That was years ago...Now 'The World' has opened once more in the year 2040 an expansion came out for the brand new Re-opening of 'The Worlds' Japanese servers.

Yuuki Kururugi made his way home from the hospital as he walked into his silent house.
"How was she....?" a Females voice called from inside the kitchen.
Yuuki ignored his mother as he walked up the stairs into his dark room he placed his school bags down onto the floor as he changed out of his uniform and into something more comfortable as he threw his body onto his bed covering his eyes with his hand.
Yuuki let out a long sigh as he sat up and looked at his desktop with the headset.
Yuuki got up slowly and walked towards the desktop as he turned it on to see the usually Altimit computer opening as it went straight to his desktop which had a picture of himself and his best friend Hinami on it.
He quickly double clicked on 'The World' icon as the game intro started up and the themed picture showed up of the Usual sword sticking into the ground with the city background. Yuuki clicked onto the forum/ rumors board and skimmed through the new posts as he looked at them, Mostly the posts about the players who have suddenly disappeared from the game.
He began to exit out of the forum and looked out the game screen once more.
"I-I might as well I suppose...."
Yuuki clicked on the log in screen as he slipped on the head set and flicked on the power as the game had begun to automatically sign him in with a load screen.
He picked up the controller that connected to his computer as he then became immersed into the game.
He was no longer simple Yuuki Kururugi.
He was Sin The spirit charmer.

As the human behind the screen began controlling Sin certain things no longer mattered as he soon found himself strolling down the canals of the Eternal Aqua City of Mac Anu.
As players walked by happy with no cares but to level up or what area they would cover next he just stared down into the data filled water.

Sin stood on the dock of Mac Anu as he thought about Hanabi his high lvled partner...
He crouched down holding his knees as he sat on the dock of the canal.
The Npc River Boat came by as the option came up to go on the boat or not he found himself pointlessly wasting the money he was holding and got onto the boat and sat down looking up into the digital sky.
Characters began watching his character as he could hear the sounds of their voices coming through loud enough to hear things such as.
"He looks so mysterious." Or
"Why does he look so depressed?"

The only thing that was one Sin's mind was his best friend and without realizing it started to talk aloud as he said.
"I wish you where here..."

The sounds of the Mac Anu River was peaceful and smooth but he only wished for it to was away the memories and bad things from his life.

Shirou wakes up rather late today. It's 11:00 am now. Shirou curls up, and he crawls down from his bed. Shirou changes into his usual clothes, and goes down the stairs "Hey! Finally wakes up aren't ya?" says the guy that's waiting on the kitchen, who also his step-father "Yeah, i pulled an all-nighter last night" Shirou says. His mind went back to last night, the time when he first join 'The World' and got addicted to it, which leads him to grinding all-night. "Good for you! Well then, breakfast ready!" the man says, putting 2 plate of bacons and eggs. Shirou eats it, and quickly got back up to his room.

He boot his computer, a rather old one, but have been modified to match those on display. He types his passwords, and his desktop shows up, revealing the rather moe wallpaper. Shirou quickly double-click 'The World' icon, waits for the log-in screen, types his log in id and passwords, and before pressing enter, he put on his headset, turning it on at the same time he pressed enter. He then takes the controller, and the dives to 'The World'.



R34P3R spawns at the colloseum. He then summons his scythe which he luckily got yesterday, the Scarred Eternity. He then walks to the chaos gate, exiting to the city. Shirou types field/ Δ Server Aqua City Mac Anu, and warped to the city. The Mac Anu river is flowing at usual, but it doesn't matter to R34P3R, he then walks towards the town square, and begin searching for sparring opponent

Ruin stood in Mac Anu, not having gotten on earlier then most as usual. He just finished clearing a higher level area and got some unique armor and weapons... which wouldn't remain his for very long. Many players seeing him flocked around him, gawking and giggling. He, however, had his attention elsewhere. His guild list. More importantly, a player online not answering any messages. It's been this way for quite some time now. Malacath, Daedra Heart's guild master, was unresponsive which was out of normality for him.

