- The Grenadines-

The hazy Saturday morn covered the exquisite Ivory Mansion in a mystic, a gloomy atmosphere. The coldness of November air just lingering over the wide walls of such an estate, its winds sweeping the poplars and oaks in an elfish way. The day was certainly an effect of a small rain shower that will come about soon, but that simple fact did not anger anybody from the three siblings , nor did it interfere with the youngest's plans, who was currently sipping on warm tea,
"This day is lovely" she said, her eyes firmly locked on the barred windows that appeared to be haunted for its grayish tint. "Certainly" came the voice of the eldest, who was clearly being amused of how gloomy it seemed. "I could care less" was the reply of the careless blue-headed sibling, which automatically sent the youngest in laughs, "Honestly~! You guys never change~!" her fingers began to playfully toy with her bright scarlet hair. "Neither did you 'Rietta', your always that playful know-it-all" the blonde eldest chuckled as he watched Rietta throw a tiny fit within herself. "You two are still annoying, heck, I don't even know if 'Set' is a guy anymore!" the 2nd child started to glare daggers at the blond, who purposely stole one of his garments for reasons unknown. "Oh please 'G', I only did that for your sake~ I sold it on E-bay so everyone would know your a fan of stri-" a large, hard-bound German dictionary harshly hit Set's head, a small bump growing on it no sooner. "Speak of that again and I'll make sure the boulder by the Lingal's house will be the one to hit you first" G's growl intensified as he crumpled a the last bit of linen paper in their library. But the argument was settled as soon as Rietta's giggling voice echoed against the library walls, "You two should quit it, our guests are arriving soon, and I'd expect you to be on your best, after all..." her scarlet eyes flared with sheer delight and excitement, "We wouldn't want anyone on our tracks" the room was filled with low chuckles and grimly smiles, " Let the games begin~"

Nakamura just arrived at the Grenadine Living Room. It's pretty grand, with paintings everywhere. Nakamura never once sees something this grand, since he's been living on a slum after his traumatic accident that makes him amnesia. He brought his suitcase near the wall, put it down, and start to looks around. There seems to be another peoples too, but for today he ignores them. He checked again his belongings, along with his beloved gauntlet. All is here, that makes him relaxed, as he walk towards the couch to sit.




Brooke arrives earlier than everyone else, but decides to enter after one or two peoples get in. All his life, he's been gambling everywhere, even here. This is just another gamble, get in and get out with money, or get in and get out with another debt. Brooke puts his suitcase and his deck-case near the planter, and grabs one of the decks he brought. He starts shuffling his cards, so that he can kill his nervousness. Cards is his best friends, and he's been bringing it everywhere he goes, so the cards has become a part of his life. "Looks like the show hasn't started yet"

"Your father insisted we drive you there-"
"I'm sure I can drive myself, I'm a big girl now~" Felicity stepped towards the driver and ran her finger down the front of his shirt before whispering in his ear, "Now run along~". It had worked, the driver walked off towards his car. Felicity gave a smile and pushed her sunglasses down from her hair to her face and put her headphones on (Underneath her hat) and got in her own car and started driving to the Ivory Mansions owned by 'The Grenadines'.

It was roughly thirty minutes before she arrived, she was on time, maybe even early.
"Oh~ This place is my sorta place" Felicity exclaimed stepping out of her car, her heels touching the ground before anything else. Like the normal routine she took out some bubblegum and started chewing, a habit she couldn't drop.
"Let's see what these people want~" Felicity walked towards the enterance and went inside. It was quite a large building, but she had been told to go to the living room, and seeing as they were offering to make her dreams come true, she did exactly that.

Kei walked through the doors of the the Grenadines mansion and gasped. The mansion had been beautiful enough on the outside, which he had expected. Since, it was, after all, a mansion. But the inside was just incredible. He couldn't even describe it. It was like nothing he had ever seen. Kei walked further inside the mansion and headed to where he was suppose to go, the living room. A few people were already there but he decided to introduce himself later. First, he had to examine his surroundings. Kei looked around and was instantly in awe. This was the place that would make his dreams come true, he was excited.

