No, I never noticed that nor cared because kawaii is severely overused by non japanese people and I cringe everytime I hear it.

And children's voices never stay exact. It's not unreasonable to think they used several little girls for Yuki's voice.

Not only that but if yo consider it takes about 4 hours (Gakupo's recording length) - 1 week (Kagamine Append package) to record a Vocaloid pack, its understandable.

And consider also that Gakupo had two recording sessions, 4 hours a piece so they had a pick of two different sets of samples to make his voicebanks from.

We're asking little kids to sit still throughout this... It would be fesiable to have more then one child to take over from the other when their attention gives up or they won't sing anymore or something. Their not professional singers like Gakt is, so it would have taken more then 4 hours I'm sure.

I'm ok with not knowing some of the Voice providers, and I think it's perfectly viable to market either a Vocaloid based on a specific seiyuu/singer, or an idea/character (these are obviously the ones that we mostly don't know the voice providers of, besides for Kiyoteru)

That being said I'd kill for a Nagi/Gazellepoid

Well, when Vocaloid was first getting started, they used singers right? My take was they didn't want people to use the singer's Vocaloid to replace their work. Like make covers with the Vocaloid that were better than the original, or listen to the Vocaloid instead of the real person or whatever. I think it was a career thing.

With Crypton using voice actors though, that became less of an issue, and I guess Gackt and Megumi were so well established they didn't think it would hurt them, or they saw that a Vocaloid wouldn't mess with the voice actor's success.

I believe he worked with YAMAHA. He's said to be a singer involved in early development of vocaloids. He once appeared in a Nico broadcast talked about his work and Kiyoteru. They even played a Kiyoteru song and he sang one or two notes from the song.
I've got one album of his. It's an acappella album released in 1999. He not only sang all the songs and harmony by himself but also (I believe) sampled his voice, changed its pitch and other parameters to make it possible to perform an acappella song live, all alone on stage. I don't know if it's anything related to the vocaloid technique, but one of the first vocaloid technicians, Hideki Matsutake, has worked with him on this sampling-adjusting thing. This performance can be seen here:

His voice is surely adorable, sadly only one solo album can be found, plus some short songs on nico. He's a member of a large acappella club in Japan, it might be the reason why AHS likes to tweet it when people does acapella covers with Kiyoteru.
