Hey guys, I just noticed that my post count on my profile and my post count on the forums is different. Is this supposed to happen, or is it just counting some in one place and not the other?

It's supposed to happen.
The one next to the posts doesn't count TBL and forum games posts.

This is normal. The post count in your profile is the total number of posts you've achieved, and it includes those such as posts in the BL, Forum Games, etc.

The one shown around the main part of the forums, on the other hand, is your posts in places which contribute to said post count, such as places which aren't Forum Games and the BL. Like News, General Discussion, etc.

It seems that the post counter on your profile counts all the posts you have made, but the post counter on the forums does not count posts made in Forum Games and the BL.

edit: It also seems that Cluemily and Rooxi managed to post before me.

This is the post count statistic in my profile page.

(Profile page) Active Posts:2,694
(Thread page) Posts: 992

And my question is, regardless how I add or subtract, I can't get the figure 2694 or 992.

Can someone help me with my maths?

I'm just curious though, so please ignore this at your convenience :D

There are some things that could make your post count inaccurate.
Post count does not decrease, even if your topics are deleted, or posts inside of them by extension. In addition, people who migrated from the old forums had their post counts summed, so their remaining posts are in the old forum. There might be another reason or two that I don't remember now.
