^ oooh, I have alot more songs to listen too! and yeah, I think people just needed time to really get the hang of him and use him to closer to his possible full potential. I can't write any Vocaloid completely off because I'm constantly surprised by them in different songs handled by different producers.(not even Gachapoid lol)

Yeah, when I first heard Vy1 was supposed to be gender less, I was extremely curious as to how it would sound. Once I heard a demo...I called her a she from then on. VY2 is obviously male, like ridiculously so in my opinion lol. Actually, I haven't heard a song from his "Genderbend" yet. Though as with all the other male vocaloids, I'd probably wouldn't like it much VY2 sounds so lovely "manly" so to speak.

The story you had with VY2 meeting Tonio and the twins was also cute. I lol'ed at Prima ( I think our head cannons on her are similar XD) Currently working on a doodle myself *felt inspired*

And as far as shipping...depends on the two Vocaloids and who I am around/what thread I'm posting in/stuff like that.(I can be pretty serious about it and speak strictly of their voices or get super crazy silly maybe a little pervyand discuss them character wise.) For VY2, I don't have anyone I'd ship him with so I'm open to anyone, male or female lol. I don't have a favorite duet partner for him either.

Well, "Tsukiyukihana" is officially a new favorite of mine. The orchestral introduction is a bit long, but it's worth it -- and is in my opinion worthy of video game or movie soundtrack music.

As I think I said in the description, VY2 and Tonio cowering in fear of Prima behind the couch is an absolutely irresistible subject. The facial expressions on all three of them will be beyond hilarious. Someday I shall draw this!

Also, I noticed you faved my drawing! I'll have to visit your page and fave a drawing and/or hit the Stalk Watch button. I think people who draw Vocaloids should stick together -- although I'm in a new fanart phase at the moment involving butching up the bishies of Kaikan Phrase, one day I'll draw Vocaloids again.

Yup, I liked that VY2 drawing <3 <3 Going on a VY2 fan art spree in a bit so I'll be faving stuff like crazy~ ( or bookmarking since I also like Pixiv. Not too crazy about Piapro but I still check there from time to time) Ah, no worries on that, you don't have to at all! I mostly draw VanaN'ice stuff or Kaito and Len. Though I will be expanding my horizons soon >w< There are way more Vocaloids I want to draw.

I couldn't bear it anymore and added the fanclub bar thing to my signature. I couldn't figure out why the Len one wasn't showing, until I remembered I'd blocked it with ad blocking software since it moves. I hate moving doodads. But I just added a Len song and a Len Append song to my favorites today, so for Len I'll make an exception.

I meant that VY2 sounds like a lounge singer in his song "Kizuiteyo". Though there are a lot worse things he could sound like than a lounge singer. I actually see VY2 as a hard worker and surprisingly straight-laced in spite of his pink hair, and I can't help being influenced in wanting to buy him in that he'd have a great work ethic and get along famously with the other Vocaloids on my hard drive once he learns to navigate getting along with Prima and Rin also Len. Whereas I think KAITO would sit around and complain and demand ice cream and manicures.

Another scenario that I must draw is Len screaming after walking in on VY2 in the men's room as he's dyeing his hair black. "What on earth is wrong with you? I've got a gig tonight as Samurai Yuuma, that's all."

and LOL, I can just see a giant sweat bubble on Len's face and VY2 looking dead serious in the mirror judging how he looks xD ( then not being happy, dyes it again a different color, repeats process with seven different colors and ends up dying his hair back to pink/shot)

What I wonder is what producers are doing to give the effect of more emotion. I bet it's mostly in dynamics and/or vibrato, with maybe some pitch bends.

As for VY2 in that three-piece suit, that's for when he sings classical music. Which I already have about three jobs planned for him. Try as I might, I just couldn't see him in a tux like Tonio, even though Len was easy to imagine in a tux and with his hair down. (I think that page links to another script with Tonio helping Len putting the finishing touches on his tux, which must also be drawn someday.)

I don't see any really glaring anatomical errors -- I might have rounded out his pelvic area / lower abdomen a bit more perhaps, where the belt is -- but I will scold you for hiding his hands inside the sleeves of his hoodie. That's cheating!

I also love it when the Vocaloids draw long notes and then have really nice vibrato going on ( I hope that is the correct term, or tremolo is it?) One of the first things I'll do when if when I get VY2 is to make pop and classical settings for him, just like I did with Rin and Len. Len in a tux is how I envision my classical setting for him, "Len_StuckUp." Of course I called Rin's classical setting "Rin_TonedDown" (I'm sure you see what I did there). Len_StuckUp does fine as either a soprano or an alto, and I have examples of him as both on my SoundCloud page.

