Synopsis:

26 years ago, in a third-year classroom of a middle school, there was a student named Misaki. As an honors student who was also good at sports, the charming girl was popular with her classmates. When she suddenly died, her classmates decided to carry on as if she was still alive until graduation. Then, in the spring of 1998, a boy named Sakakibara Kouichi transfers to that classroom, and he grows suspicious of the fearful atmosphere in that classroom. In particular, there is a beautiful, aloof girl named Mei Misaki who wears an eyepatch and is always alone drawing pictures.

It's airing atm, it will have 12 episodes and it's made by P.A.Works. Genres are Mystery, Drama, Horror and School.

Personally, I like it very much. Art is beautiful and the music creates just the right mood~ I also like the main characters, the girl with eyepatch, Misaki, is just hnnnnnggg. So? Have you watched? Do you like it? You can share your opinions \o/

Its a bit slow and reminds me of Shiki's slow start, but it is building suspense which is fine with me.

And the music friggin rocks.

Shiki was not as suspending as this one, and of course you can't compare with Higurashi. But Shiki was almost masterpiece. Its length was slightly too long (progress of content + content / episode). Has several stunning BGM.

LOL now back to Another. Just watched 3 episodes. The suspense is really nice (don't compare...don't compare...if you keep comparing, you will never be a happy person). I want to watch episode 444444444444444!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I don't want to read manga to find out more)

If you like suspense, you should watch another. I mean, watch this anime.

Ah I love this anime, I've watched about 6 episodes so far and the suspence is killing me! >.<
Really like the story and the mood/feel it gives off, can't wait to see the next episode. Episode 6's ending really has me wondering what'll happen next.

In all honesty, I already know who is the extra person since it's given away fairly early in the series by the hints provided by the characters. I want to see how all the characters will react after this episode, seeing how their countermesures failed in a very bloody way.
Also, keep track of what the old teacher in the library says, some of his stuff actually can be quite amusing to figure out.

I just found this anime, and I love it. I especially love the bizarre ways that people die.

I personally think that if you are able to run down some stairs with your umbrella and manage to trip and fall in a way that you impale yourself in the throat with it, you deserve some type of reward. Seriously.

i love this anime, normally mystery type animes make me want to attack someone, but i just love another

oh yes the deaths, so intresting, somone gets a darwin award in that show for sure

Reason i ask is because I didnt see that death coming, I mean the curse dosn't go past the town right? So why did the guy die by the boat's prapelers?

The amount of deaths in that episode is insane. I also love how there is a fire in the dining hall, yet no one seems to be panicking and the fire isn't spreading at all. Besides the major creepiness of all of it, I find it rather hilarious how everything is going down hill at once. Though it's probably not true, my bet is that the dead student is asthma boy.
