Its a departure for the norm but I think it fits well with the name of his extended bank.

Tis Otakune Weeaboo's 1st Birthday so decided to celebrate with a sneak preview of his new bank and a UTAU Original due to come out sometime soon.

I was wondering if anyone could draw a box art for me. Here's a picture of what I wanted her to look like:

An avatar version: Her name is Jynx Sakamoto. I already had the idea of what she looked like in mind, I didn't just pick a random picture. Her signature item is a scythe, she's 14, 5" 2', and weighs 124 lbs. Her usual outfit is a strapless black dress with a dark blue ribbon that ties in the back and has ruffles on the end. ^w^

Don't forget the side art. Most people don't do side art for their box art so I wonder if they package their software in cubes.

Had to redo the name vertically too since I didn't save all my dev files when I first did the front =/ Took me a while to get the rising sun all seamless but I am quite happy with the results.


It is pretty simple and can be done with Google's free SketchUp software.

If you want I can create a guide but its VERY easy:
  • Create a box for the base of your box.
  • Stretch it 'u'p to desired height.
  • Apply images as textures to sides.
  • Rotate it how you want it.

Yes, it is a real bank.

Why I animated an entire PV in what I am now calling a "postmodern minimalist" style for his first release.

Also happen to be looking into making a MMD model. Never done much modeling outside of CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) but "postmodern minimalist" should be pretty interesting in 3D

Key features of Otakune Weeaboo include his prominent chin so that will be fun to model.

Currently his bank is completed but "private".

When his new Original featuring his ExtenZed bank is released later in the next week expect it to include the public release of his original bank.

What do you mean, for the names? People usually pick out the kana reading of their characters' names when deciding on their names in the first place. I don't see why translation would be an issue.
