he LAWSON convenience store chain's new mascot, "Akiko-chan" will receive a synthesized Vocaloid voice makeover to become "Akikoroid-chan," who will act as a navigator for LAWSON's new Nico Nico Douga channel. The channel will officially launch with "Akikoroid-chan's" new look on September 6.
"Akiko-chan" will also act as the company's spokesperson on more than 10 different social media services including Twitter.

Akiko...that's a female name, right? September 6th is next week, so I guess we'll find out soon! I couldn't find a picture of the mascot or anything through Google.

I think they're just throwin' Vocaloid software around now. It's not entirely necessary to have a mascot direct you around a video channel for a convenience store, but I guess if she's animu enough people will buy into it.

What's up with the American miku's design? Some quoted that the winner gets a flight to san francisco, on other page it said the winner will go to japan to a concert.
When was vocaloid this confusing for me?!

When you have a wikia to babysit and have spent two days updating little bits and before you finished one another needs updating... Then you start wondering if its worth being interest in something else. I remember stalking VO forums and seeing the confusion around Big Al. I think we all have suffered a little bit of "Big Al's syndrome" ever since. For a newbie coming into this fandom right now, it must be overwhelming because I know veterans are started to get dizzy over it.

Yeah, I can't imagine the wikia thing. I mean soo many new vocaloids, cds and things like are comign out soo quickly.
