It just occurred to me. We have fanclubs for our favorite Vocaloids. We have fanclubs for our favorite Vocaloid pairings. Why not have fanclubs for our favorite Producers as well?

Mothy, also known as Akuno-P, is most famous for his work "Servant of Evil." He's also known for creating the 7 Deadly Sins and the Clockwork Lullaby series. The Story of Evil has been adapted into 4 books, a manga, and a play.

Fans have created a very informative wiki for mothy's works. If you're new to the Evillious Chronicles, I'd recommend reading the comprehensive guide.

Story of Evil Novels
It seems very unlikely that the mothy's novels will be published in English. So what's the best alternative? Closure of Yellow has translated the first book, along with certain side materials like character profiles.

Mothy has released a new song. It's a collaboration with Passion-P (情熱Ｐ), who, among other songs, made the classical version of Servant of Evil and the ballad version of Regret Message. However... even though the video shows up on Nico Nico Douga... a site message pops up and nothing plays. Is it just me? Apparently fixed now!

At any rate, this song was created for Debutante 6, so you can listen to a demo of it on the official website here, Disc 1 Song 6. No Youtube reuploads yet, unfortunately.

What do you think?

The beat doesn't sound bad, and the fact that it features Miku, Rin, Len and Luka is nice. I'm looking forward to listening to the entirety of the song and seeing the PV though.

Edit: English subs ! The song is apparently based very loosely on the Red Shoes by Hans Christian Anderson. I really like this song. His song made for Debutante 6 didn't appeal to me; this one, though, is really good~

Anyway I love mothy! My overall favorites of his work are Regret Message and Full Moon Laboratory (they both have kind of similar feelings) Daughter of White and the two original Evil songs are also very lovely ~<3 So sign me up!

Hey, I should make an image pack of fanart of his works. I have quite a few of them. I'll do that later (when I'm done fulfilling all my promises for my own fanclub... I told them I'd scan that doujin like a year ago orz)

I was actually surprised no one made producer fanclubs earlier. And I don't see why it wouldn't be against the rules; if it's Vocaloid related, it should be okay, right? As long as it's not a fanclub for a song, which is what the Songs forum is for.... If you made a PutinP club, I'd definitely join it! PutinP has made one of my favorite songs ever (Usotsuki wa Dare).

I hope that one of the things people do when they make fanclubs is provide information on the producers. I plan on discussing some of mothy's older songs, linking to harder-to-find translations, etc later on.

And I'd love it if you contributed images! <3
