Project Inform (A project to make Vocaloid & UTAU Mainstream) Update! New Goal!

Pretty much any article that mentions Miku and Vocaloid, I always give a short, factual comment about what Miku and Vocaloid are, and the concept behind it, and the potential of the software. I try to sound professional and educated about the topic.
For those that are trying to inform: YOU WANT TO APPEAL TO THE COMMON MAN. Don't do anything that will drive off the average person, who has no clue what is going on. Most people don't like anime, so don't talk like an otaku. We have enough problems with people thinking Miku's an anime character, dont' make it worse.

I think a better idea would be to appeal to both the common man and anime fans at the same time, while not having so much anime as to drive non-anime fans off. The more the merrier, and it'll be easier to get the people who are already familiar with anime. Perhaps make one video targeted towards mainstream American audiences and another video targeted towards more geeky audiences? Though I think my video seems to find a balance between the two quite nicely.
Remember, since this is aimed towards ENGLISH SPEAKING audiences, we want just as much or more focus on promoting Engloids as well as explaining what Vocaloid in general and the myths about Hatsune Miku.
For videos aimed towards mainstream American audiences, the only focus on Miku should be clearing up who Miku is, and should be used as a gateway to promoting Engloids. For anime fan aimed videos, you should focus on the Japanese Vocaloids, but remember, you want to mention all the companies, not just Miku.
Either way, the videos should focus more on the technological aspect of Vocaloid, though for the geek targeted videos, focus on the character aspect, history, and especially, how fans are involved in Vocaloid culture should also be included.
As for the UTAU side, this will be much harder, since Nyan Cat is a mighty beast that gets floode with comments every second, but when you do promote UTAU, you want to advertise the creativity involved in UTAU making. Explain that you can make your own songs, your own characters, your own voices, with limitless possibilities, and of course, the fact that it's free.

I know this is more about getting the software info out (which, believe me, is definitely needed), but I think it'd be pretty cool if someone explained some of Vocaloid's culture (meaning going into more detail about the characters, popular songs, some silly thinks like character items, whatever). A little history behind Vocaloid would be interesting, too.
I, myself, am toying around with a "common misconceptions" sort of idea -- I'll see about getting it up when I have some free time.

Not to mention we have a YouTube partner on our side (Well, I think she's a partner, seeing how she has ads on the side of her videos). If you advertise on the makeup video, be sure to mention that Michellephan herself approves of this movement and the video.
Also keep in mind that popular videos don't update in real time, it only updates every few hours.
Though I found an ignorant Vocaloid "fan" on the comments that claimed that Miku was the most realistic one and any other Vocaloids other than the Character Vocal series are unofficial. thankfully, I commented back.

Suggestion: Maybe you could also put a link to the latest Vocaloid comparison video somewhere? (I think it's going to be updated soon, too.) It might give people a better impression of what Vocaloid is like.
Mostly a lurker.

Alright, the tsunami of views and comments on my video has calmed down, now would be a good idea to advertise some more on the main target video, though be sure to mention that MichellePhan herself approves of the video, and to check her favorites if they want proof.

Got it!
My video's up too now, so I'm basically providing links to both.
I really need to thank you for coming up with this project, it's really something that we need with Vocaloid becoming more and more popular all the time. Hopefully this will lead to less incorrect information floating around about Vocaloids.
