I heard one of them (the 3rd or 4th?) is batshit insane, with Bella getting pregnant and the baby like breaking all her bones and Edward preforming a c-section with his teeth so I kinda want to read that for the lulz.

Super late reply.

But...
What.

I am gonna have to go with what Robert Pattison said about the books

Quote

"When you read the book," says Pattinson, looking appropriately pallid and interesting even without makeup, "it's like, 'Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself.' I mean, every line is like that. He's the most ridiculous person who's so amazing at everything. I think a lot of actors tried to play that aspect. I just couldn't do that. And the more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so that's how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself. Plus, he's a 108-year-old virgin so he's obviously got some issues there."

Quote

When I read it ... I was convinced that Stephenie was convinced that she was Bella, and ... it was like it was a book that wasn't supposed to be published, like reading her — her sort of sexual fantasy about some — especially when she says that it was based on a dream, and it's like, "Oh, then I had a dream about this really sexy guy" and she just writes this book about it, and there's some things about Edward that are just so specific that ... I was just convinced that this woman is mad, she's completely mad, and she's in love with her own fictional creation. And I sometimes ... feel uncomfortable reading this thing, and I think a lot of people feel the same way, that it's kind of voyeuristic ... It creates this sick pleasure in a lot of ways.

he hates being in it as much as anyone

Oh wow, those are EPIC commennts.

I didn't read the book, but the first movie was alright. The second movie was a lot of 'lolwut?'s, though. Didn't bother with the rest. It didn't help either that Twilight fangirls in my class are basically "KYAAAHH!! OMG EDWARD AND JACOB ARE SO DAMN HANDSOOOOOME! BEST MOVIES EVAARRRR!!!" without looking at the story or the acting or...anything that you should judge a movie from. Oh, yeah, Jacob. I swear that guy's purpose is only for fanservice for the girls. 80% of the time he appears, he's shirtless.

I don't hate it, though. I just don't care about it. Also, Robert Pattinson is ugly.

I read the books and thought they were ok, I dont care about the movies and will never watch them.
The vast majority of the haters have probably never even read the books, which is kinda unfortunate

The books were okay, but then the [terrible] movies came out and everything became annoying. ._.
I'm not going to lie, I was a fan (not a psyco fan though xD) until the movies came out. XD

The only characters I enjoyed from the books were Jacob (pre Breaking Dawn) and Jasper (who barely got any book time but I still enjoyed him). I loathe Edward with a passion. How any woman could want a man written to be perfect is beyond me. I also hated the last book. It was so fucked up. Edward preforming a C section with his teeth? A baby breaking their mother's bones? Then having the man who claims to love you fall in love with your child? The hell, man. I lost all respect for Jacob in the last book. Which was a shame because I enjoyed his character prior to that. I've always said that Breaking Dawn was like a badly written fanfic. Sure, make Jacob fall in love with Bella's BABY to make him forget about his supposedly undying love for the mother. That's great. Good job Meyer.

Meyer should have stopped at the first book.

I think the series ended well with the first novel and I did like the first one. The rest are all bluh or fuck no material.

I wonder how the Breaking Dawn book will turn out in movie form.

Oh yeah and guys lets not forget all the anti-climaxes.

I stopped reading after the first book (due to no interest in the story), and admittedly it gets more hate than it deserves. It's not that bad for what it is.

I don't hate the series but...
Since when are vampires normal-looking and shimmer and glitter like faeries .__.;.
Classical vampires were all about darkness etc...
And isin't the correct myth about human to vampire that a human has to drink vampire blood? I migt be wrong though.
