Crypton's Appends are nouns and adjectives... So yeah D:

Nouns: Power, Light
Adj: All the others

I think it would be good if they used adjectives with -er at the end. Like "softer" and "firmer", meaning that they're softer or firmer than the original.

Yes! I'm so happy now! This made my day to see that they finally begun recording. Now I wonder what types of voice they may give GUMI/Megpoid.
And maybe what they might name them. Maybe a little stronger voice, or a higher/sweeter one.
I hope they tell us what types will appear soon, as I hope they've chosen well, and are improving GUMI and making her genre and vocal range grow. ;D

Crypton doesn't 'own' Appends.

Utau have appends all the time, infact they've had add-ons/appends/extends BEFORE the whole Crypton Append spheal.
Appends are just add-ons voicebanks made in specific manners (example; whispering, a more powerful voice, etc, etc).

Gumi's Extends will be done in this manner, they will be made with different voice types. Much like the Cryptonloids.

They aren't being called 'Appends' in Gumi's case because it's an entirely different company. Note, that not every company is going to name add-ons 'appends'. They're just voice add-ons, they can be called anything.

You DO realize that's an add-on right?

Act 2 and Appends = the SAME thing.

They're ADD-ONs.

They said they were adding 'another vocal expression' which also means that the voicebank might sound entirely different, it could be like a Soft/Power/Light/etc Gumi for all we know. It never states it's just an 'improvement'. They're saying they're making a completely new vocal expression for Gumi, not 'we're making an improved voicebank out of the same kind of vocal expression type of voicebank'.

Regardless, what I was trying to say previously is that the add-on is going to be like an Append add-on, over an act 2 add-on because it's supposed to be a whole 'nother vocal expression voicebank.
