AH Software's wikipedia page is also relevant.

AH Software is their own company, ROCK and everyone else, you're all kind of derailing the subject from the point of it (Being WEATHEROID). Please try to keep it on subject.

What we know; it's some weather related thing, most likely riding off of Vocaloid fandom and Vocaloid hype.
-No where does it state it's a Vocaloid or Voiceroid
-It does not state anywhere that any current vocaloid producing company has any part in it's production.

I should know better to argue with someone who can't even write properly, but...

That's like saying that Microsoft owns Bethesda (or any company that's ever released a game on windows/xbox).

AHS is not owned by Yamaha. AHS is it's own company, Yamaha simply gave them a license to sell products that run on the vocaloid engine.

I assumed it was like one of those robo-callers, but instead of trying to sell stuff, it read the weather instead. Not necessarily vocaloid or voiceroid, but something vocal-synth related. But I guess we don't even know that for sure.

Why is no one mentioning the rainboots? Am I the only one that noticed that? I want a vocalsynth with rainboots, dammit.

AHS has nothing to do with it.
They own and developed voiceroid.
AHS is not part of Yamaha. AHS is part of AHS.
Now let's go back to what we know about Weatheroid

It is a robot and chances that this is a synthesizer is big, other way it wouldn't have stated that Miss *name* is her voice provider. It could be that she's going to be used as a seiyuu but she could be a simple voicer as well. So she's marketed as a robot anyway.
At any rate, I think NicoNico will use her to broadcast the weather news. And I believe it will be something exclusive to NicoNico. It would be a nice idea if she were a voiceroid, just saying.

Her design is supposed to be released today! Tecnically yesterday since it was in Japan... does anyone know where it would be found? I'm having trouble locating it.

Anyway, ZEKE AI, I like the first entry you posted, but the second one is too rainbow. In fact I hate rainbow coloured characters (which makes me wonder why everytime someone draws one, it's at the home page of deviantART..)

It's the brown hair, it doesn't evn go with the rest of the outfit, similar to some UTAUs, brown hair and purple/black/white clothes. I know she's standing to the side but she doesn't seem to have a crotch for the pose she's pulling.

Please let it not be the first one.

Third one is complicated, but best imo. It doesn't even need anyone to redraw it!

Also the "related tags" thing, isn't that generated by how many other common tags there are along with the tag that shows the entries? A lot of people could've mistaken it as a Vocaloid

Remember that most viewed or liked =/= most likely chosen, like with the Chineseloid contest. IIRC the winning image did not receive as much votes/popularity than some other ones so it's not much to worry about.

As for the tag thing: aren't NND tags usually user-generated?

I like the second one. It's beautiful, and mature. I could totally see that design as a (overdressed) weather anchor.
