What the fuck is this? Forced euthanasia for the elderly in the Netherlands? This has to be the biggest amount of bullshit I have ever heard. My mother's worked with the elderly for quite some time and I'm a Dutchman so I can say with a 100 per cent certainty that this is a load of crap.
The Netherlands has chosen a "voluntary euthanasia" principle, which basically means that every terminally ill patient can decide for themselves whether or not they want the plug to be pulled. Doctors won't ever pull the plug because of budget costs. We're humans, not sick beasts.
Furthermore, the elderly fleeing the country because they're afraid that they might be killed in the hospital? Don't make me laugh. The Netherlands has been proven to have a health care system superior to that of the United States. Proof.
Yes, the government cuts are slowly destroying our health care system, but forced euthanasia has never been and will never be a standard procedure in the Netherlands.
So, discuss.
P.S. Lol at the "shocked and appalled" people actually taking his complete and utter nonsense as truth.

It's the same crap with vaccinations for children causing Down Syndrome or whatever in the states. Every country has one. But the people who matter in the world are usually smart enough to know better and the people who follow these stories (which truly are meant to induce panic or concern) are usually stupid. It's got something to do with free speech, so we gotta listen to their crap... ya-da, ya-da. It's a bit too early in the morning for me to make sense. These types of things are best ignored, because as you said they are a load of bull.

I don't know
These people succeed by creating panic among their listeners, so it's best not to promote it.
That's just my opinion, but the examples are all too real...

My bag of magical GIF images. Enjoy!
THESE SONGS KNOW ME. THAT'S SO SCARY.

Is there a penalty in America for excessive demonisation of whatever individual anywhere? Because that penalty should be given 17 million times(17 million = Population in the Netherlands)to this man and his campaign-fancy-pantses. Should treat them well... Paying their ethic debts instead of making false accusations and all that bullcrap...
Don't get me wrong. I'm not aiming at the complete USA or something. I'm not happy with what this specific man and his voters do. Who would ever vote for such a man...?
*sighs* Maybe I should have posted this in the SART...
PS: We're #17 on that list!!! WOOO! Our docs deserve a medal~<3

I have distinct loathing for all of the Republican candidates right now. But Gingrich still pisses me off more. He's stated that women in the military can't sit in a ditch for weeks like men can because they'll get infections. ANYONE who sits in a ditch for weeks will get infections! He wants to rant about gay marriage ruining the sanctity of marriage even though he's had three wives and most likely numerous affairs. Along with that, the psychopath wants to make a permanent U.S. moon base. A base... ON THE MOON..... THE EARTH IS GOING TO KILL US.
Although I'm glad Bachman dropped out. I was seventeen when I first heard her say that all gay teens should be put into camps to be reformed to be straight. As a bi-sexual, I started making plans to sneak onto a plane and get to the United Kingdom right away.
Look out England, here I coooomeee!!

...You wanted a discussion, you've got a debate.
alea jacta est...
Due to length, this post has been spoilered. Anyone may read, though take in mind who it was addressed too.
---------------------------------
addressed to Saurus
----------
addressed to Darius-X, much more as an address than an actual debate...
----------
addressed to diskyerrorz
-----
Understand that all this is said not in a spirit of animosity, but the spirit of debate.
Debates happen by first all parites deciding each other to be wrong and vocalizing on these opinions.
Saurus, Darius-X, and Diskyerrorz, you are all more than welcome to refute what I have said in the spirit of said debate.
All I ask is that any disagreements or negative feelings held be retained to here, and here alone.
Let's not ruin anyone's browsing experience, alright?

