I quite enjoyed the first episode of the new anime. Already liking it a lot more than I did for the OVA.

I think the most interesting about the first episode was the characterization of Kagari. The whole "someone else will take on the pain" thing was a bit obvious, wasn't it? Also the red band is obviously going to be an important plot device.

Hng I'm not sure on this anime yet. It could be decent, it could also quickly degenerate. Also, me watching Nisemonogatari right before this might have affected my opinion since it's so amazing. /fanboy

I can already tell this anime is going to be a bloody trainwreck.

I don't like the way the other world(BRS universe) is being handled (Since it's the same as how the OVA treated it no speaking, no explaination, etc, etc). The character personality changes and the animation are kind of mediocre at best.

The only thing I give a shit about are the BRS characters and Kagari. Really. The slice of life shit is uninteresting. I like BRS for the BRS aspect not the 'boohoo touchy feely slicey life friendship' garbage going on in a regular world. If I wanted to watch MLP I would have done so.

i almost completly agree, though i don't mind the no talking and no explanation of the BRS world thats is over all ok, but yes the touchy feely friendship bit makes me slam my head into my desk at times i am still going to watch it.

I'm kind of meh on the show to be honest. I liked the fight scenes all right (I like surreal kind of things like that) but the school scenes just bored me to death!

I actually like the slice of life, friendshippy part, but I'd like it more if it were a seperate series. This show is supposed to be about BRS, not lolletsbefriends and never explain how the BRS world works and keep it abstract because fighting without explainations and just vague references/hints/etc is so cool guiz. 8I

But holy shit, so much stuff happend in less than 10 minutes and I was trying to digest what I was drinking while at it. I can't say I love it, but I can say I do not hate this series at all.

I am not sure what's even going on at this point. The further I watch the series the less and less it makes sense.

I personally am in the middle about this. I kind of like the slice-of-life stuff, with the alternate universe action, or at least i'm assuming it's a AU. The story is sort of odd though. Kagari really annoyed me in the first 3 episodes. I HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR CLINGY CHARACTERS.

I think it's decent, but maybe that's because i'm pretending this has nothing in common with the actual song.

@HoshiNeko: The song as the opening certainly doesn't help, does it? That being said the version they used for the opening is actually pretty good Although it's probably edited for those who don't listen to Vocaloid and aren't used to Miku's high-pitched voice.

Ok, watched 6 episodes so far, and it's FUCKING EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!! Action scene and plot are very good, but I'm not here to comment on this. One of the principal reason I love this anime (beside of BRS, that is epic and cute) is the Opening! As a fan of Miku, I'm proud that Miku got her song (by Supercell) as the opening! LOVE IT!