Brooke keeps shuffling his cards, until he notice that one of the participant is just sitting there on the couch. "I guess i could kill sometimes by playing some games with him" Brooke mumbles, as he approach the guy "Hey, what's your name?" Brooke says, as he shuffles his cards again


Nakamura was just looking around in bored manner "When will it start?!? I'm bored just waiting here" Nakamura grumbles, as one of the participant approach him and asked his name "Me? I'm Nakamura Izumi, what about it?" Nakamura says as he glared at the man

"Whoa, chill down men, i'm not trying to kill you or anything, my name's Brooke Nevermore, nice to meetcha!" Brooke says "What do you want?" Nakamura replies with a cold voice "Wanna play a game?" Brooke says as he lift the card "Don't worry, it won't be a gambling game" Brooke says with a smile "Sure, i'm just getting bored anyway, but it wouldn't be fun if it's just the two of us" "No problem. HEY IF ANYONE WANNA PLAY SOME CARD GAMES, COME HERE! Brooke shouted

Kei heard someone shout behind him and snapped out of his trance. He had been observing the room so intently that he hadn't really noticed anything. Though, that was hard to say, seeming that nothing had happened anyway. It was a man's voice and he was saying something about cards? Kei didn't really know how to play cards. Wait...was there a game called cards? He thought not. It was actually what you did with the cards that made it a game. Kei walked over to the two by the couch with the playing cards. The only game he really knew how to play was go-fish, and that was when he was little...he probably didn't even remember the rules. But he doubted that they would actually play go-fish seeming that the three of them were not children but almost grown adults. "Card games?..." He was interested in what type of card games they were going to play. He probably wouldn't even join in, considering that he didn't know how to play. "I don't really know how to play any card games....but I would like to know what type of games that you are going to play!". Kei smiled at the two. He was a little embarrassed that he only knew how to play one type of card game. In which was a childhood game. He use to play this with his mother.

"Whoa dude! You really don't know any card games? Lemme guess, you've been living a complete honest live arent'cha?" Brooke laughed, since any 'good guy' type or the 'boy scout' type rarely plays any card, or even never "Ignore him" "Hey, whose sides are you on?" "Is it that fun to bug people?" "You're no fun" Brooke continues shuffling his cards "Well since we have a complete beginner here, let's play a game of blackjack!" Brooke exclaims, as he started to share the cards "Basically, you'll be racking up your cards sum until 21, if it more than that you're bust~ Just say hit me if you wanna add your cards, and no, not literally. Oh, Jack, Queen, and King counts as 10, and Aces counts as either 1 or 11, you decide whether it's 1 or 11. And if your cards contains a Jack, Queen, or king and an ace, it's blackjack. Simple enough, no?"

Kei was having some problems understanding the rules to the game. They weren't really that complicated and he thought that he had it down but he was focused on the statement before hand. An honest life? Kei wondered what that meant. The reason why he didn't know how to play any card games was because, well, he simply didn't have enough time. Ever since he had started working at his sisters restaurant he barely had time for anything. It was hard enough getting the days off to actually come here. Kei took one of the guys advice to ignore the other. Did they know each other? He thought so, because they fought like old friends. He was a little bothered by the fact that he didn't know either of their names. He was about to give them his name when one of the guys had finished explaining the rules and asked him if they were 'simple enough'. "Uhm...yea I think I got it" He smiled a little sheepishly. He had hoped he understood correctly. It wasn't that he was worried whether he was going to lose or not but he just didn't want to seem like a complete fool.

"Good! Let's start then. Oh and btw, i'm Brooke Nevermore, just call me Brooke, and this guy is Nakamura" Broke picke up his card, and just like he planned, it's blackjack. This is the method he's been using for a quite time, slips one card on your sleeve (either the JQK or Ace) and keeps shuffling until you see that the top card is either JQK or Ace, and the rest is easy "Yeah, yeah, i'm Nakamura Izumi, i hope i won't end up beating you, since you seems nice, not like this guy over here, who already got over-friendly even though it's first time meeting" Nakamura says, as he picked his own card. It's 19, a jack and a nine "Hey, whose sides are you on again? This is how i greet new people, so that we can quickly be friend! And btw, it's a blackjack~" Brooke shows his hand, which is really blackjack "Nah, you cheated" "What? No i don't!" Brooke puts on a natural angry expression "Yes you did, i only saw you put a card on your sides, so how did it become two?" Nakamura counters, he's already used to catching people's lies "Guh! You're well trained in seeing this, fine i'll restart the game" "I'm the one who'll do the shuffle" Nakamura quickly snatches the deck from Brooke, and shuffle it "Hey!" "Hush" Nakamura put the card in each sides, this time Nakamura got 13, a 5 and an 8. Meanwhile, Brooke got 2, two aces. "I'll start first, hit me" it's 10 "hit me" it's an 8, summing up a total 20 "I'll pass" "I'll draw too" it's a 6, summing up 19. Should i draw another one? Nakamura thought, but quickly put the thought away, he knew he's not that good at trusting his luck "I'll pass" "How bout you?" Brooke asked the new guy

Kei was confused. It seemed like they were just taking over. Not that he cared. He hadn't even planned on joining the game anyway. He had only come over to see what they were playing, he had come over to watch. He smiled at Nakamura, he seemed nice unlike Brooke who seemed to be cheating. Kei laughed. Even though they had said it was their first time meeting, it almost seemed like they were brothers. "My name is Kei Usui, please call me Kei". He looked at his cards and tried to think. Now what where the rules again? Apparently he had to get his cards to add up to 21. Right now he had a 6 and an 8. "Hit me..." He said uneasily. Playing cards was quite...uncomfortable. The card that he received was a 7. Kei stared at it...21? He decided to just put his cards down, he didn't know what he was doing.

