Personally, I'm a huge fan of K-pop and J-pop. But here recently, I have to say that Classical and Classical Crossover has taken my number one spot. I mean, the songs can be so epic and emotional (I'm getting cheesy, I know). Take for instance, "Romanza" by Andrea Bocelli—a great song about watching one's true love die before your eyes from a serious illness—or "Con Te Partirò" (which almost everyloid has heard at some point in their life). Sarah Brightman is another great Classical Crossover artist (and really the founder of pop-opera/poppera).

if I may, OP, I can also help you in enlisting extra genres to help define which is which category and such...the list is in spoilers
as for what genre's that I love listening to that is NOT vocaloid music in general, I grew up listening to a lot of pop-punk and punk rock, then growing onto metal, particularly nu-metal, along with classical rock and alternative rock then to finally branching out to trance when I started playing WoW. When I started listening to vocaloid, I fell in love with j-pop and was able to grow onto other genre's as well thanks to vocaloid. before vocaloid, I also remember listening to OST music a lil bit.
Now, I just listen to a variety of genres, but I'll list what I like so far in random order:
Downtempo, nu-jazz, Progressive metal, power metal, nu-metal, classic rock, ambient, new age, jazz, lounge, some hip-hop and rap (still trying to grow onto this genre more), hard trance and regular trance, DnB, instrumental music of mostly any kind of genre (im a big sucker for instrumental music, especially cloudkicke), drone, swing jazz, shoegaze, goa trance, grunge, alternative rock, psychadelic rock, atmospheric, and electronic.
and I hate music that's just screams and gargles. The only kind of music that I'm not entirely confortable to listening to with besides screaming music is country.I'm more than willing to try listening to some more country, though. the only country artist I like so far is just Johnny cash.

Johny Cash? Awesome man, damn haha. I even go as far as to try out bluegrass just for the banjo improvisation.
As for rap I'd suggest going into a different side of it. Try out George Watsky (he does collegiate Poetry Out Loud and is phenomenal), or "Beast Mode" by B.o.B. It's the lyrics that will really get you if you pay close attention. Some rappers sound so ignorant from far, but the lyrical skills they have at times makes me feel like they're smarter than any poet I know.
I'll definitely add those genres. What I might do is add all those tastes of mine in a personal spoiler and then add the genres and all their subgenres into a defined list...it's 6:45 am, I won't do it now lol...and I have to work soon. But yea, I'll organize them into lists and bullets like I did mine. I'll make it a template for others to use at the end with the [code] tag.
Thanks Xyrmorel, hugely appreciated.

When I was younger, I listened to mostly classical music and 60s/70s/80s songs that my dad played. xD Then after watching a lot of anime I got into Jpop and Jrock, which eventually led me to Vocaloid songs. Currently I really like rock, pop, and techno. (:

I tend to like songs more then genres tbh. So I end up listening to a lot.
