I know it was announced that Vocaloid3 would have a 'Classic' mode that would allow for more unrealistic results, but I've yet to find it. So is it maybe coming in a later update or is it just that I'm an idiot and can't find it?

Well it was announced that Vocaloid3 would have a "Classic mode", that made the synthesis results sound less realistic. I was curious about it but I haven't been able to find it.

^ Yea. It was talked about a LOOOONG time ago. About a week or two before V3 was even released.
One day I shall have an amazing signature. This is not the day.

Can't say I've ever heard of it. Was it supposed to be like V2 but still in V3?

I know what they mean but I don't have the V3 engine to check it out. You should be able to switch Vocaloid 3 to the Vocaloid 2 style of workings somehow. It was designed for those who like how Vocaloid 2 sounded but have Vocaloid 3.
Youtube poster 1; what does the [/] do?

Youtube poster 2; I'm guessing that it breaks the word in half.

I looked around my copy of V3 and didn't see anything like that. There was an option to use control parameters like in V2 though.

Anyway, yeah. Didn't think it'd be there as it seems like a rather useless function anyway.

I was looking around in the manual for it a few days ago but I didn't really think it'd be there. I was hoping it just wasn't there in the tiny version, but I guess not. What a shame...

So they scrapped the idea? Aww. I think it would've been fun to play around with. But I guess you're right, it is a little useless. XD

Well, you can have both Vocaloid3 and 2 open at the same time, so if you prefer the Vocaloid2's in Vocaloid2 version, than stick back to that (assuming you wanted Vocaloid2's, that is currently impossible for Vocaloid3's but it's a nice thought. I hope it wasn't scrapped).

I think you mean that you can draw parameters like you could in V2.
If this is so, it's under Settings > Preferences > Control Parameters > Check / uncheck box where it says Draw Control Params like V2

I'm sure that drawing parameters like V2 doesn't qualify as the same thing as "Classic" mode. :I

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
This helps a lot.

Yep, I haven't seen any signs of a classic version, sorry!
