I shouldn't, but I will anyway. Besides the ones that have been mentioned already, I have two art pet peeves. (And again these are not aimed at anyone in particular.)

1. Hiding the hands and feet. Now no one has failed at hands and feet more than I have, but by golly, I'm going to keep drawing full body shots with both hands visible until I'm embarrassed enough to learn to get them right!
2. Drawings on lined paper or graph paper. Putting aside that I'm a teacher and it makes me think they drew it in class, have some pride already.

And finally, two title pet peeves.

3. "CHIBI ENGLAND FEMALE VERSION AT AGE 7.4 PLAYING CROQUET ON ROLLERBLADES!!!1!!eleven" If you have to describe it that carefully for me to be able to tell who/what it is, you have failed.
4. "Sasuke FAIL" (alternate form: "Sasuke HERP DERP") Your piece either succeeds or fails on its own. Calling it a success will not stop it from being a fail, and if it is indeed a fail, calling it one will not make us think better of it. Now I'm very aware that I'm an amateur, and goodness knows I've failed plenty. I try not to post the worst fails, though.

And boobs. Nothing has ever been so inaccurately represented in so many different ways.

Especially in animu/hentai where artists seem to think every single woman has breasts with tiny pink areola and nipples. Even characters with dark skin.

I know I've been guilty of a lot of these at one point or another xD But such is life.

My pet peeves:

• sameface - something I struggle with more when drawing females than males
• kawaii desu animu eyes that are either huge emotionless rectangular blocks, or where the iris somehow curves inwards
• when the top of the mouth is in-line with or above the bottom of the eyes
• skinny long fingers
• underboob
• pink sparkle blushes on every joint... I don't mind the sparkle necessarily but keep those on the face only please
• abuse of white specks for a "glitter" effect
• flounder mouth (i.e. when the character turns sideways and their mouth is just kinda pasted there on the side without the lips or jaw changing shape)
• abuse of circle highlights in hair... one or two can be cute for a stylized look but any more than that and they look like they have polka dots

Yeah, when I want that I stop my whining to get my ass over to a fandom that wants their men manly. And really just stay the hell away from Kuroshit and Hetalia.
I usually end up with TF2, but hell, at least there's only one boy there that even comes close to bishie... Well, I've seen Sniper bish before, but only twice and one was a parody.

Anyway, I'm guilty of a shit load of stuff in this thread, though at least I'm getting over sameface and I'm trying to keep the blushing (sunburn lol) to anatomically affected areas now... Tips of ears, cheeks, bridge of nose... A little on shoulders. But really, my girlfriends entire body goes red when she blushes so um yeah I don't care about that one so much.

My hates are really:

No color theory improvement.

Simply making a character with clashing colors is fine if you rectify it, not everyone is born with color-commonsense, but going with the same neon colors and black+red+purple+yellow+white color schemes for years is just STUPID. Really, has no one told you in the six plus years you've been drawing that your character burns their eyes? No one?

Artists have their flaws too! Even if you start drawing in stylistic rather than learning the basics first then moving on (which does work for some people, but not everyones brains are the same in every way), you should as least REFERENCE anatomy sheets and real people (even if it's yourself).

Also, if you prefer one anime/manga artist you may end up with a copy-cat style... and they're hard to shake. Especially the mainstream shonen/shoujo styles. Furuba was, admittedly, easy to get rid of (though I caught it early), but copying Tite Kubo, Takeshi Obata or other similarly recognizable art styles is not only difficult to change from, if you learned everything directly with little other influence, but it's bad for your art. People will point it out. No doubt.

And you just generally come off as a bit of an uncultured weaboo, when you may or may not be. Though that just seems to come with big eyes so IDK

You should take in more than one type of reference material... This goes for every style, from superhero, to manga, to webcomics.
Real life, comics in styles you don't usually read, movies, games, books, animals.

Don't become an elitist when you were never influenced by anime/manga, either. It's not all shite desu moeblobs, especially the manga. Funnily enough, it has genres, too. Manga just means comic, and honestly, there's even Japanese who draw their "manga" in American style because that's just how their art is. Check out Vagabond or something more Seinen before you judge, man. /endrant

Otherwise, not much else really annoys me... Maybe mixing coloring styles or exclusively soft shading with the blur/airbrush tool...