Finally looking around at the group of people he asked them to move aside so he could go somewhere, resulting in just that. He never forces people aside, no, he was always kind to the players who looked up to him. It was only natural to him. Seeing Sacrimentia log on he smirked as he crossed the towns river and stopped on the bridge. Hearing whispers as people passed him he simply smiled and leaned on the railing over the water. He wondered when they were going to reopen Dual City Lumina Cloth for the game and not just the beta, he wanted to do something with his title as 'Sage Palace Emperor' after all.

Sacrimentia ran out of the dome and jumped around, excited as ever to start leveling and meeting new people. Panting heavily she took a deep breath before looking around Mac Anu, she always found it so beautiful for a game. She was one to appreciate pretty things - so to speak. Seeing her brother Ruin she waved to him before running off towards the shops remembering she needed to get something for her adventures! ...yeah, adventures.

Yari swung open his front door a bit forcefully.
"That's a week straight she hasn't been at school.." he grumbled to himself as he pulled a cold drink out of the fridge. He walked to his room casually tossing his school stuff along the floor. He started to boot up his computer, knowing it would take a few minutes to boot up, he pulled out his homework for the night. After five minutes of staring at his math he tossed the book aside and shrugged.

Once his computer was running he immediately started The World. "I bet she has been online all day." he said smirking. He checked the news feed seeing nothing particularly new. He logged in contemplating what quest he should work on. He dug his headset out from his drawer and took his controller. "Game time..."

LAX'd spawned in a Mac Anu. He started to walk to where he thought the market was. He was still unsure of the layout of town. He pulled out his scythe 'Tombstone' and began to wander around. He had been saving up to buy some armor and was hoping he could find some for a decent price. He got lost in town and stopped outside an inn debating with himself whether to ask directions and seem like a total noob or continue wandering.

Alison logged into the world. Checking her messages and forum news, "What, more disappearances. Huh, lets see here, open. Dear kel.......party.....meet up at hidden forbidden holy ground.......new quest. Ok, i'll come. Hidden forbidden holy ground eh, not been there in ages.", She hit play. Her eyes adjusting she saw Mac Anu, and smiled She turned to face the gate, holding up her hand. "Hidden forbidden holy ground.". She saw a bright light, then a second later she was standing outside a large cathedral in the middle of nowhere. Her party standing by the doorway. Running up to them she smiled and hugged each one, "Im sorry im late, been busy. So, what i miss?".

Looking around, and no one is rowdy enough to take the fight to him. "Fine then" R34P3R says, also walking to the chaos gate, and types dungeon/ Δ Running Frostbite Flicker, and he warps.

R34P4R arrives at the dungeon, an ice castle. It is cold, but he didn't care. And a monster pops up, a high leveled one. R34P4R quickly dodges it's first attack, sliding to it's sides, and reaps it's stomach, then landing his scythe on it's head, resulting it's death. Then another one pops up, which he quickly anticipates by swinging his scythe, landing on it's leg, cutting it in process. This goes on for about five minutes, before R34P4R actually got tired. Luckily the monster around seems to hesitate a little. R34P4R quickly bags in the spoils, and then with a wide swipe, kills two more monster. Last one is there, trembling. R34P4R swings his scythe again, this time directly to the head. And the rest is silence. R34P4R manages to level up to lv 9, and bags some nice item. R34P4R approaches the chaos gate, and type field/ Δ Server Aqua City Mac Anu, and he warps back to the city.

Back in the city, R34P4R quickly searches for Merchant NPC, and sells some useless item. Then he moves to an alley where he usually hangs out, just by the river, checking his newfound equipment.

Kel looked at her inventory, selecting her lightest armor. once she equiped the armor she smiled at her party, who seemed to be heading off, leaving the normal round up to her. She saw them leave then got notifications that they had logged off, so she decided to go back to the city. She walked up to the gate selecting "Δ Server Aqua City Mac Anu". Once back she strolled up to the river, sitting on the edge in front of an alley way, Her legs dangling over into the water. Watching the boats pass by. "Ah, so peaceful today. I wish everyday was like this.", she went off into a daze, not noticing the lad in the alley behind her.

As ussual, she was thinking over the best place to meet new people, or what quests there were to do today. she lay back, her legs still dangling into to water. As her head touched the ground she noticed the lad in the alley, "Oh, hello there.".

What?! You're still not online?

