It is the day before Halloween,and a pair of foolish twins decided to dabble in satanic rituals.However,they botch up the ritual and set loose a legion of ferocious and man-despising demons.Now,all the townspeople must fight for their lives against the demonic onslaught. Few will survive the night.Many will perish.The night is the time allotted for survival.If they can survive the night,they will live to see another day.It is time for the crucifixion.

Rin Kagamine ran through empty alleyways,breathing heavily.Feet pounding the cement,she was literally fleeing for her life.The blond girl was drenched in blood.She had narrowly fled from the monster that had killed her twin.Len was dead,and it was all her fault. Rin ran and ran,hearing the sounds of her pursuer gain ground on her.She screamed when a razor-sharp claw tore her leg open.Blood poured out,but she kept running onward.She knew that to stop now was to embrace death. Tears fell down the injured girl's face as she fled,flagging strength beginning to fail her. She stumbled and fell. She was outside of her best friend's backyard.She closed her eyes,teeth gritted. Waiting for death,inevitable and cruel.It came slowly.
The demon swooped down beside her and grabbed her by the hair,lifting her up painfully.She didn't move,but remained limp in it's grasp. A gray claw found it's way into her tender stomach,searching for her vital organs.Seeking out her lovely heart.Rin Kagamine died alone,in a monster's arms.

*2 Hours earlier*

Rin Kagamine and Len Kagamine locked themselves in a dark room,wiping goat blood on the walls and floor.Rin had painted a pentagram on the floor with some chalk,and then cut her hand to summon the spirits with an offering of her own blood.Unbeknownst to her,she was not supposed to use her own blood.That was the mistake.And that was what doomed the entire city,and unleashed the legion of demonic creatures. Immediately upon completing the ritual,a demon master leered at them.Without a moment's warning,it leaned out,grabbed Len Kagamine and dug it's claws into the boy's eyes.He screamed and thrashed,trying futilely to escape from the iron grip. Rin screamed in horror as her brother was brutally murdered in front of her. With a sickeniing snap,the monster broke Len's back. He cried out and went limp. The demon sank it's teeth into his neck and lapped at the flow of blood. Jaws dripping with flesh,it looked at Rin and hissed gutturally. Demons began to appear,countless beasts,in all sizes and shapes. With a wave of the monster's arm,they all scurried in Rin's direction. She turned and ran.

Yuzuki was out alone, it was dark after all, and she adored the night time. But it wasn't long before she headed back home, carrying her shopping. On her way back she heard something coming from one of the alley ways she always passed through to get home. She turned into the alleyway, nearly losing her slip on shoes.
"Damn shoes!" She shouted at her foot. It was when she had her shoe back on that she saw what was ahead of her. Some black form, holding dear little Rin Kagamine by the hair. Yuzuki dropped her shopping out of shock. No time was taken for her to run back to her house (which she shared with Meiko) via another exit.

Yuzuki couldn't believe what she had just seen. 'Was that really Rin?!' she didn't have time to go back and check. A headache cursed itself on her as she ran through the dark streets. Her stomach forced itself up, she had to stop. Vomit came out of Yuzuki's mouth as she leaned over a fence.
"What...what was that thing?" she asked herself. It was only when she turned round she realized she had been followed by someone...or something.

"Yuzuki!" Her voice called out. Luka walked towards Yukari, concerned for her health as she watched her continue to vomit. "Yuzuki...what happened to you?" Luka asked, showing the motherly figure as she did normally. She could tell something was wrong with Yukari, she knew that Yukari wasn't a drinker: the complete opposite, a good girl.

"Something happened back there..." Yukari explained to Luka, "Little Rin..." Yukari wiped her mouth, then away from Luka, then back towards Luka. "Little Rin Kagamine was killed tonight" An emotionless tone swept through her voice.

