Well, some of the parts are obviously Japanese with a heavy accent. I'm sure you got that part. In the comments 'Indian' keeps popping up, although i don't know if it's Hindi or something else.

I don't think it's indonesian because of the accent

So my guess it's probably filipino or malaysian

Not Indonesian. I'm one and I don't recognize a single word of that song. It might be one of the bazillion regional languages we have, though, and it's definitely not Javanese.

I think it might be Thai based on the outfit. I dunno.

when I copy the lyrics below (from my previous link) to google translate again, it says Indonesian (but I won't believe you again translate-san lol)

"Har Din Toom Bataaké Ho Apné Jeevan Ké Bhéd"

When I google translate other lines,

"Har Pul Aatee Hu(n) Tumharé Paas" = Malay

"Toom Jo Dekhaaté Ho Paud(n) Ko Saa(n)s Lété Hooé" = Filipino

Given the lyric has japanese in it and the song title has the phrase "Of Asia" in it. My best guess = the song has multi languages in it. Now we have to wait for expert to come in coz translate-san is uselss LOL

EDIT

not pretty sure but it seems I like this song XD

a french thread discuss about the same thing we're discussing, with no answer, haha.

hmmm...it couldn't be this hard to identify the language, even for so many people. The possible reason might be: heavy languages crossover in lyrics

Hey, Ms/Mr Translator, come in already :3

Were there only Khmer and japanese in the lyrics? Coz' there were two sites (french & japanese sites) provided a similar comment that suggested the lyric has languages mixture included chinese & etc. Google translate doesn't include Khmer and I can't find a good Khmer translating site. So you are everything I can rely, Sypher m(_ _)m

& thanks again :3

Lol, Ofasia is actually the name of the "band". The song is called Sate San. I do not know if they did any other songs because this is the only one I can find of them. It was one of the songs broadcasted in greek tv as "commercial" between the eyecatches of anime and cartoons about 12 years ago.

Imagine if the language crossover is the answer, like gathering many Asian languages and making them into a song xD. Nice idea, but the accent may not be best for some parts

Also Khmer? Hmmmm haven't thought of that possibility. *googles for more info
