What exactly is "Tiny" Vocaloid Editor?

So I saw on Wikipedia that Vocaloid 3 voicebanks only come with a "tiny" version of the full editor. What does this tiny version include and exclude of the actual editor?

Some functions on the V3 editor is disabled but I don't have the details of which functions are disabled.

Don't be fooled otherwise.

They've completely wrecked everything in V3 Editor and called it Tiny.

You can only use Undo/Redo once
You cannot add, delete or copy tracks
only stereo WAV
Limited length of song
no VST
no Input Gain Control
no Vocaloid Job Plugins
No V2 Library importer
only import WAV files
Open VSQs but it will be using restricted length
only 1 track. No dualets
No Resizing notes

So, taking the V3 editor. Tiny editor = Someone putting the V3 Full Editor, through a paper shredder, and putting remains through another paper shredder, and another. Then grabbing what hopeless remains are left, and tossing it into a Giant Furnace.

That's what you have left.

What's bad is they only sell it individually without a voice bank. If you want a voice bank it's extra!

Yeah, the cost of the V3 Editor is expensive.
I could purchase Two spanish vocaloids, at the price that they sell the V3 Software.

Tiny Editor is just a joke. but a terribly made joke. Not even funny. It's so crippled

It's just Yamaha's way of forcing every Producer to pitch in money for their software.

^ But think of if they didn't sell the V3 editor separately. You can add about 100 USD to the price of every VOCALOID and that's probably what we'd be paying.

[edit]
remember in V2 they didn't sell the editor separately. You paid for the editor every time you bought a VOCALOID whether you needed it or not. A good chunk of the V2's prices likely came from the editor itself.

The upside to having a proper editor bought separately is that buying additional V3 voicebanks is generally cheaper than buying several V2 voicebanks. It's up to you to decide whether or not it's a cash grab : P

EDIT: Ayu's got my bases covered already! so now my post is a bunch of lines

yaaaaay

Also Alesia I love your avatar XD Maybe I should switch mine out for a handsome fire hydrant....nah, Batwoman's cool.
YT Listing and Soundcloud (so that you may assess where I am musically), my vocaloid drawing/redesign thread (So that you can assess where I am, visual-artistically), I'm likely to have not updated either since 12/30/2012 and now you know what to expect from me 8 |

@Alesia, the idea is that its not usable so you'll give more of your money to them when you buy the full editor. Yamaha's not stupid.

Also in regards to the price of the V3 editor, I imagine it actually isn't worth near that much, 1) because Yamaha needs to make a profit from it and 2) they realized they'd be making less money off the editor itself since there'd be fewer "purchases" of it, so they upped the price to compensate. (I say "purchases" in quotes b/c in V2, you didn't really have a choice)

As long as it's a one time fee for a few years until Vocaloid 4 comes outs.

I guess it's pretty worth it considering all the New V3s being released/have been.

@woobeen, well, technically you don't have to, but have fun doing, well, nothing.

If the person/place/site/whatever you're buying the VOCALOID from has a return policy, you may wanna hold off on the full editor and play with the VOCALOID in the tiny editor just to make sure you actually like it and will use it.

If you have any V2 voice banks you can import them to the V3 editor.
