Lui.....I really don't like his design :/ The design itself looks kinda akward. Also, it's supposed to be a boy? He looks like a slutty shota. I wouldn't be suprised if they got a female to do his voice. I have high hopes for Ring. I'm more " Meh " On Lui.

The face on old Lui looks a little more boyish than the new one, imo.
And Ring's name isn't as fitting without her glowing rings. Because rings are cool. 'Cept in Futurama

I know Lui looks sorta girly-ish, but I'm kind of hoping they don't go for another young male with a non-(completely)masculine voice. He can look like that, but if he pulled an Iroha, that would be great~! Ring's voice provider I've no problems with until I hear some voice samples, and how it sounds recorded and put through the software.

...Ring sounds really, really uncaring with low aspirations. Have some dreeeeams, girl!

I thought it was a Miku re-design. I had to double take for a second when I read the article.
I think they should've left the original designs alone. Just saying.

Alrighty, I really don't mind Lui's original design (I can actually see it as a boy, a cute one, too). The new one needs to dispose of his heels, curved eyelashes and big ribbon.

Ring only looks like Miku because of her headset and the way its drawn gives off the small feeling of Miku's pigtails. That's how I see it at least.

^mfw I'm very ok with these designs and do not dislike either one.

I like both the new designs and the old designs.

We don't really know how the actual artists feel about the matter either, nor do we know if they had a say in how the redesigns went. If they the original artists weren't ok with it and made a vocal opinion about it I'd probably not be that ok with the designs for obvious reasons. If the artists had a say and actually did ask for changes and such. WELP.

But I guess we won't ever really know that sooooo.

The only thing I don't like is that Lui is male, I was really hoping for a female. Oh well. (Is it weird I want females over male vocaloids?)

If I ever do fanart, I'll use the original designs for the inspiration. the re-designs are terrible.

I'm looking forward to hearing demos, and I really hope the choose a male voice provider for Lui.

not at all, to be honest I was quite expecting Lui to be a girl.
But he probably will have a very feminine voice so you can call him a she like Len and Piko.
