Alright if it's a repeat that's... Eh... BUT!
There is however one thing that interests me. It's going on both the 8th and 9th. Apparently, On the 8th is "MikuPa" and on the 9th is "39's Day" Which makes me wonder something...
With the devision of 5pb and SEGA, you think their each doing their own concert this time? It'd really be interesting to see if 5pb and SEGA try to outdo each other as much as possible. I'm extremely interested in that.
I guess we'll have to wait and see though...

Well, the Anime News Network actually said Sega is collaborating with MAGES for the concert.

I'm going with the theory that it says "final" as a play on the whole end of the world thing.

I wonder if the whole 'having both Mikupa and 39's Day' within days of each other is almost...like a competition or something. Like maybe the concert style that sells more tickets will be the style in which they do the next ones?

I like the idea that they may have a new method of doing the concerts that isn't quite ready yet and that's why they're putting these up. To give people something while they're waiting. I hope that's the case. I mean, it's like what was said earlier in the thread; it just makes no sense to drop it now that Vocaloid is gaining popularity.

In any case, this is something they should clear up soon, or people will freak out.

*Deep sigh* And unless they change the concerts (like the changes made to 39 for Mikunopolis) Meiko and Kaito are denied another year.

Virtual>Real don't worry too much about it. one of the other concert venues is going to use Kaito and Meiko. when Sega, crypton and the others see the reaction to that i think it will be a short time before they start including them in their own concerts.
oh never mind

I want Kaito (And I guess Meiko too but I dun really like her) in a concert more than I want a Vocaloid concert right in my own backyard. >:[

V>R: sorry. it was Gumi and Gakupo. I had faulty memory. so Crypton and company may not get the message from it and transfer it to Meiko and Kaito.

That said, I hope they aren't in the 39's+MikuPa concerts; that means there'll be more to come! :D

Also, I still have hope: Miku said (in her Engrish-beta way): "I'm looking forward to seeing you again." IT MUST BE TRUE IF MIKU SAYS SO

Hmm...
SEGA: MikuFes', Miku No Hi Kanshasai/39's Givings Day, MikuNoPolis 3
5PB : MikuFes', Miku No Hi Kanshasai/39's Givings Day, MikuPa Tokyo, MikuPa Sapporo, Mikupa Singapore` 5
Funny how I can form a thesis and support it in a well developed, 7+ paragraph essay about why x is better than y on here, but when it comes to school...

The dangerous new project seems to be decided. I am too glad.

I wonder if this is what Crypton's twitter was referring to. 'Course, that's vague enough to be about anything.

Okay! I anticipated this event and made sure I can have one or two weeks holiday when it happens. Now I just need to get tickets to the concert and I'm ready to go to Tokyo in March 2012. I was there this March as well, but only managed to visit the mikupa shop and watch the concert in a movie theater. There was a lottery for this year's tickets as well, but I wasn't lucky enough to win any tickets. This time it seems to be a larger venue and the event lasts two days, so hopefully they have more seats available. I don't wanna miss it this time if at all possible. Who else here is going?

So as soon as anyone hears about the tickets, please tell me. I doubt the tickets can be purchased overseas, so anyone who wants one probably needs a contact in Japan, or has to handle it through a proxy service (like I did this year).

Just to clarify things, SEGA and 5PB collaborated on both MikPa and 39s Giving Day as well as Mikunopolis.

The difference is that for Mikunopolis and 39s Giving Day, SEGA are the lead event organiser with 5PB taking the back seat. On the other hand, SEGA/Marza only worked on the visuals for 5PB's concerts.

I HOPE they have a new 'tour set' planned for after this probably combining the best of both, so hopefully this will translate into: Flashy laser lights everywhere, Miku moves like she has no brain damage what-so-ever, and a great band (SEGA concert band please).

I hope they have a new song line-up. And considering the "final" word, let's hope they try their best to make it epicly grand.

For some reason, I think I have a strong feeling they changed the next concert name because they want to include updated Kaito and Meiko (to boost sales). I hope that's really the case, so all Cryptonloid Fans will be happy.

I'm going to be trying my best to go to both of these concerts as well. I was at MikuNoPolis in LA earlier this year but didn't get a good enough seat.

What do you mean "There was a lottery"? I thought the lottery was between November 23rd and December 12th. I'm really hoping that there aren't too many lottery tickets so that if I buy a general ticket early enough I'll get a really good seat. Either that or actually win the lottery; that would be sweet.

"So as soon as anyone hears about the tickets, please tell me." So far all I know is the lottery dates and that general tickets go on sale January 28th, according to http://miku.sega.jp/info/0300.

Thank you very much for mentioning. the possible need for a proxy service. I totally didn't even think about that. What proxy service are you using?

If everything goes well in the next couple months we should meet up in Tokyo. Sounds like you're more experienced with the country and language, this will be my first time going to Japan.
Hope to see you there.

That would be great, and it would make sense. The advertisements for Mikupa, Mikunopolis and 39s had CV 1-3 in them so maybe they think the public now associates those concerts with just those Vocaloids so they figure adding new Vocaloids warrants a new approach and a new name.

Not just that, but 39 pigeon held them to March, and if they want to hold more concerts on more or different dates, that name has probably got to go. Don't know if they want to keep 'Mikupa' though. That'll probably just make everyone think of the first one, and there was quite a lot of backlash surrounding that concert.

Eh....I can only say what I'm hoping for.

By the way, you think Sony would lend SEGA and Crypton this?

Heh.
