So basically, my school is super expensive, and I'm just barely making it with student loans. And on top of that, my upcoming animation capstone winter quarter has a HUGE lab fee, and is requiring a list of 10+ insanely expensive books. (I've already talked to the professor, but there's not a whole lot I can do since apparently the government would rather my father sell his house and not eat to pay for school instead of giving me some financial aid) At this point I have to start looking at what I can sell to get the cash. Really, the only thing I have that I can resell for a decent price are my VOCALOIDs. It's really breaking my heart, but I have to make a choice. I won't need to sell all of them, but I can't even begin to start thinking about who to get rid of.
oh man... I'm in the dumps right now :'C

If you've gotta sell the Vocaloids then so be it I guess, you gotta do what you gotta do and all that.
Like others are saying though, you could do commisions and such or get a part-time job if you don't already have one.
It really does suck though, I'm sorry you've gotta do all that just to pay for school stuff.

I've had a little time to think about it, and I've made a little piece. I've been in contact with my school's Japanese club and they said they had some members that may be interested in buying my Japanese ones. (I don't use them much so those would be the natural choice to sell I guess.) I suppose someone who actually speaks Japanese often would make a better home for them anyway.
I'm still a little sad, but I'll be ok. I'm going to keep all of my Engloids, and maybe one of my JPloids. There's enough people in the community, that if I need one of the voices I sell again, I can always collab. :3
Thanks again for the support.

Now I'm wondering where I'll head since my FAFSA will soon be exhausted away.
I don't know what to think of student loans. It's basically using the government to continue. As for the books, I don't buy books, if you can find e-books online that can help you it'd probably be better, just gotta know the name of those books and search their pdf/online database on google.
What I'm planning here is that I'm probably going to transfer, hell, I'm not even through half of my year yet and I'm already considering to do so. It's a tough path to take, and who knows what I'll get out of it besides debt.

Also, I found a transfer student who is very excited to buy them from me. He speaks fluent Japanese and wants to become a DJ. I can feel much better knowing that at least they'll go to a good home where they'll be used often.
Thanks for letting me vent, I feel much better now. Good luck to everyone with similar issues! We'll all make it through somehow.

I don't know if I'm in a comfortable situation anymore. One of my friends apparently went to the college I'm going to once and yet I talked to her about it just today. I could have dig into more research rather than going to an expensive college so prematurely (I mean, hell, I basically am housed by fear to make such decisions) Anyways, there's the community college and it actually had graphic designing degree. I don't know if I'm pissed or what, but the thought of it can be stressing.
Ugh, it's not too late to change I hope. If I continued, I'd probably be caged under student loans.

Like stormbringer suggested, maybe you should drop a few of your classes and receive some money back. I really hope you don't have to sell your Vocaloids. Maybe you could check if some friends could help you pay for school. I really hope you could get some form of donation, if that is at all possible.
Maybe next semester, you'll take only as many classes as you can pay for. It'll extend the number of years it takes you to graduate, but at least you can afford it and you'll graduate eventually. Not everyone graduates in four years of college, I might be in college for longer than four years because I kept changing my degree. Infact, I might be changing my degree again.
My UTAU, Valkyrie.
