The summing up of that topic that Accela said at the end for the lazy ones.

Eh, I think Big Al's redesign was unnecessary. His design was fine and it matched his voice well. This new look makes me think of someone's UTAU rather than an Engloid.
Ann on the other hand only needed a boxart makeover not a design one.
I don't get why they threw out the monster theme either. It was nice and made their company stand out.
I just noticed, but when did Ann become a pop vocalist?
(If that was always on the PowerFX then sorry. I have never actually checked PowerFX.com out until today.)

And Sweet Ann looked...ehhh. But now Sweet Ann looks awesome. I lovvvve her new design<333 I think it would attract more buyers to buy her, I know I would. Before, the box art would turn me off for looking older (literally, and in time period), but now, the new design would convince me to buy her. Not that I would, but I think newcomers to the Vocaloid world would be more attracted to the new Sweet Ann, not knowing what she looked like before.
EDIT: what..april fools? That sucks, if it is. Sweet Ann looked so beautiful *_* Okay, Im back to officially not liking her or Big Al.
EDIT 2: Are you sure it was a prank? Doesn't say anything here: http://www.powerfx.c...ducts/sweet-ann
Unless Im blind.

Well, I like Sweet Ann's makeover. She has blonde hair and the black flower with lace is a nice touch to the dress.
Big Al...I'm loving the silver rimmed glasses and how he doesn't look so stiff. Although he may still have those tight pants lol... As for the hair, pfft I don't know what to say.

Now that my spazfit is over, I want to point out that this was possibly the worst things PowerFX could do to Ann & Al.
Yes, their first boxart scared the hell outta us, but that's the stuff we've come to recognize.
Our amazing 'Space Lounge Robo-Vocalists' are now a Moe-Moe Miku Clone and some Cyberpunk / Super Sayan crossbreed..
I'm sorry that I had to be so harsh, but it's true, Ann and Al were fine the way they were. You didn't have to completely overhaul their when you upgraded them to Vocaloid2. If they had just given Sweet Ann a full-body sketch, like they did with Big Al, that would have been ten times better than this.
If anybody wants me I'm gonna go find this illustator, and give 'em a good slap upside the head. 'Cause that's what they need.
Feel free to quote me on that.
I hope to whoever runs the universe, that this is all some terrible joke.
And if it is, it isn't funny.

And I'd say to PowerFX; never do this again.
Edit:
@a0b0-xy - they were always Vocaloid 2 though.

Sweet Ann's design can stay, just add stitches to them, but I want Big Al's old design back!

I'd be happy if it was ONLY an April Fools joke! I don't care, I just don't want this to be official!
EDIT: Oh my god! I actually have tears running down my face! What the fuck? D:

Its sad to included that "Killing me softely" demo when this exists;
http://www.youtube.c...60EF34EDCC09BD4
And it sounds much better. :-/
Edit:
Also most songs in that demo are just random gibberish that sound sort of like vocals. Only two actually have her singing something that could be a reconignised vocal. So yeah, I'm hoping this is a late April fools joke. At least I can say I got tricked this year by a April fools.

THEY ARE SIMPLY BASING THE DESIGNS OFF OTHER POPULAR ASIAN IMAGERY.
They aren't the lovable monsters from Sweden----no. Now they look like fandom spin offs D:
The tan, the stitches, it's so sad to see them throw it away---and for what?
I simply can't respect the choice they made.
YES. I AM GETTING VERY LOLCOW ABOUT THIS. ANN IS MY HOMEY D:
Al's first released redesign was perfect---although stiff (what did we expect form a Frankenstein based monster?)
and although I must admit Sweet Ann's initial box art was creepy and out of place, it made her who she IS.
The redesign shroud be her without the CREEPINESS FILTER on her previous art.
Dammit SOMBODYRANDOM. That song is making me cry now D:
Correct me, I'm still a baby.
