So I'm just about done recording a Vocaloid trance metal EP that I've been working on for a few months now. I have a basic understanding of mixing and have released albums in the past for previous metal projects but for this project I really want a perfect and professional mix. I was wondering if anyone here has ever used any professional mixing services for their projects and which ones produced the best results with vocaloid? Are there any individuals or services that specialize in pro mixing vocaloid songs?

Craigslist.

eh local places are too expensive (like 300+ per song), online there are services that will mix for like $150-200 per song or so but I was looking to see if there was anything cheaper or any services specific for vocaloid

You could ask a Japanese P, or NeutrinoP, or Redshift, or Apol, since they are the best English-speaking mixers. But "perfect and professional" sounds like something that's going to require compensation.

Even if you want $50 a song, say it takes at least 8 hours/one working day per song for mixdown and mastering, plus if you want heavy electric guitars, that's only $6.25 an hour, below minimum wage in most states.

haha I've already read all these, and it was nothing I already knew, I've been doing intermediate mixing for a while now. I mean I know how to eq and mix and what not but I was looking more into having Audio Engineers who have degrees in the subject on mastering my EP. I've been looking around and asked some of my other music friends about it and I think I found a couple studios I can take it to to have it professionally mixed and mastered. I'm probably going to dump $600 on the whole EP but I should be worth it. I'll be releasing it on some major distro platforms like iTunes and Spotify anyway.
