producer's note:
returning from the long hiatus with a new song. Personally I think this title is the coolest title I've titled so far.
this song was written to focus on the meaning of existence of vocaloids.
one of the most criticisms vocaloid receives is the question how is vocaloids different from idol music with autotune plastered all over it and I wrote this song in order to provide my answer to this question.at least I wanted to show that such songs like these can come from the vocaloid music, that unlike the popular music where marketability cannot be ignored, vocaloid genre is where you can really practice the music that you want.
in that stream of thought, this song is a song with sole emphasis on artistic value ignoring any marketability or popularity.
It is a 16 minute song depicting a person's life through change in season and time in 4 different phases, and in accordance with the nature of the song almost all the instruments in the world was used and thus is very grand.
after completing this song, I don't even know which genre it should be in.
I feel a bit tentative since this kind of music was never heard from the vocaloid genre
I'm also glad to express my real style in such completeness but um
...
the music is heavily influenced by Korean traditional music.
I recommend that you listen to it in an environment which you can fully appreciate it with the volume up
enjoy~

Spoiler
Spring Dawn
the day the far edge of the sky brightens
strong wind blows against my eyes
awaken spring dawn
the day the fresh scent of the flowers rise
rivers and mountains greet that sun
come forth spring dawn
the sky will open and see the land
the land will open and see me
all the sunlight shall open their eyes
이 날
this day
awaken spring dawn
breathe spring dawn
many butterflies fly by, the cloud ocean swells
sweat bursts forth and flies far
a wind becomes a wave, and turning by a tree
jostles along to the blue sky as if all the sky and earth are it's own.
vast lands hug a river
small river hugs a forest
they pile up among themselves, turn around and around in a dance
a bird drunk on the day goes 'cuckoo, cuckoo'
Throws a drunken tantrum then leaves after snatching the rest of the dew
metallic sky is overcast
the leaves tangle up amongst themselves,
and rice plants all lift their ears up then fall on top of each other
herd of black clouds rumble in, the wind becomes more and more vicious
raindrops fall and the thunder crashes down
white fire come dwell in me
like that water flowing in the world
winds in the field burn me
so this body becomes a handful of dirt
amongst the clouds one sunshine pokes its head out
spotty boulders open their closed mouths
by the time rain fog is formed the wet grass lifts its head
more heavy rain comes and pours from the top of a waterfall
rain falls to floods sunshine falls to droughts
the spearblades of the sky are ultimately dull
gray sky fades and in comes the typhoon
water floods in and every one is swept away to the bald mountain
a hundred years are like a year and a year is like a day
and now the day is at its end, with a rainbow rising on the hill
We'll clean away all the debris and meet under the sunset
the light that opens the morn now flies toward evening
white fire come dwell in me
like that water flowing in the world
winds in the field burn me
so this body becomes a handful of dirt
born from the light of the sky
live the life of the sky
wilt by burying my bones on the warmth of the land
when the new morn opens bright I will, as a person,
Be born
3. 가을저녁 - autumn evening
(instrumental)
seeu hums/sings random words that don't really have meaning... at least, as far as I could tell
some distant echo spreads, dampening the dry earth
and here my body sleeps covered by the blanket of night
moon stop your tears
I will be buried with the days that have nowhere to go
come winter night
a falling star says this winter too shall pass
the brook says the dark will call the light
when the new morn comes this body will again be born all white
flow winter night
삼년
three years
이년
two years
일년
one year
again - a thousand years
awaken spring dawn
come forth spring dawn
breathe spring dawn
flow spring dawn
I will awaken x5
note: the lyrics are in the old-style poetry though the words are simple enough...
I wanted to say the lyrics are really really beautiful and that my translation doesn't do it justice - though they never really do anyways, this one especially so OTL
+just so you know I went for a literal translation b/c I didn't want to misinterpret:Q
Awwww, if only there was a niconicodouga link.
I really want the Mp3 for this!
mp3's up on crecrew -(http://www.crecrew.net/login?return=http%253A%252F%252Fprogreseeu.crecrew.net%252Fw798) but you need a crecrew account to download it...:Q
Absolutely gorgeous :o I am currently floundering around on crecrew trying to figure out how to make an account so I can download this. (This site looks really cool too, a whole site dedicated to creator-made SeeU music?) The creator also uploaded this to NicoNico douga http://www.nicovideo...atch/sm16372621 Maybe it can get on the Weekly Vocaran :)
Also, thanks for the translation

It's not the creator who uploaded it onto Nico someone reprinted it without the creator's permission but the creator said it was okay after he found out about it.
Crecrew is made by SBS and dedicated to creator-made vocaloid music in general, but since it is a Korean site:Q and SeeU just came out SeeU songs and pics are what you'd see most on there. If you're still interested in making an account in crewcrew here's a guide I made http://cfile10.uf.ti...74EC4B7F2309A0A some time ago
+and the reason there's only SeeU everywhere is because of copyright issues... SBS only has the copyright to their own vocaloid:Q
even if you don't have an account you can still see the videos, just not comment or go to the 'sharing' area.
oh and you're welcome XD I wish I had better translating skills:Q
This is absolutely amazing. I have seen vocaloids sing in similar styles to this before, but to actually make a 16 minute epic is something I have yet to see. The lyrics were beautiful, as was the art. And even if that is a reprint, I'm definitely hoping it gets on the vocaran too. About time SeeU got some recognition.
I was told that he used over eighty kinds of VSTI and other source for this sound.
And he composed this one after he've learned some Korean traditional melody and instrument.
Originally he want to be a novelist, so I think this composer tend to or try to include a epic narrative story in all his compositions.
