It kind of seems like VocaloidOtaku has it's tiny community of UTAU fans, not as many as UTAforum, but still a pretty respectable amount.

So why don't we band together to make an UTAU that could stand out from the others, like the VIPPERs?

Anyone can join in, even if you think you can't be of use, you can be! Thinkers, artists, mixers, promoters, and regular fans are all welcomed!

1/16/2012 - It's decided that Marie and Callum will sing in Japanese and English, at the very least.
1/16/2012 - The judges for the voice auditions are nominated.
1/17/2012 - Organization name decided.
1/18/2012 - Callum gets his fire and dragon motifs.
1/18/2012 - Everyone pretty much settles on asparagus's design for Marie.
1/19/2012 - The Callum design that would (eventually) win is posted for the first time. Everyone pretty much settles on it.
1/19/2012 - The design deadline is moved to 2/8/12 to facilitate advertisement for the auditions.

2/8/2012 - All together, 20 Marie and 9 Callum designs were submitted for the design contest.
2/9/2012 - Design polls were opened.
2/13/2012 - Polls were closed and results were announced. In a rather surprising turnaround, Niekaori's design won for Marie. Somewhat less surprisingly, Porifra's design won for Callum.
2/13/2012 - Bios for Marie and Callum were written round-robin style.
2/20/2012 - Voicers announced. Azuru was chosen for Callum's voice and Yuka Kazami was chosen for Marie's voice.
2/23/2012 - We use Ritsu's reclist and Prince Syo's (generously donated!) reclist.

I've always wanted to see a group project UTAU take off like the VIPPERs, maybe it wouldn't become as popular but it'd sure as heck be fun to work on :>

Most of the recent VIPPERs past Ritsu I think also parody real-world events in a way, like Ritsu's 25 ton weight, love of Korea and missile-boobs was commentary on North Korea's nuclear arms program (from what I've heard). Would ours do something like that?

global warming isnt real. studies show in the last 3 years, the earth actually got colder. its now called climate change

Since we're primarily an English community, I think we should have the voicer record a CVVC list. I'm pretty handy with UTAU, so maybe I could make a new list with like, words. :0

Yeah! Like, I only know English Vocaloid phonemes, so bear with me XD;

You would record you singing a word, for example, 'doing'. The phonetics in this word (Vocaloid-wise) are: dh u: I N.

You could rip the recordings:
dh u:
u: I
I N.

Or if you wanna do triphones:

dh u: I
u: I N

It would end up a LOT of words, but it'd be a pretty efficient list.
