I'm still pretty noobish to photoshop even after --3-- 4 years of use, but since I used to have a thread on the old VO forum, I decided to move it over. The stuff I like making are mostly signatures and sometimes avatars depending on the picture. Here's some of my works, and if you have time, please critique? Go easy on me though LOOOOL--Kk. Peace. //rolls away

(( Sorry, they're really big Orz ))

I'm really bad at typography and quality on my signatures/avatarts so, if you guys have any advice please do share with me! (Such as fonts and what-not)

Do not use any of these signatures/avatars listed without asking. Thanks!

Wow! Your stuff is really nice! :0

The only stuff I would recommend is using less generic font. Like, on the Black Rock Shooter signature, the font just looks a little...typical.

You still have nice editing skills and stuff, though. Very nice.

dhapdhapf-- thank you ;;u;; <33

Ohh, of course lol. I made the BRS sig over a year ago, so I've learnt my mistake there. I'll keep that in mind on choosing fonts then. Thanks for the tip! C:

Aaaaaaaaagh, don't mess with the aspect ratio of renders/stocks

Other problem with the text might be how it's placed.

Eh, right.
For the aspect ratio thing, I mean try to avoid stretching or squashing any subjects.

Text... well, that's subjective and individual to each piece.

The way to avoid stretching/squashing is just hold shift when you resize it...

Either the shift (as Kuri says), or make sure the H and W percentage is the same when you resize stuff.

I..have never heard of that. oTL I'll definitely use that when I resize images. I guess I'll also go and search up tutorials to learn new techniques and shortcuts while I'm practicing. Everyday's a learning experience lol