Iroha Nekomura was walking home after having spent the day at her friend's house.She was walking over to her house,that she shared with Gumi and Tone Rion.The three girls were all very close friends,and Iroha had volunteered to go purchase their Halloween costumes from the local store.She had purchased a pirate costume for Rion,a carrot costume for Gumi,and a Hello Kitty costume for herself.It was rather dark now,so she was trying to go home quickly.As she walked along the dark path,she spotted Yuzuki Yukari and Luka Megurine. she was familiar with them,so she decided to go chat with them.

She waved and called out,"Hello,Luka! Hi,Yuzuki!"She noticed that Yuzuki seemed to be very sick,as she was vomiting."What's wrong with Yuzuki???"Iroha rushed over to the other women and looked at them in disbelief as she heard Yuzuki mumble that Rin Kagamine was dead.Rin Kagamine....she was a friend of Iroha's....how could she be dead? What was Yuzuki talking about? She was crazy. Iroha glared at Yuzuki and tried to hold back tears.

[Sena]

Luka turned round to Iroha, who had recently popped out of nowhere. Seeing as Yuzuki was sick one more time, she was unavailable to talk. "Well Yuzuki has no reason to lie..." She started, sounding slightly off put by the thought of poor Rin Kagamine's body lying motionless. Luka laid a hand on Yuzuki's back as she vomited up the last of it.

"It's true, Luka, you know the Alley I always walk through to get back to Meiko and mine's house!" She exclaimed, "I wouldn't lie about death! Or anything for that matter!" Yuzuki stood up straight again and looked at both of them, one after the other. "If you wish...I can take you there.." She said all of a sudden. What was she thinking?! Taking them all back there was a death wish, but she had to prove she isn't a liar.

Iroha nodded and waited for Yuzuki to lead them to the alleyway where Rin would allegedly be,dead as dust.She refused to believe it.So what if Yuzuki wasn't a liar? There was no way that Rin could be dead.She was so young and full of life. What reason would someone have for killing that sweet young girl? She had never hurt anyone in her life,so there was no possible way for this horrid thing to happen,especially the day before Halloween.

Iroha clutched her bag of costumes closer to her chest and began to let the tears fall.If Rin was dead,would anyone else be killed? Was she safe? Would her friends be safe? What was going to happen to everyone else if there was a serial killer in the city? Would he target young girls? Or would he be indiscriminate?

[Sena]

"Yuzuki...I believe you-I-uh-" Luka mumbled, not wanting to go. In a sense she was scared of how the body would be mangled. Blood seemed to scare Luka, ever since she was a child and she cut her finger, just the idea of blood scared her. "I'll, I'll wait here for you!"

Yuzuki looked at Luka.
"You're call..." She started, before looking away, "We'll be back soon, so don't run off or anything.." Yuzuki then looked back at Iroha, "You better be able to keep up." Yuzuki, not even waiting to see if Iroha would follow, ran off towards the alley way, her bunny hood flying behind in the wind. She was almost skating along the cold October flooring. 'What if I was wrong, what if Rin is alive?' But then something confirmed her story. She stopped running next to a drainage pipe. Flowing down from the alley way was a stream of cherry red blood. Rin's cherry red blood.

Iroha ran after Yuzuki,slightly upset that Luka chose to stay.She shrugged it off and ran after the older girl.Her long hair was swishing behind her as she ran.The air was cold,hitting her face harshly,but she kept running.She needed the proof that Rin Kagamine was indeed dead.She had to see it with her own eyes.Iroha hoped deep down that Yuzuki was lying about all this.She prayed that Rin was alive and well.That she was okay,and just played a cruel prank on them all.

Her hopes were dashed when they stopped near an alleyway that was absolutely streaming with cherry-red blood.Iroha got dizzy and clutched onto the drainage pipe.She gazed at the huge puddle of blood on the concrete.Was it really Rin's blood? Iroha swallowed and stepped around the wall.She walked through the puddle of blood,eyes glazed over from shock.

