I don't know about this. I don't see really much info about Vocaloid on that website from what I can see. Unless they're really on top of their news like this website can or if they can at least translate the news posted on that website I hotlinked, I can't say much about this VocaloLight. also, who are the fans involved in this anyways?

edit #1: their VocaloNews section is a bit outdated and there's really not a lot of news of vocaloid anyways.

Ah, hello, that would be my post.

As some of the users will remember, there was a call for writers for a "magazine project." VocaloLight is the product of that. The first issue's coming out really soon, so we really hope you'll check it out. c:

As for the format, the people in charge of layout are trying to make it pretty accessible. In terms of exactly what format(s) it's gonna be in, I don't know.

EDIT: Also, they're hoping to make it at least bi-monthly (monthly if we can find a way to churn it out), so it's not going to be "on top of it" like other blog sites are. There's a lot more "thoughtful" types of articles, mainly reviews and such. It's an interesting variety of articles, and it's hopefully going to get better each month.

Yep, its real.
It's an online magazine, with reviews, news, and other Vocaloid happenings.
The first roll-out date was supposed to be yesterday, but there were some problems with iTunes Connect.
It is apart of FM 137.9, and if you look on their website, I believe it shows you how you can apply to become a broadcaster/writer for Vocalolight.

So, this is going to be online only? Actually, I prefer it that way instead of a physical form. I'm guessing the first edition will show news since the release of Vocaloid 3, and since it's going to be bimonthly it should contain a lot, if not all, of the vocaloid news and trends that appeared since the last edition. If it all goes well, I'm ditching all my RSS feeds and news blogs (aren't they the same thing?) and rely on this one big source for all of Vocaloid news. Bye-bye Vocaloidism and all those Japanese vocaloid news sites that I have to use google translate for.

But it's fan-made, so I highly doubt they'll cover most content.

Yeah, basically it's an online magazine. Technically a website, but I don't know much, I've never signed up for online magazines, one of the reasons because I hear they're usually not free, unlike blogs.

Ah, you'll enjoy this one. As the post said, it's going to be a bit interactive. There's a few things in digital media that we haven't quite gotten to yet on print.

(Though we're getting close.)

Plus, trust me, I think all of us would love a Vocaloid print magazine. However, the questions end up being: Circulation? Printing prices? Subscribers? Advertising? Copyright? Paying contributors? There's so many considerations when you're doing a print magazine, and personally I don't think that there'd be enough national interest in a Vocaloid print magazine, much less a method to execute it in a reasonable manner.
