IT's just soo scary when I play and I freak the f*ck out but then I'm like "YESSSS, MUST KILL"
(When I freak out...I'm like "OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, AHHHH!" LOL. )
Anywho, I recently got Dead Space 1 and just started playing it.
(It was either Dead Space or Alan Wake, I was like "DEADSPACE!, yesh")
The art direction is crazy amazing and so is the gameplay!
It's like killing two birds with one stone.
Do any of you like deadspace?

Yeah, that game is full of jump scares, which is lovely. I suggest you play it with your speakers and lights off. It's always the best way to play games like these.

I get scared easily... but I still love horror.
;-;
@Chinchen: That's how I was playing it last night, I get scared out of my mind.
Also, right after I stoppped playing... the power went off and on in my house for like 30 minutes...
That was creepy I was like "No necromorphs please!" XD

The second one has twice as much jump scares as the first one, so expect ALOT of scary shit parts.
I suggest you enjoy those scary moments, that adrenaline makes you feel good for several reasons. But give a rest to the game often as well, too much of it can be harmful.

Also, I do enjoy the scary moments alot! I only play like for 30min-an hour because I start shaking from adrealine and get tired from screaming.
My friend told me she had nightmares once and I don't want that to happen.

lol thats a shame the first game was such a masterpeice too(havnt played 2 yet) i was so damn paronoid when playing those games i rarely ever used the run option because i was scared of monsters poping out and attacking me. that game never lets up on the suspense. i would never dare play it with the lights out .the only reason i played it because someone on VO told me it was an awsome game.

It reminds me of the jump from Resident Evil 3 to 4, suddenly we're doing some rather over the top action.

See, things only scare me when I can get properly immersed and actual establish some form of empathy.
Dead Space makes me laugh. Like, hysterically.
The main character is a talking bucket, the only "scary" thing is a couple of dark rooms and monsters jumping out of predictable places, and everything is just so over the top I can't take it seriously. Some people enjoy shock horror, if you do then this game is probably really freaky but I can't even get into this.
CALL ME NEUROTIC, BUT THOSE MONSTERS GOT BORING, STUFF STOPPED BEING SCARY, IT WASN'T FOR ME.
Before defensive fan-boys, this is not a "This is why this game sucks" rant, it's a "I have a hard time playing this type of game".
