My apologies if this is in the wrong place, but it turns out their making Halyosy's song, Sakura no Ame, into a novel. Quote by Anime News Network.

Quote

The Mainichi Shimbun paper's Mantan Web site reported on Tuesday that "Sakura no Ame," a song popularized by the virtual idol singer Hatsune Miku, is being adapted into a novel. The song about graduating students, created by musician Haruyoshi Mori of the three-man acoustic group absorb, gained popularity online when he uploaded a version of the song performed by Hatsune Miku to the Nico Nico Douga video service. Since then, it has become a popular song at Japanese graduation ceremonies and was made into a live-action film.

The novel depicts Hatsune Miku as a high school student in the school's choral club who interacts with other popular Vocaloid characters such as new club members Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, and Megu. Miku and the other characters are shown as they spend time together while graduation approaches.

The novel will be written by Ryō Fujita, and Mori, also known as halyosy, is credited as the novel's original creator and for its original concept. Illustrations for the novel will be drawn by illustrators Yu, Yoshida Dondorian, Karu, and Batako. It will reportedly be released on March 23, but is already for sale in Japan.

Whoa, I hadn't known there was a live-action film. It'd be really nice to read the novel. Guess I'll have to learn Japanese though. D:

Of course every Vocaloid music listener know this song, but I wanted to point out that halyosy uploaded the original on his YT channel 3 days ago. So, refresh your playlists and subscribe to his channel if you like his work :)

http://www.animenews...miku-gets-novel

This is about the 3 or 4th song to be novelised or otherwise taken into story format outside of song format.
Youtube poster 1; what does the [/] do?

Youtube poster 2; I'm guessing that it breaks the word in half.

It says in the article that Miku, Luka, Rin, Len, and Megu (Gumi?) are the "other characters in the choral club". So.... are they just background characters? I seem tho think so, because that cover picture depicts a totally random girl.

I'm pretty sure the girl is miku, i don't think they'll just slap the usual miku for the cover. They just made her more human i think. Just look at the website, the kagamines and luka are besides her.

Well, I guess it's just the shorter hair that caught me off guard. But still...

I wonder what their personalities in the novel are going to be. I have a feeling not everyone will like their given personalities

Story and characters wise, there aren't any restrictions like Aku no series, I'm interested how the novel will turn out.

Speaking of Sakura no Ame... Here's another version by Absorb
