For those of you guys that have your figurines in the open do they collect dust often? Cause my country is dusty as F so I have to clean my case often...

I've had very little issue with dust. It was actually more of a problem in my previous house, but I've since moved away from the main road, and it's not as bad. I keep them in detolfs now to be on the safe side though (also to protect them from cats). My dolls that are out in the open are less fortunate, but that's because they have hair that gets matted up with dust easily, but brushing it every few weeks seems to keep this at bay.

If you're really worried about it though, I'd recommend just keeping them behind glass if possible and dusting them with something like a soft makeup brush every so often.

...resin kits...

They all look great, but that Miku especially does. The sweets bowl and mismatched socks are so cute!

Thanks. I'll tell her that. She always gets coupons and bonus bucks from E20-whatever, and her models frequently become kit-of-the-day or week.

Here are a few she did last year...

Here is a Super Sonico statue/kit she just finished. I router the base!!... ._.; yeah, that's not a big deal, but that was my only contribution.

She JUST got hot done and I did some slack photos own my desk, to have it in the photo cache.

It's a big improvement over the painting and assembly you can see on kit websites. Those folks tended to use too much glossy paint and over-lit the photos.

We took photos in our back garage room/photo studio-type thing.

Here are a few...

fantastic, professional work!!! i've only attempted a single Resin figure so far, a 1/35 Fighter Pilot intended to depict the pilot
of the 1/35 AS-5E3 "LEYNOS" ASSAULT SUIT Mecha from the cult classic SEGA MEGA DRIVE video game of the same name;

while i do have a degree of plastic modelling skill, i consider my very best paintwork to date
to be the lip highlighting jobs on my 1/6 doll harem.

i paint them in with TAMIYA COLOR Pink and a very fine brush. Medical grade 91% ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL
is solvent to TAMIYA COLOR, so i wet the brush in it, and give the painted lips a few light strokes.

this really effectively smooths out the paintwork, and imparts the whole with a lustrously silky sheen
that really enhances the attractiveness of the girls overall, i think;

so, after a few months now of owning the MAX FACTORY Figma treatment of "Catch Me Catch You" Sakura Kinomoto,
i stumbled across the BANDAI S.H. Figuarts version of the same for a price i couldn't say no to,
after ignoring the Figuarts initial street release about 6~12 months ago,
in favor of fence-sitting for the later release of the Figma about 4~6 months later.

now, with both together in front of me, i'm glad to have eventually caved in, as each are a fine likeness indeed.
the Figma skews closer to the Manga depiction, and the Figuarts closer to that of the Anime series.
both have equal charm in my book, and are absolute treasures for the CCS/CLAMP fan;

Crappy pic of my collection. It doesn't include a lot of unopened figures I have (about 10 of them) and a Nadia, Dark Vash, and Komaeda figure I have on a separate shelf.
