"And this will be yours," the girl said, opening the door into a lovely apartment which had a perfect window view of the sunset. Furniture was there, as if someone lived there. "Oh, the previous owner...left unexpectedly, not getting the furniture. Consider it part of the package." As if that hadn't set the sale, she mentioned, "it's clean, too. Very nice." Bruno smiled wider. "I'll take it," he said eagerly. The apartment was the place of his dreams. It was as if the city had expected him.
Lily walked to her house from her waitressing job, passing by an apartment complex where a man was shaking hands with a realtor. One of the new ones, Lily realized. Little did Mr. Happy there know that those places belonged to recently evacuated/exterminated(?) UTAUs. From what Lily had been hearing, it was the Engloids idea, and the loss of UTAUs had caused a rift. A little bird had said at the resteraunt that there would be a storm brewing, and as soon as she saw the new man's face, saw his eagerness to be here, saw his naivity at the truth and the tensions, that the little bird was right...

She pulled out her phone to call her agent, taking one day to herself usually had to be met with weeks of working in a studio for an album she would never get credit for singing on. Before she typed in the phone number, however, she saw a man outside of the UTAU's old place. Poor things, constantly being unzipped wrong, unstable, some of the others had told her. Someone told her that it was the J-Loids who said the Vocaloids would be better off without the more demented UTAUs. However this guy was definitely a Vocaloid, albeit one she had never met. She decided that talking to the new guy would be less painful than talking to her agent, if only by a hair. Hoping this would be a short and sweet conversation she lazily said, "Hello."

Prima, walked down the thin street of a little town, that she finds more enjoyable than an opera house. She had her same, bored face. But she kept thinking, I wonder how this town became so quiet. She kept walking, and she tucked a small, black curl behind her ear and grinned. She touched her hip, of where her dagger was hidden.
I should buy a new weapon

Hypocrites.
Breathing in the air - it was so different from the city - he poured calmness into himself once again. Sure, he may miss singing. However, that did not mean he would give it up entirely. Just because there were no adoring fans, just because there were no media and papparazzi, doesn't mean he wouldn't sing. In fact, this would be better, in his opinion.
Meanwhile, in news around the city, including public areas and cafes, news just came in about his disappearance.

Miku sighed and paid attention to where she was going. She opened the door to the cafe and peered around. She only wanted a quick bite. A cookie, maybe.
In the considerably smaller town, Luka came around the corner of a building and strolled down the street. There was no way she could handle the hustle and bustle of the big city. It was too crowded, too loud, and there was just... too much there. Here, she was satisfied. There wasn't a lot she had to deal with here. She considered it to be perfect. She looked up at the sky and smiled, humming a song she was quite familiar with as she went along.

A few moments later, he felt the wind.
Opening his eyes, he unsheathed his Katana and, in a series of strokes, had cleanly most if not all of the falling leaves straight from the tip to the stem. Nodding in satisfaction, he was about to try again when the sight of a girl with a cane caught his attention. She was humming a song and seemed gentle enough, but he had a feeling there was more to her than what he saw on the outside.

She flicked the top of her cane open to reveal a concealed spear. She took two seconds or so to aim precisely and threw it in the bird's direction. It squawked and fell to the ground, bringing her "cane" down with it. Luka smiled slightly and limped over, picking it up and closing it.

It was quiet enough for Luka to hear him sigh. It's not like she planned on eating it or anything. She kicked the corpse into the bushes, and hid it as well as she could. She took a few steps back. It wasn't noticeable from here. You'd have to really be interested in the bushes to see it. She continued walking, except slower. She took a few glances every now and then at the man with the katana. She also sighed. There wasn't much she could do to practice with a spear. You'd have to wait around for a target to come by.

Besides, with the upcoming 'storm', as his mentor had called it, both of them just might need the practice.

He turned as he was addressed by a woman. She looked like an interesting figure, so he smiled. "Hello," he replied. He stared at her for a bit, then caught how rude that was, and continued with, "I'm Bruno," and extended his hand.
"Lily! Table Two!" the manager shouted over the din in the kitchen. "Yeah, I've got it," she replied in a bored tone, heading out to the dining area. She smiled when she saw Meiko, the only person with whom she could not worry about what she said. She walked over, beaming. "Hey, Meiko." A customer yelled for something and she yelled, "Give me a second!" She would have been harsher, but her manager was watching. Lily turned back to Meiko. "Sorry about that. So, how's it going?"
