think like a roleplayer: Will this RP be interesting? Will people want to play it? Will they understand what they need to do? Eva, character sheets don't make a plot. You have to do that yourself.

I'd like to further emphasize the point that what you are asking for is already here, it's called a Character Form or sheet.
Roleplays need a plot, the plot cannot be simply a character/ or a characters bio, that relates partially to the story (if specified) and the character. Expecting users to realize what the plot is from your bio is a long shot and doesn't get people interested, it just causes people to think "This person can't set up a roleplay".
You need a few things to have an OOC roleplay, one of which, as mentioned above, is a plot line.
Now I'm going to be basic and explain everything very slowly.
Say you wanted Fuck.. a zombie Apocalypse RP, you would need to give a plot line. In the plot line you'd need to explain the situation, give the RP somewhere to run. Always make sure in the back of your head is a back-up idea, in case the story goes dry.

Next is the thing you specialize in apparently, character forms. These can be set up to your hearts content and include whatever you want. INCLUDING BIOS! Sarcasm. I can't really explain these, but if you want examples, look in every OOC in the Plot Discussion Section.

Finally are the rules, they have to correspond to roleplays in general and have aspects of your own roleplay if you so wish.
The most common of rules are "Make sure you don't post one liners" etc.
Others, that relate to roleplays (eg. You've got a roleplay which includes magic, and the sheet includes the form Magic) for instance, "No God Characters, this basically means magic can't be really powerful".

I suggest you go and take a peek inside other OOC's to see how they are set up, rather than wildly guessing.

If there's one thing that ticks me off more than anything in RPs is when someone just disappears and come back the next day and say they had to go. Seriously...a simple "g2g" is not hard.

Well for one this is not a rant thread, these are the do's and don't's. Have I been keeping up with them? Nnnnnnnnnno... no I have not. But what's up there is obvious. As for what you're suggesting-- That can NOT be a rule... I myself pass out while typing, I can't let you know when shit goes down, just annoying for me. You just gotta use your noodle, put your thinkin' cap on, and start countin' because if a person goes offline and doesn't respond within their average post time then they more or less got off! ...word.
