8#Prince has recently set up a new home page, separate from Plug::8 (his label).
And Plug::8 shows this!
Posted Image

He calls it his 'debut album', which is puzzling since only one or two of the songs listed are new as far as I know, but they are all 'greatest hits'.
It might be because it's published by Sony Music Entertainment, rather than independently by his Plug::8 label... which would thus be his first album published by a larger entity.
That might not necessarilly be a good thing if he's signed on with them...we know how zealous Sony can be

Available in both limited and regular editions, both including a fifteen-song audio CD and DVD containing music videos (likely MMDs).
The limited edition includes illustrations from three of the artists associated with 8#Prince thus far; TNSK (whiteout and from the looks of it, this cover) and saitom (xxxx the ripper's cover) of Chroma of Wall, and yuna (illustrated for KOOL).

Available on CDJ:
http://www.cdjapan.c...l?KEY=MHCL-2015 - Limited
http://www.cdjapan.c...l?KEY=MHCL-2018 - Regular

Amazon:
http://www.amazon.co...p_D5M3ob1X4962R - Limited

Also perhaps of note is this;

In spite of the familiar cover and name, it appears to be similar to electric love in nature - a re-release album of many popular songs and includes a DVD, though its tracklist is a bit smaller compared to electric love.

Free with Hatsune Miku - nice!

And it may be remastered works, like how in XXXX The Ripper (which is also the same cover that Sweet Devil uses, weird?) Sweet Devil sounds so much different.

But the version of Sweet Devil in ×××× the ripper is a remix.

It's entirely possible this album contains all remixes, but looking at the current tracklistings on both Amazon and CDJapan, they appear to all be the originals.

If they doesn't put Electric Love MMDPV from WakamuraP in it, they will be in for some serious bitching from me.

Seriously, that is WakamuraP and 8#Prince collaboration at their best.

Yea, I was pretty confused by this "debut" album. But I guess if he has Sony to back this album, it marks his entrance into the big boys' playground.
Either way, pretty excited for the release (mostly for the new songs)xD

Anyone know who the illustrator is for his new site/album? I greatly enjoy the artwork.

Well... his site now has a microsite for the album which calls it his "first mejor [sic] album" (heh typo). And it's his first with Sony, so... yeah. Probably that's why.

Looks like TNSK to me.

It's been clearly stated already that Free is a Miku version. I loooove this crossfade video~

And I was thinking to myself! KOOL sounds resynthesized, I think I'll like it~

Getting even itchier for my album to ship now...

Oh god I keep getting AVTechNO!'s Free mixed up with his >__> I don't even know why I know they're different people don't have to point out the differences for me

Anyway, that was probably the most busiest crossfade I've ever seen. Not that it's bad, but he really did try to put a lot of effort into promoting this, getting a short PV (if not already released PV) into this.

I'm still sort of disappointed that there are only two new songs, but as long as they're good I won't mind (quality over quanity!). Judging from the crossfade they sound alright - is there a possible two new wakamura videos in the works for "LOVE IS OVER" and "twilight"? Anyways, I'm looking forward to the remastered "Keep Only One Love" seeing how it's one of my top ten 8#Prince songs, not to mention it was the song that got me listening to 8#Prince's music. The crossfade looks fantastic and very professional, and the art is gorgeous. I'm sort of wondering why 8#Prince decided to make a Miku version of "Free" though.

He has much more promotional going on this time, yeah. I'd say though it's most likely due to the facts that it's his first "major" album and backed by Sony, thus having much more advertising resources available of the giant available.

Taggleburr has the album uploaded already, and I can say this; all the tracks, if not almost all, sound remastered or modified in some way.

For instance, whiteout seems to have a percussion line removed, one of the 'bright' synths removed and the digital synth that is present from start to end emphasized more throughout the body of the song.

Also, all songs seem to have less processing on their respective vocal tracks; mainly much less reverb/echo if there is any at all. Some sound retuned and resynthesized altogether.

エレクトリック・ラブ sounds more like the DIVA edit, too.

Whether you prefer the new versions or otherwise, they are still all great songs, and the fact that they are different justifies this album a bit more even if you have the original ones.

On the other hand, of the new tracks; twilight is just wonderful. It's definitely going on my sleepy playlist. It reminds me of Ai Boto (アイボト), and another of my absolute favorites from 8#Prince, Dear. It's just got a soothing quality to it. I'm wondering if it's an Append configuration... Wish it was longer...

Overall, definitely worth the money, waiting eagerly for my copy to arrive so I can get some FLACs.

After listening through the album I agree with you that all the songs have been remastered/modified slightly, which is a nice touch. "twilight" is great! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, because from what I heard in the crossfade I wasn't liking Miku's voice that much. But now that I've listened to the full song I really like her voice and the rest of the song. "LOVE IS OVER" is nice too. I wasn't really expecting that little bit of dubstep but I enjoyed it, even though I'm not a huge fan of the genre.

Ahh I wish I could buy it! From what I've seen the CD booklet looks very sleek and cool, I would love to look at it.

Mine popped in early!
Shiny, so much shiny.

The Limited Edition booklet is bigger than I expected.
Spoiler

It's really all just larger and higher quality prints of the same artwork you find in the in-CD-case lyrics booklet, but unimpeded by said lyrics and includes captioning and some commentary by 8#Prince and q*Left.

Interestingly, it feels like Sony kinda went all out on printing this, even the album case feels a bit more luxurious than normal. On the other hand, I'm curious why they wouldn't use their own Blu-spec to print it.
The slip case and album frame makes for a nice display object, which could do nicely for decorating a shelf.

Anyhow I've scanned said CD booklet, as for the illustration booklet, I might get around to that.
I'm really sadded that there's no artwork of that lovely whiteout design Miku though. You know, the one on the cover of Whiteout.

This album is just full of awesome. It sounds like some of the songs have been remastered since their original release, and its the little changes that really make the songs shine. The reflective cd booklet was a nice touch, and it is full of colorful artwork. The DVD is all full length PV's. I love how the nonstop mix has video clips of all the songs (even if some of the songs don't have PVs). All in all, I really really love it and I'm so happy I bought it.