There she was.Rin Kagamine.One of the cutest girls in the neighborhood.She had been brutally disemboweled.Iroha gagged at the sight of her murdered friend.Rin was very clearly dead.Her face was tortured,and her hands resembled nothing more than mere scraps of flesh. Her legs had been viciously torn and shredded. Gore spilled from her gaping stomach wound. Her hair was messed up badly,from where her killer had grabbed her roughly.And it was her eyes that made Iroha the sickest.They were empty of any emotion,save a cruel resignation. Almost as if she had expected to die...

Iroha knelt beside the corpse and vomited roughly.This was worse than she had imagined.In a thousand year,she never would have imagined that anyone was capable of doing this to another human being.Iroha wept as she emptied her stomach into the thinning pool of blood and ice.
Then the thought struck her.If Rin was dead,then her twin had to be dead as well...Rin never left Len alone for any amount of time.

[Sena]

Yukari walked up to Rin's corpse and knelt beside her, closing Rin's eyes. She scanned down the body noticing she was missing fatal body parts. Her eyes were then drawn up, she noticed something dart across the alley way.
"Iroha...go back to Luka. Get her to walk you home." Yukari ordered gently laying a hand on the girls back. Without hesitation she ran forward and after the 'something' that had caught her eye. Maybe I could catch it off guard?

Her shoes were now covered in the blood from poor Rin, whatever did it to her wasn't human, it had taken her apart, literally, she was missing stomach contents and vital organs. Yukari couldn't think about that now, it was to late for her, but she knew this...'thing' was still out there. She slid out of the alley way and saw it again, it looked more human this time. Was it the same creature? It had stopped walking, now was her chance. As she got closer, it became apparent it was Len Kagamine. 'Surely...he-he wouldn't of been with Rin?'
"Len!" Yukari called out, standing at a distance. To her horror, it was Len. But not as she remembered her childhood crush. His eyes were...gone, and filled with an oozing black liquid, it seemed to just pour out, never ending. As she looked at the destroyed boy, she noticed he had a gaping hole in his stomach, and that his spine had been torn out and stuck in his back. He gave a creepy smile at Yukari as she watched in horror and terror of what she thought to of been Len.

"Move!" Neru screamed at Yukari, she dived and pushed Yukari out of the way. Neru, clothes and face covered in blood, checked Yukari up and down. She seemed to be okay. She gave a sigh of relief, but it was to early. The once Len Kagamine raised his hand and pointed at Yukari and Neru. Neru swallowed and stood up, grabbing Yukari's hand and dragging her to her feet. "We run, and don't look back" Neru told her, whispering. She was met by a nod from Yukari.

Iroha ran away to where they had left Luka.Her lungs hurt,but she didn't slow down.She didn't want to be outside any longer. Rin was dead...and so was Len.She could sense it in her heart.There was no way that Len could be alive,after whatever happened to Rin.She ran and ran,tears drying on her face.The city she had grown up in now seemed incredibly dangerous. She was so frightened.She just wanted to go home and stay in her bed. If I just go home,and lie in my bed...then go to sleep....and close my eyes....everything will be okay tomorrow.


Soune Taya was just leaving the hospital.He had needed a blood transfusion,and had been serviced by the nurses rather quickly.He was overjoyed at being able to leave so soon.He did not like being in hospitals,though he was fond of blood and the like.His monocle shone as he stepped out into the darkness of the October evening.He smirked when he spotted a familiar child eyeing him from the shadows. Ah,so Ryuto wanted to try and scare him? what a mischievous child he was. He called out jeeringly,You'll have to do better than that if you want to frighten me,Ryuto."

He started to approach the child when he heard a loud hissing.Taya furrowed his brow.Was that Ryuto? Why would he be hissing at him for? He had never done anything to the dinosaur-loving child,at least,nothing that he could recall.So why? He knelt down besides Ryuto and screamed once.Ryuto was clearly dead on his feet.