Amika flicked her pen against the desk absentmindedly, producing a quick succession of tapping noises.
She had rushed home from school because she had planned a 'date' with her boyfriend, usually using an immersive chat/video client, only to find that he was offline. With his busy schedule and the different times between them, they often planned beforehand when they would talk. It would be around midnight in Tokyo where he lived, but he always stayed up to meet her and had never missed their arrangements...up until a few days ago.

The first time he hadn't shown up to their planned gaming session together, she figured something had come up...of course there were a lot of little reasons, and she had shrugged it off and played solo. But she hadn't seen him online in about 5 days now, and he wasn't responding to any emails or messages she sent him...she was starting to get worried. It definitely wasn't like him at all, so something was up.

She began to regret not asking for his phone number. The phone was starting to become an outdated method of communication by now, not to mention the long distance charges would be astronomical, but at least she would be able to hear him confirm that everything was okay.
...
But maybe she was worrying too much. It had only been a few days. Thinking about it, maybe an emergency had come up. And stewing about it really didn't do her much good. As much as she hated to admit it, she was halfway across the world and there wasn't much she could do until he logged on himself.


She slouched a bit in her seat, getting comfortable. Might as well play The World now that she was online. It helped her brush up on her Japanese, and she was sure she could impress her boyfriend with her improvement next time they met, both her language skill and her character.

Putting on the headset, she felt herself being released in a way, and reemerging as AmiAmi. She still found herself amazed and how realistic it all seemed, especially because she had never really played many games before.

As she wandered around Mac Anu, she nearly bumped into another player. One with a scythe out. Short of hitting it, she awkwardly dodged out of the way and checked the player. LAX'd...a newbie like her, although she was a little higher. It took her a while to form a sentence, cross-checking the Japanese dictionary she kept at her desk for reference.

"Wow, be careful with that thing!" She chidded in what she hoped was a cheerful way, "you nearly poked my eye out~"

Asuka paused to look at the clock. 5:30...I guess it's not late enough to call Saki yet. She sighed, and resumed the final few problems on her math homework. It would be at least another four hours before her sister would be free to call--or play (however unlikely that would be). I really overestimated my homework load, Asuka frowned. Too bad I decided to stay home to do it. Her friends had decided to go out for fun today, but Asuka felt she had too much homework. She was, for this once, mistaken about the work load.

After she finished the last problem, it was scarcely 15 minutes later. Needless to say, she had a lot of free time. Well...maybe I can go kill some time in The World, she thought, noting her cellphone had fallen out of her schoolbag. She put away her homework and brought the cellphone to her room, powering up the netbook she had bought a few years back. It was cheap, and outdated, but it served its purpose. After all, playing The World on a PC was a much more enjoyable experience than on a mobile phone; while The World had a mobile client, it lagged, and the graphics were toned down for the weaker hardware, despite the compatibility of M4D glasses.

Asuka changed out her glasses for the M4D and turned it on, immersing herself in The World R:3.



Now, she took the form of a catgirl-styled twin blade, her avatar "Charlena", and appeared next to the chaos gate in Mac Anu. Almost as soon as she logged in, someone called to her.

"Hey you! Is this your first time playing? I can show you the ropes." A player offered, approaching her.

"Nah, I'm okay. I know the basics." Charlena waved them off, suspecting the character was a PK. She walked out of the building that housed the chaos gate, and stepped out into the Eternal City. I wonder what I should do first...maybe there's some solo quests...? The catgirl wondered, strolling alongside the central canal. Mac Anu sure is gorgeous...if I ever have the chance to get an in-game house, it will definitely be here!

R34P4R almost drops his whole bag of equipment, since a voice suddenly calls out to him. He looks around, and he find a person, a woman, sitting by the river, laying down on the street. It's R34P4R first time for actually talk to somebody (He joined yesterday remember, and too busy grinding), but since he himself never talks much, even in school, R34P4R decides to say "What do you want? I'm rather busy" and he gets back to his equipment check. Seems like his newfound equipment has some new and cool hood, robe, and a mask with a half skeleton face (the mask only covers half of his face). He quickly put in on, and looks at his status bar. Whoo, i look badass!

