-Opposite Infinity-

Today was an ordinary day on the not-so ordinary Tara city. A city filled with exotic relics from the past, a small city separated from the rest of the world, popular for its many hot springs, great fashion sense and of course it's great university.
Tara U, located at the very edge of the city was the pinnacle of the city's landmarks, covering enough ground to fit a few large stadiums and teaching a variety of classes and activities, even if they all pointed towards one main profession, Archeology.

Due to the city's location as it was built right beneath the large ruins of a long lost civilization this made the best spot for such a university.
Archeological expeditions were a daily thing and digging spots littered most sectors of the city and its outskirts.
It's the 16th of November and the climate is getting colder and colder as it is usual around this time of the year, and this is were our story takes place as we follow the lives of Hitomi and Tenrei, two freshman students of Tera academy as they discovered more about the city causing their lives to take a radical turn towards the unknown.

Tenrei yawned as she walked out of her dorm room and into the path to the university, she still had to get used to her new life style but everyday was filled with pleasant surprises and interesting people.
The sun shun brightly abode in the deep blue sky and only a couple clouds were visible, the birds seemed lively regardless of the cold as they chirped along the trees chick were now rid of their leaves leaving their branches to greet the cold winter winds.

"I know I live close to campus since I live in the dorms... but..."
she looked up ahead seeing other students walking towards the large gates of the impressive structure she called Tara U.
Surely the sight of this people doing the same as her made her feel common and unimportant, walking was also slightly tiring and not to her liking but it was an annoyance she was willing to endure if she was allowed to study the carrear she wanted in the best Archeology University of the continent.
"I hope today's expeditions turns out well... if I could only find something of value that would put me ahead of the class once again... I have to concentrate today...
"

Smiling and willing to try her utmost best, the young lady by the name of Tenrei walked inside the university, going straight to the site where her class was already gathering to go out on a expedition.

Late yet again. Hitomi sifted through the papers and reports scattered across her bedspread. Some what rushing her pace, though the young woman wasn't normally one to keep with the times. The bright sun from outside made her papers glow with a soft ivory light, that practically illuminated the whole dorm room. Her friends always thought she was messy and unorganized, but that was just how she functioned. Hitomi has tried organization, but she felt it was just a waste of time trying to find the 'right place' for everything.

Finally, she found the papers she needed, and went to gathering the rest of her equipment. Today was another day where the whole class would set out to discover. These were Hitomi's favorite days, exploring and discovering new artifacts from the ancient ruins in which the campus sat upon so comfortably. It was the perfect spot for an Archeologist's University. It was more than digging in the dirt to Hitomi, but it was the hopes of finding something great. Something worth boasting about so she could become recognized for something other than being the messiest kid in class. That hope would never die for Hitomi.

With a confident smile on her face, Hitomi jogged out of her dorm and went to where the whole class had gathered for the days work. The crisp, cold air hitting the girl's face was refreshing, and the sounds of nature around her gave a sense of calmness, despite being in a city. Although Tara wasn't exactly the most industrious city to begin with. They had no need for the factories that plagued the atmosphere, or those massive two-hundred story office buildings that took up so much space. No, Tara imported most of their industrial supplies, and offices were simple two story establishments. But with all the artifacts Tara sends to foreign museums, the city is practically rich, enjoying the greatest levels of prosperity. Hitomi was glad to be a contributing factor in that prosperity, and just thinking about it made her excited!

Fame wasn't everything to Hitomi, however, as not only did she enjoy what she did, she also had great friends around her. Despite a few people who joked about her, she was a very likable girl. As she walked towards the group of students, she quickly spotted one of her best friends, Tenrei, almost the exact opposite of Hitomi. She was clean, organized, and even rich. Although the two of them did have an interesting first-encounter, they soon became one of the oddest pair of kids in the class. The messiest class girl friends with one of the richest kids in Tara, who would have thought? Still, both of them were quite a bit competitive, both having the same goal of rising to the top with a discovery in hand. But it was a friendly fun type of race, at least before it happens, anyway. None-the-less, Hitomi waved softly at Tenrei with a friendly smile, now failing to watch where she was walking, and on the verge of colliding with a pole.

Tenrei saw her friend approaching from afar and waved back at her with a smile, but then she noticed she was walking straight to a pole.
Having no time to think or anything else or rush to her help Tenrei decided to warn her, even if shouting wasn't her style if it would pain on her friend she would gladly do it.
"Be careful Hitomi! up ahead." She warned her waving her hands just encase she couldn't hear her from where she was.

The teacher was just arriving and greeted the group, finding Tenrei's strange gestures a little unsettling, but then he noticed Hitomi approaching and quickly understood what was going on.