"Btw, where are the host? It's pretty quiet here, and show cards time!" Brooke says, as he flipped his cards, revealing a total 20 "Don't ask me, i'm pretty bored here anyway" Nakamura says, as he flipped his cards too, revealing a total 19 "What do you think Kei? And how's your card?" Brooke asks Kei, as he looked around the living room

Kei didn't really know where the host was. Maybe they got stuck in traffic. No, that wouldn't work. Since, this was their mansion. Maybe they were waiting for something. Probably more people. "Their probably waiting for more people to show up". He looked around, there wasn't many people here anyway. He guessed that only about half the guests were here. How long would they be waiting? Kei turned over his cards a little reluctantly. He really didn't know what he was doing and was afraid that he had forgotten how to count. He was pretty sure that the cards read 6,7,and 8. Which in all equaled 21. What were the rules again?

"Whoa dude! You just win your first game!" Brooke says, surprised to see Kei's cards "More people to shows up? There's actually more?" Nakamura raised an eyebrow "Duh, did you read the invitation? It says that there's 20 participant, and there's still 4 here, including me you and Kei" "Well, how the hell did the host chooses anyway? Don't tell me it's like a lottery" "Beats me" "Oh well, let's play another game then" Nakamura says, as he collect the cards and share it again "Surprisingly, your method of passing time is pretty effective, i must say" "See?!? It's nice, but it'll be nicer if there's a bet here" Brooke says, as he suddenly realized something "OH RIGHT! Wait here guy" Brooke walks to his suit case, and takes out a tons of poker chips "We'll use this guys!" Brooke put the chips on the ground, and shared it equally, 100 chips each, Brooke is the black chips, Nakamura is the red chips, and Kei is the blue chips. "You actually bring this chips around?" "I'm a gambler! It's natural to bring this around" "A gambler? Well that's nice to see some devils here, that explains the cheating method" "I'll bet 2 chips" as Brooke puts his two chips on the middle "I've been called worse, well what's your past life?" Brooke says as he look at his cards, 16, 2 eights "I'll bet ten" as Nakamura puts ten chips "I'm a boxer, that's all that i remember, seems like i had an amnesia" Nakamura says as he look at his cards, blackjack "How 'bout you Kei?"

Kei sighs as they start another game, this time with poker chips. He doesn't exactly know how to use them. Though it does seem obvious that he is suppose to 'bet' these chips. What was he betting on? He didn't know. Apparently he had won the last game, he didn't know how, but he did. Kei knew that he wasn't very good at cards. He just stares at the chips. What am I...? He decides to brush this question off. Cards were confusing, and he really didn't want to complicate things anymore. He just leaves everything as is and stares at Brooke and Nakamura, while listening to their life stories. Then they go to him. Kei didn't exactly know what to say. He didn't really have a life story. But that made no sense, everyone had a life story. Kei began to go over his life in his head. And realized that his life story was kind of depressing. They probably didn't want to hear it. "Well...I...." Kei looks to the side and then back up, he smiles. "You wouldn't want to hear it!".

"Whoa, you have a kind dark past buddy? It's alright, mine is even darker" Brooke chuckles, true enough, his life is very dark, living in the gambler sums, gambling since he's 7, carrying debt everywhere he goes, there's only one light in Brooke's past, and it's his happy-go-lucky attitude, that makes him smile everywhere he goes. "Don't bug him, if he don't wanna talk, then don't make him talk, it just put some stress onto him" Nakamura says, his past isn't much brighter either, parents died from childbirth, living alone in solitude, taking up boxing, and until he accidentally killed his own step-father. But he's different than Brooke, he has an amnesia, so he wouldn't remember anything about it. "Hey, i bet your past is dark too eh Nakamura? Or can i call you Nake? Nakamura is just too long" Brooke smiles "Do i need to repeat it? I had an amnesia, i don't remember my past, and don't call me that, if Nakamura is too long, call me Izumi" "Why? And why did you have such a long name? This guys is Kei, and i'm Brooke, both is one syllables while yours is 4" "Got a problem with that?" "It twist my tongue! "Calls me Nax then!" Nakamura spurted, it's his old-nickname, since when he's living alone, he always got haunted by tax, that's why he's called Nax, Nakamura + Tax. "Nax dude? What the hell is that nickname?!?" "You either call me that or i'll stick to Nakamura" "Alright alright! Fine! And btw Kei, how much do you wanna bet? Just put how many chips you wanna bet on the middle, don't worry, it won't cost any money" Brooke asked Kei