LAX'd turned to around to see the girl named AmiAmi. "Oh..I'm sorry." he said very genuinely before a cocky grin grew across his face. But I don't see how you could have not noticed me and my awesome scythe standing out!" He put his scythe away quickly before beaming back at the girl. "It's probably best I put my scythe away so everyone doesn't get jealous!" He slouched back into a more relaxed pose. "You look like you're heading off to the market, cuz if you are we could totally hang out!" he said scratching his head secretly hoping she would help him find the marketplace.

Kel, looked at the lad frowning. Really, people now adays were so rude and quick to snap at you. "You don't need to be rude R34P4R. Or, are you trying to hide something.", She said, teasing him. Level 9 against a level 11, obvious winner, but she wasnt looking for a fight, just to meet new people. She opened up her status bar, then menu. Selecting mail she decided to send a message to one of her friends online. "Hi, where are you? want to go monster hunting.". She hit send, before returning her gaze to this immature boy. "Now then, where are your manners. Thats no way to treat someone who just said hi.".

R34P4R looks at the girl again, "Oh! Sorry! Where are my manners~" R34P4R says "That's what you expect?" R34P4R turns a cold gaze "And hide something? Really now, just because you're level is higher than mine, doesn't mean you can just poke your damned nose to MY problem" he says again, even more colder "I live my own life, you should too" R34P4R says, before leaving the alley, and went grinding again, leaving the girl there, alone. "What the hell....." R34P4R mutters to himself "Who does she thinks she is? Poking her nose to my business" he grumbles, as he reaches the merchant NPC again, selling his old equipment. Not a hefty sum of money, but enough for buying stuff. He then walks to the chaos gate, and types 'dungeon/ Δ Trashing Gale Flicker' and warps from the city.


It's a prairie, a plain prairie with a lot of grasses and windmills, not to forget the monster as well. "Let's get the party started......" R34P4R tooks out his scythe, and starts swiping it wildly

Kel rolled her eyes, she was only having a joke. Why do pople have to take things seriously with her, why couldnt they just relax and joke around. She tailed him to the gate and watched him type in the field type and walked up to the gate selecting "dungeon/ Δ Trashing Gale Flicker". She warped just 10 ft behind him, seeing a monster move up towards him. R34P4R was swinging wildly, how he survived this long was beyond her. She took out her bow, drawing an arrow back to her behind her ear, standing side on. She took aim, firing the arrow at the monsters head causing it to stumble. She quickly reloaded and fired three more shots bringing the monster down. She walked up to him, her hand outstretched. "The names Kawaii_elf, kel for short. If you run around swinging wildly like that, your not going to last very long. You need to focus, choose your attacks. Here, take this health drink. you dont look the type to carry any. And here, i'll tag along, i dont need the EXP, i just want to see you fight. And im useful against aerial opponents. I can even lend you a few health drinks when you need them."

Nice, so she actually tailed me here R34P4R sighed "Okay kel, first of all, i'm a flick reaper, and this is what flick reaper do, keeping the monster in distance while making them experience the world of hurts, and what more, flick reaper does not focus on one opponent, that's why we have this long scythe" R43P4R says, as he shows his wide swings, hitting 3 nearby monster "We're on different perspective on this, you're an Archer, archer focuses on one opponent because their mass-control attacks are few, while i'm a flick reaper, and again, we don't focus on one opponent, since we have lots of mass-control attacks, just like this" R43P4R inputs the command 'Wicked Strike', and swings his scythe horizontally around him, hitting about 4 monster around him "See what i mean?" R34P4R says in a cold voice. He has been doing this all-night yesterday, so the fatigue is not that significant to him. "And aerial opponent is no difference" R43P3R says, as he notices some wind gargoyles approaching, he then closes in, jumps, and stuck his scythe into one of the gargoyle, and drags it down, before finishing it off "And i don't need health drink, since monster can't approaches me-" and R43P3R got struck by an arrow "Ow!" R43P3R turns to the direction where the arrow came from, and he found a goblin archer "R-ranged monster is an exception" He says, as he closes in the goblin archer, which continuously fires the arrow, but since he already knew the source, it'll be harder for the goblin to hit him. R43P3R delivers the finishing blow after landing few attacks on it. "And if you wanna tag along, i suggest you keep out from my scythe range" R43P3R coldly says, as he approaches another group of monster.
