I bet they were referring to just the crypton vocaloids.

I'd say it's a guarantee that's what was meant. None of the Vocaloids outside of Crypton's (except Gumi obviously) have anywhere near enough of a following to justify the expense required to put together one of these concerts. That's not a knock against those voicebanks at all, it's just the truth of it.

Well, Gakupo has a pretty good follow, and SeeU is gaining a lot of popularity, but yeah, no way they'll ever be in a concert with Crypton (unless it's another promotional event like Voccafarre and Crypton has something to present there).

I still say there's hope for duets considering Project Mirai has Happy Synthesizer and Matryoshka.

True, I could see Crypton pairing up with Internet Co, Ltd (sorry if I got that wrong) and doing a gumi duet. Although anything more than gumi is kind of hoping for too much for now. They still give luka and len barely any songs.

even worse with Kaito and Meiko, sadly.

But, won't it be nice to see all vocaloids on the stage? It's highly unlikely, but I'm sure it'll get more attention than only Cryptonloids with Miku domination.

It would be nice to see a Vocaloid chorus live performance. The 7-Vocaloid Yume Miru Kotori would sound really good, and Mr Music would be amazing.

I think they were just testing them out in this concert. I think (at least I hope) they will be used slightly more in the future ones.

I could see SeeU getting her own concerts in South Korea (actually I think I may have read somewhere that the company was considering doing concerts with her).

As for the whole "It's a Miku concert and if the other Vocaloids got more time then the Miku fans wouldn't like it" thing... Uh, all the promotional things done for it have Miku, Rin, Len, and Luka in the same picture together, and they had plenty of swag for the other Vocaloids including Kaito and Meiko. The banner ads on Nico Nico Douga feature Rin, Len, and Luka, all the same size as Miku, together. Plus, most people who like Miku will probably know about other Vocaloids and I doubt people will go "Oh great Kaito's in this concert, I'm leaving. I DEMAND A REFUND.". Hell, it could be a way to promote their other Vocaloids.

I know Sega's in it for promoting the games and the sales and they hate the guys, but I'm sure 5BP could do something better than that. I mean, they certainly give Len more love when it comes to song selection even if his hair is wonky. And they brought in Kaito, who had an amazing response from the audience.

Also worth mentioning is that Project Mirai is called "Hatsune Miku AND FUTURE STARS" and everyone but Gumi is on the box this time. And before that, Project Diva Extend had all the Vocaloids on the UMD. They're starting to get it.

As for other companies... Probably not gonna happen. The most I could see is perhaps Gumi and Gakupo appearing for Matryoshka and Imitation Black.

That's an incorrect characterization of the arguments made. I and others didn't say fans would be upset if Luka or Len got another song(I'd be happy, myself). We're saying that these are openly billed as Hatsune Miku concerts, with the other Vocaloids being guest vocalists, I guess you could say.

Always with Miku most prominent and with her name in the title. Of course the other Vocaloids feature in promotional materials. It would be silly to exclude them, and sillier not to sell their merch where there's money to be made. But that doesn't make them not primarily Hatsune Miku concerts.

Again, this is a strawman argument, although I don't know if it's intentional or not. I haven't seen anyone say anything that extreme since I started following this thread, and I know I didn't say it, or even imply it.

I suggested exactly that as well, yes.

I doubt that. Er, the second part I mean, certainly they're in it for money, as they should be. But I doubt they're making business decisions on something so irrational as personal animosity towards some virtual idols. They're not rabid fangirls/boys, they're businesspeople.

I'd love to see more of the other Vocaloids, Luka especially, even if Miku is and forever will be my favorite. But I think it's entirely understandable and reasonable that Miku has always received top billing so far.

Alright, I guess that's true. They want to play it safe, I guess. They know Miku sells. Let's hope they learn from the rabid screaming when Kaito appeared that yes, Kaito is very popular. Good job.

My main problem is the news articles that think Miku is the only one just because of the exposure. But I know it can't be helped, American News will forever fail to do the research involving things from our generation (Especially Fox News lol. They can't even do properly researched reports on video games from our own country like Mass Effect, yet alone something like Miku and Vocaloid).

But, that's why I started Project Inform. I don't mind if Crypton and Sega want to run Miku into the ground, if that works for them I'm fine. I'm not Crypton or Sega. But my own personal goal is to get knowledge of Vocaloid out to the world, and not just through "Squeaky hologram chinese sailor moon", but through amazing technology able to mimic the human voice.

As for the "hating the guys thing"... I seriously think they do. Kaito's legs are a mess in the Project Diva games, Len only got one song in the Sega concert while the other concert had Kaito and quite a few Len songs, which had tons of cheering. Even Meiko gets more love than Kaito and Len and she only just recently got a solo song with over a million views on Nico and I'm pretty sure even Gakupo sells better than her. Considering Len and Kaito's popular, I really don't see any other reason why. But "Sega hates the guys" is mostly in a joking tone.

There's a post at Miku's official Facebook page by someone who saw a DVD of the two 2012 concerts in a store and there is a photo of the box. The poster doesn't state which country he or she is in. A bootleg, no doubt, as we've seen nothing to indicate that these have been released by the real owners of the material, but it would be interesting to know what the quality looks like. Niconico web stream quality or theater stream quality?

Edited to add: A Google search turned up evidence that this DVD originates from Malaysia.

At best it's probably going to be the 1080i rip that went around (and was missing a few minutes at the end of each half), probably with the stream quality spliced in for the missing bits.

Not worth thinking about really - just stick with the rips for rewatching now and get the real BD when it comes out for actual quality. I know I'll be importing it, just like the other concerts.

Official answer regarding the "Finale".
According to my friend it is the finale of the 39 band
(the 4 musicians in the video below)
but not the final concert of Hatsune Miku.

The 39 was form for Miku's 2nd concert last Aug. 31, 2009
and yes they are the musician from MikuFes 09
but they don't have a band name back then.

They received their name as the 39 on Miku's 3rd concert last March 09, 2010
to match along with the pun of 3 & 9.

So it's apparently the band that's stop playing in Vocaloid concerts.
