Also, it's not that Obama is bad himself. Back then, it was our only option, it was either him or McCain with a dumbass runner up. But Obama has done A LOT to try to do his best. He was just put in at one of the worst economic times. Don't expect him to fix everything with a magic wand like that =/

like
Cyrus The Great - Persia
Alexander The Great - Macedon
Julius Caesar - Roma
Hatshepsut and Cleopatra - Egypt
Saladin - Iraq
etc
Those were not presidents. They ruled in a monarchy/aristocracy. Anyways, Alexander brutally treated the Indians when he invaded and conquered India and forced them to change religion. Cleopatra tried to manipulate Caesar, but Caesar never gave in.
Caesar seems like the only great ruler on that list. In the bible it says he was destined to rule the secular world.
You forgot about George Washington. Not only because he is the first president and helped the revolution, his colleagues (Jefferson, etc.) at one time wanted him to become "King" of America. But he never wanted to have a second term, and WALKED AWAY FROM ALL THAT POWER. For any human, that would be a hard decision. He is also the only president to release all his slaves before he died.
If your school has a Philosophy class, take it.

I wrote ,etc as a continuing list.
In my opinion, Cyrus The Great may not be a president, but he outbeats Washington, it's just an opinion of course
He rescued the Jewish from Babylon, liberated them, he allowed them back to the holy land.
He respected others religious beliefs and cultures within his empire.
His tomb is not very fancy looking either.
Washington dosen't even match him IMO
He only FREED slaves before he DIED.
Cyrus freed slaves while he was ALIVE and well.

You're forgetting the topic. That's fine and dandy, but we're talking about Rick Perry.
This is not a discussion of leaders but rather the future of America as it stands now, and not in XXXX BC. I respect your opinion and your thoughts, but it's in no way on topic. Our government and current constitutional faults in no way relate to rescuing people of the Jewish faith or Jews for that matter (there is a difference, didn't you know?), because I'm sure Cyrus didn't go through Congress to make decisions such as those. The biggest fault with your argument is the lack of checks and balances. There was no system, just "hey let's go rescue Jews." Not to say the system we have today existed when George Washington around, but you get the point of irrelevancy to the now.
You have great input but try to make it relative to the topic at hand Zera, if you don't have anything relevant to say it's better not to say anything at all. Sometimes less is more. Thanks~

Defending current president aside, it would be pretty cool if someone had a contest to redefine Perry's name like they did with "The" Santorum. Just sayin'.
It seems like every candidate this upcoming election is some form of horrible human being except Obama, who would likely continue being Jimmy Carter Jr.
- Rick Perry: Already been discussed
- Michelle Bachman: She's best buds with the Tea Partiers, and in the past was part of a movement to end the separation of church and state. That said, I don't know if she's still a part of that movement, but she likely hasn't changed her stance.
- Ron Paul: LMAO libertarian, racist, gold standard, tin foil hat crazy
- Newt Gingrich: He seems awfully popular but for some reason I can't remember any of his major political stances at the moment, aside from being firmly Republican, so I'll refrain from commenting
- Mitt Romney: Seems to want to fill the shoes of George Bush jr. That sentence alone should tell you a lot about him.
- Rick Santorum: his kids can fake crying on television and his surname is unofficially defined as "that mixture of cum and feces that can pool up due to anal sex with an unclean person." I'm so sorry I didn't bring up any of his beliefs, but ahahaha he was so hated before that a radio station legit held a contest to redefine his surname.
Those were mostly on issues government likes to use to dodge important issues such as wealth disparity and the military getting home, but I was afraid of making this post more tl;dr then it already was, so I stuck with them
TL;DR - moving to another country sounds like a great idea if you can afford it! Me? The upcoming presidential election is such a joke that I'm just gonna write in Vocaloid names for votes

This, Gingrich had some pretty strange, and negative views on the middle and poor classes. He also thinks stereotypes are facts, he said some shit earlier in the week but I can't remember what he said correctly. Ron Paul seems to be the less retarded of the bunch but I don't like racists so... I miss the pizza guy...
I wouldn't take anything Rick Perry says seriously. This is the same guy that threaten to have Texas seceded from the country but happily accepted stimulus money.

Honestly, I really haven't been following the news closely at all, let alone politics. Being as conservative as I am, I'll be satisfied as long as Obama isn't re-elected and we don't get someone who embarrasses us. I dislike his stances (Of course, since I'm conservative) and don't see why he's gotten any praise, since he hasn't really done anything. America was pretty much sitting around saying "Hey! Do something!" but not much really happened. But I feel like I would like him if he weren't a politician, because then he'd just be a cool dude.
If I had to support anyone, I'd say Mitt Romney is alright even though he's very iffy with some of his stances. Iirc, he was back and forth about how he felt about some things and it makes me feel a bit uneasy. But we'll see how I feel later when I actually start getting back into politics and stuff. And I really can't say much about Newt Gingrich either. Have no clue what he stands for.

Hmmm... the current candidates? Well, okay, why not? I'll talk.
~~~~~
Okay, that was a little too easy to be misunderstood, so, to anyone who read the old post, I apologize.
May I recommend starting a newt topic titled 'Republican Primaries 2012' or 'American Elections 2012'?
I'll just say this, out of the current crop of candidates, I'm with Newt Gingrich.
Why am I with Newt?
I'm with Newt because the guy's got the Knowledge and Experience to reform this country back into the Global Superpower that it was and rightfully ought to be (as the 3rd Largest Nation on Earth).
I'm with Newt because he's not afraid to take on the tough challenges that the rest of the world is presenting to us.
I'm with Newt because he's the man with the plan, the plan to revitalize American Economy saving $700,000,000 a year by way of a proven system that has been working in the Private Sector for years.
I'm with Newt because I'm a Reagan Conservative and I believe that Newt Gingrich is the man that will finally lead America into the 21st century.
Finally, I leave you this.
Thank you for your time.
P.S: Also, Chuck Noris endorced him, need I say more?
