Yes i'm actually curious if there's other programs like UTAU D:
i know garageband (<~ i don't use that since that's mac only right?)
+ FL studio (<~ I have that but i don't know how to use it well enough xD;; )

But yeah...any suggestions?
and i'm not talking about programs you can use for recording
You'll waste more than 30 seconds of your life if you look at this signature so don't bother :D

Well, I know that someone on Nico is making a Momone Momo-based Vocaloid type engine, but it's not out yet. ;;

You can do vocals in Reason 4, too. ((Works the same way as GarageBand))

Melody Assistant has the Virtual Singer feature. And you can, in fact, make your own voicebanks with it.
xD It's a commercial software, but the shareware version is actually pretty reasonable. It never expires, but you just can't use it for very long stints without closing and restarting.

Probably worth mentioning though that their layout is more sheet music based. But it can import midis, too, so it should be fine. o3o

And there's something called "Sinsy(s)" But if you look it up you'll just get confused.
|: No idea what it is. And it has too much vibrato in all the demos.

XD Yeah, it's pretty fun. I already transferred Hokuro and Seiji over to it. =w= It can sound kinda slurry at times, though XD;; But it handles vocals and pitches MUCH differently, actually a lot better, I think.

Sounds interesting, even though, yes, I'll probably be confused. XDD

No but it is possibly to create a synthesized voice using audacity. By recording sounds and making words in audacity, you can change the pitch and or loudness or speed (by changing tempo) of certain sounds to make it sound like singing. I know this worked because I made one named Yona.

Pretty sure that's frowned upon in Vocaloid fandom, unless the original recording belongs to you.

I'm not so sure about that. I've seen plenty of people doing it on Nico, even (and especially) with celebrities.

Yes, I believe they're called "manual vocaloids"

This is more frowned upon in the overseas fandom, though people still do it. Mostly it's that you can't release the banks or you might get in trouble (Like how people make google translate UTAU but can't release them because of copyright)

You see it on Nico a lot, though I don't think most of them release the samples/banks they used either.
