Sarassaland Underground A 1x1 between Akemi Homura and The Amazing Leeky

It was tragic, really. Mario had actually been defeated, after so many victories. And Bowser had dethroned Princess Peach and turned her once beautiful kingdom into a nightmarish realm of death and horror. Luckily, Sarassaland had been out of reach, or so it seemed. There were hundreds of underground networks that refugees escaped into by dozens, coming to Daisy's domain. She didn't mind, she was glad to help, but there were so many.
Peach. What became of her after Mario's downfall? Daisy was sick with concern for her old friend, and for everyone innocent in Bowser's new home. It just wasn't fair! How all she could do was stay here, healing, when she should be stopping all of this. But as her reasonable set of mind told her(and she begrudgingly agreed), this was what she needed to do. Keep her own home strong.
So, she stayed. She could only pray for her friends...and for Luigi. He was the one she worried for the most. Gentle, cowardly Luigi, who was always protected by Mario. What became of him? Daisy shook the thoughts from her mind at that point. I'll think about it later, she thought, heading to an elderly refugee who was almost fainted. Right now, I've got work to do.

Mario...his very brother who was defeated by Bowser himself, he saw his brother's untimely demise first hand as they where both trying to defend Princess Peach's Kingdom, tossing his battered body aside over a rocky cliff was all he could remember before falling unconscious. It was that encounter on Chocolate Island that would change the fate of the Mushroom Kingdom. When he was able to finally tell Peach of Mario's fate, she was sobbing in grief, shocked at first but her heart felt so much pain she couldn't bare to do anything, let alone organize the defense of the Mushroom Kingdom, that was a responsibility that Luigi had to force upon himself.
News of Mario's defeat spread like wildfire across the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond, now it seemed nothing could stop Bowser from taking complete control. He did just that, seeding forth a massive army of Koopa minions to storm the castle and even Luigi himself couldn't hold them all off. He was force to quickly organize and evacuation plan that would send all the citizens to the neighboring kingdom of Sarassaland though the use of the warp pipes and secret underground tunnels. He had only wished he could of saved the Princess in Mario's place, however she had went missing during the Castle's siege.
Luigi did his best to block out those painful memories, shaking his head and sniffing a little has he slowly started to walk up the step's of Princess Daisy's castle, with his recent group of Mushroom Kingdom refugees. There was still many more sick, injured and homeless within the castle and supplies and space were quickly running low to support them all. He was more than happy when he saw Daisy herself tending to some of new arrivals already and leading them. Seeing her once again bought high spirits to Luigi's sadden heart. "I manged to find some more of them," the green plumber explained as he wiped the sweat from his brow. The wounds he had suffered were getting to him now as he winced in pain and leaned against the wall only to slump on the ground.

The hardest part of this whole Bowser incident was seeing Luigi like this. The loss of his brother had given him a heavy responsibility and a powerful legacy to uphold. Daisy examined him, slumped over and exhausted, and felt like crying. Daisy had never been one to cry, however, so she just got a hold of a glass of water and sat next to Luigi. "I'm helping you now," she said, squeezing his hand in support then making it hold the cup. "You must be thirsty. Rest for a while before you go again, okay?"

"I'm...fine. Where is Princess Daisy?" He was quick to ask.
"She has already left thought the warp pipe to the Underground just minutes ago."
"Mama Mia!" He exclaimed out loud panicking a bit. He knew how dangerous it was inside with all those baddies in there, not to mention she was going at it by herself and Luigi was not fond of seeing Daisy doing anything so risky. "I gotta go after her!" He is wounds now healed a bit as he rushed towards the nearest warp pipe, getting a nice running jump as he hopped inside in pursuit of the Sarassaland Princess.

Daisy stopped. Footsteps were sounding out through the chamber. She looked around wildly for a hiding place, them dived behind a boulder as some of Bowser's Koopas marched in. Instead of leaving, they stayed, as if on patrol. Daisy stopped breathing, and quietly started praying for her life and safety.

Not too far in he peeked around the corner to spot a group of Koopa Troopas standing around as if they where on patrol and perhaps looking for something. Whatever they were up too, it was surely no good. Upon further inspection from his angle Luigi could see someone else hiding behind a large bolder, it was Daisy but she was dressed differently as if her purpose was to travel though the Underground herself. Not wanting to see the young Princess in danger, Luigi decided to grab a greyish block from at stack that was nearby, it was glowing rapidly in a rainbow-ish hue when Luigi touched it. Then he was quick to toss at one of the Koopa Troopas knocking him out instantly as it keeled over, and retreated back into its shell. Unfortunately, it got the attention of the other Koopas and saw Luigi, and they were quick to run after him. Luigi panicked and screamed out as he ran off hoping he was able to create a distraction for Daisy to escape.