[Sena]

"Akita, if you've ever been brilliant, be brilliant now!" What laid before the two girls was a pointing deceased Len Kagamine. He tilted his head and looked behind him, not waiting to see what he was looking at, Yukari was almost instantly dragged off her feet by Neru, sprinting through countless alley ways, in desperate search for the one that led to an open area. "Neru...Luka is...Outside...Kaito's House....We have to.." Yukari explained, panting in between every two words.

"Don't worry Yukari, I know!" She explained, "I told her to move to your house, I passed her on the way up here!" Neru kept running at a very fast pace, nearly leaving Yukari behind, it was a good job she could keep up.

'But if Luka's moved...Iroha's going back to..!'

Iroha was running and running for what seemed like hours.She finally arrived at Kaito's house,where Luka had been standing.She wasn't there.Iroha screamed loudly,and she found that she couldn't stop screaming.It was too much for the young girl to take.Her mind was straining under the pressure of staying sane,given the past events.Images of how she had found Rin's body,and what had undoubtedly occurred to Len as well.Two of her closest friends were dead,brutally murdered by something or someone. And now,it might have gotten to Luka.

Taya backed away in revulsion and lightly kicked Ryuto over.The boy fell backwards with a slight thud and did not move an inch.It seemed that the boy was truly dead.Taya covered his mouth in shock.How had the boy died? He was perfectly healthy-looking. Nothing was wrong with him as far as the butler could see.He shrugged and went inside the store to inform them of the dead child outside.
"Hello.I just wanted to inform you that there is a child outside this store.Um,well the problem is...he's DEAD."

[Sena]

"Did you hear that?!" Yukari exclaimed, tearing away from Neru and heading in the direction of the scream. Yukari didn't care what happened to her, she needed to make sure whoever it was...was still alive.

Yukari tore away from Neru leaving her speechless. "First Miku tears away from me and winds up lit up like a christmas tree, Hell, think she may've burned me, and now Yukari leaves? I hope she doesn't end up the same way"

Yukari turned round several corners and witnessed the sight of Iroha screaming. 'Shit!'
"IROHA!" Yukari screamed at her, waving her hands to say 'follow me!'

Iroha was screaming and screaming loudly.She felt that if she stopped screaming she would die.Suddenly,she saw Yuzuki there,waving her hands at her and calling her name.Her friend's concern shattered her panic attack and she ran straight into Yuzuki's arms,crying copiously."Yuzuki,I'm so scared! Rin...and where is Len? Where did Luka go? I'm so scared...."

Taya noticed that all the people in the store looked at him as if he was crazy.He coughed and walked back outside.Ryuto's corpse was gone.He sputtered in utter disbelief.How did his body just vanish?Taya couldn't believe it. someone had to be playing a really messed up prank on him. He had seen Ryuto's body with his own two eyes. He rubbed his face and tried to think rationally.

Tei Sukone had been sneaking around the city for a long time now.She didn't know what exactly was going on,but she had caught wind of the demons.She didn't know where they came from,or what they wanted exactly,but she was glad they had disposed of Miku for her.Now she didn't have to do it herself. However,she also saw them when they had killed her beloved Len. She wept and swore that all the demons would die by her blade.

[Sena]

"Iroha, calm down, we have to keep calm" Yukari stepped back and put both hands on both of Iroha's shoulders. "Rin...is dead, Me and Neru just ran into Len ; something's wrong with him, he seems possessed..." She tried to keep the details low for the childs sake, "Luka is safe! She's at my house, so we need to move, now!" Yukari brushed Iroha's hair gently, almost a reasurance to say 'things are going to be okay'.

Iroha nodded and grabbed Yuzuki's hand.She could sense what Yuzuki wasn't telling her.Len was not okay.He had ended up even worse than Rin had.That was a sickening thought for the young girl. Even worse than Rin,after what she had seen of her friend,she hoped never to see what Len had been dealt.She walked alongside Yuzuki as they left for her house.She hoped that no more bad things would happen. Not to her,not to her friends,not to anyone in the city.