Fair enough, I'll step in.
America is no longer about liberty, it is about money and power. Our economy is falling, but the government teases us with small amounts of hope in order to keep us at bay. Really, all of our politicians are idiots in their own ways. Or to be more precise, genius at looking like they really are looking out for our country.
I agree with the Dutch completely. There's this middle aged lady at my cafe who's really into politics, she isn't afraid to tell me when she thinks I'm naive, and I tell her that she's just overlooking details or being stubborn. The barrier in age and "respect" is removed, we talk very intensely. Now she knows many of our politicians are idiots, but she has good things to say too. But when I finally decided that I support NONE of the politicians this year, I explained to her why I didn't support Obama. I told her the NDAA was one of the stupidest things I've ever heard of, and all she had to say was "well, yea, the military is all stupid."
Not that she represents all Americans, but she's one of the more patriotic people I've met and even she doesn't have an answer for some of our stupidity. We spend too much on the military, it's a fact. Even China went out of their way to say that publicly. I don't have the proof right here, if I need to go find an article or quote or video I will, but I'm hoping you can take my word for it. We are spending too much, and taking away from the hardworking citizens. Literally taking apart our rights, piece by piece.
The Dutch may be cocky as hell, I didn't really know. But I think they have all the right to be, our country's founding fathers have done full 360's in their graves at what we've become. I'd move to the Netherlands in a heartbeat, the future of this country is grim, I'm really hoping to get out before it's too late.
I think at its root it all went downhill when we took out the gold standard and decided to invade countries we had no right to invade.
I'm taking a more personal stance on this, as I didn't treat it like a debate from the beginning. Saurus asked for a discussion, and that's what I give. It's your choice to make it a debate, and we're free to ignore it or pursue it.

If you have read my post in a correct fashion, you might have noticed the fact that I didn't want to express harsh feelings towards all of the Americans. You have the Americans, with whom we get along... Then you have the Americans who were falsely informed.
They didn't get their facts right. They should have listened to a well-known phrase. "Before all else, be armed", is what the writer and political expert Niccoló Machiavelli has written. Those aforementioned arms were actually all the types of knowledge this chap, Santorum, needed to collect.
He may be a fellow American, but... The unspecified deity, a.k.a. God, always claimed that a human always should hold responsibility for his actions and endeavours. And you don't want to take the blame for all the nonsense Santorum says, do you? If you, as one blood, would take all the responsibility for your "peers", there would never be justice in any way.
What I actually want to indicate is that I do not intend to offend all of the Americans. So not what these guys, Santorum and co., did to all of the Dutchmen. I'm sorry; you claim to be the patriot that would stand for your people? Yet you don't want to stand for what bullshit Santorum has spilled?
~Darius-X~
PS: So... Obama lied, back then? He said that there were no better comrades than the Dutch. But... He said exactly the same to the Australians. Sometimes you can be too friendly.

But first, an announcement:
Rayden, on 26 February 2012 - 03:56 PM, said:
Debate, to my understanding, is the form of discussion when two or more parties disagree and attempt to assert their own respective opinions.
This, to me, is merely and simply an informal debate.
I intended not to provoke anyone nor insult anyone by choosing to poise my words as in the manner of the debate, I however realized that my words were highly controversial and therefore openly insinuated the manner of debate, therein by attempting to make aware to all that my intention was not to enforce my opinions upon others but merely to make them known, and was accepting of and expecting rebuttal to my words.
Oration is not one of my predominant skills, of course also so being the arts of Speech-craft (which means manipulation of words in general)
I was not intending to force the manner on anyone, if that is the way it was taken, I sincerely apologize to you all.

...did you know that Sexual Acts involving the Anus is illegal in most states, even between married couples?
No one quite gets how that works either.

Technically speaking, the clause only keeps the federal Government from taking a state government.
That's all.
It does not say that a Church can not have a political say (any religious group, that is), but only that they may only have as much say as the next guy.
...
What?
...Although, I do have to ask why you put up something from a well known Left-Wing Attack Dog.
I've been refraining from doing that with the Right.

also, on what you said about the percentages earlier (with the +100/-100), I'd dare to say part of the reason Canada is so high is because of our proximity and the fact that whatever the US does seems to end up effecting Canada in some way. However, that's just my opinion.