Good luck with all the fan art! (haha, I usually make Len super shota so it is nice to see him drawn in other ways by other people) I even think I made VY2 a bit too cute orz. I have a habit of making things that are cool, "cute". ( Then again, I can make VY2 cute since he doesn't have a set design but his voice just demands a "cool" look to me XP)

And yeah, there are a ton of female voice banks out @_@ but hey, what sells sells and keeps businesses in business so they can, eventually (hopefully), make some males. Or for this fanclub topic, continue working on VY2 V3 <3

Thanks for the kind words about my SoundCloud tracks! Now I just need to learn to make videos and upload them to YouTube. I hear it's surprisingly easy, and apparently most computers come with preloaded software that more than adequately does the job. (Also, now you see why it was important for me to become able to draw at least the Vocaloids that I actually own.)

It sure is hard to keep this on topic. I think we've already listed the major VY2 songs, VY2 fanart is easily searchable on deviantART and elsewhere, and I don't think it's even possible to buy VY2 V2 any longer. I check the Vocaloid 3 Store every day in case I missed an announcement, plus get their tweets, plus lurk here all the time in case someone finds out first. I don't understand what the holdup is -- VY1 V3 has been out for something like two months.

However, I suppose it's better that BPlats not rush it, if it means supplying us with a good product. In the meantime, I'll keep working on my plans for when VY2 V3 is finally safely installed on my computer. I can at least get some accompaniment tracks done, but from what I hear, converting .VSQ files to .VSQX isn't exactly foolproof.

EDIT: Removed some babbling, and also wanted to remind everyone of this Niconico page, posted here somewhere previously. Someone has apparently taken EVERY AND I DO MEAN EVERY Vocaloid, and made them sing the theme song to a retro old-timey anime called Galaxy Express 999. I don't think they tuned the voices at all, just used them as they come right out of the box. Then they took all the V2 Vocaloids and imported them into V3, and recorded them again. Now they are adding all the V3 Vocaloids as they get released. So this includes all the Engloids and now the Espanoloids Bruno and Clara as well. All Miku and Kagamine Appends are there too, all GUMI Extends, the whole shooting match. And of course, you can compare VY2 V2 as he sounds in the V2 Editor, to how he sounds when imported into V3 (95% similar in my estimation).

Sorry, but that is the exact one I won't use my art for -- I'd have to draw two Primas and two Tonios, and that would just look dumb. I do, however, want to make a video for it -- I'll probably look for some (free?/public domain?/so I don't get sued?) photos of inside cathedrals, or famous paintings that look "heavenly," or something like that.

I need VY2 badly for another choral piece I want to do, this time with five parts, the "Sicut locutus est" from the Bach "Magnificat." If I get VY2, I will then have five Vocaloids, and I will use them all! I finished the orchestral accompaniment just now (there wasn't much to it really as it's almost a cappella), and have already reset the text in Japanese, since I think Prima's and Tonio's Japanese will be considerably less bad than Rin's, Len's, and VY2's Latin. (The text is straight out of the Bible, for which a more than adequate Japanese translation exists online.)

I decided my whole discourse on how buggy that program was, didn't fit in this conversation. The best advice I can give you about "The Sims 3" is, Don't Do It. "How can I keep this system/program running, in spite of all its flaws, with as lean a collection of hacks and custom content as possible, so that it plays the way I want it to?" That was the question that ate days and months of my life. Vocaloid is better. At least I wind up producing something.

Anyway, I figure I'm safe at least until "The Sims 4" comes out!

I kind of thought the same thing, in fact I'd say the same thing about Len's standard voice bank (didn't really listen to the Appends carefully, still sometimes have trouble telling Append Cold from Append Serious anyway). I wonder how much VY2 V3 will differ from VY2 V2 ... but that, of course, is the $64000 question.

I forgot to mention that they recorded most of the adult men in both octaves -- certainly VY2, Kiyoteru, and Bruno, and KAITO V1 I think. I hope they didn't do it to Gakupo or Big Al as that would be horrifying. Also, listen carefully to either of Bruno's tracks, when he gets to the word 無限 mugen "infinite." If he managed to hide until that moment that he was an Espanoloid singing Japanese, he could hide it no longer!

Cold has a bit more "edge" to it then serious...though the way some people tune Len, its really hard to tell D= and that question is a big one indeed.

Ah, so thats what they did *shudders* I prefer them deeper ( except Len, he's the only one I don't mind higher pitched.) And Bruno has good japanese pronunciation? C= And now I'm curious to find some ( at least decent) songs with VY2 singing in English...

... only I'll end it loud rather than soft. Nice tempo though, people usually perform this too fast. Don't watch their facial expressions or you'll die laughing! Bet you didn't know people got so animated performing Bach! (I can excuse the conductor's expression at the end because what happens next is super loud.)

VY2's part will be what the really tall man is singing as he'll be the tenor and Tonio the bass for sure. For soprano I / soprano II / alto I'm leaning towards Prima / Rin / Len, but I might try Rin / Len / Prima also.

It would be easier in TS3 as hair, clothing, and accessories are all recolorable in-game ... would someone please shoot me already? /not shot for once

It was acceptable until that word mugen. You'll notice it for sure! Hint: How is "ge" pronounced in Japanese? How is it (depending on dialect) pronounced in Spanish?
