ACT1s, ACT2s, ACT3s and So On Just a quick question!

Behold, the fourth flipping thread I've made in this forum. I need a time out. xD

I've been trying to record an ACT3 for my Utauloid, and once my samples are rendered I can't help but worry that they sound too different from ACT2. What I mean is ACT2's samples sound smoother than the ACT3 samples, which sound more throaty when rendered in UTAU. I wanted to hear from some other UTAU users about their experiences and opinions on this kind of stuff.
So, my question to you lovely people is, is it better for an ACT2/ACT3/Etc to sound about the same or different? ovo;;

If they're going to sound different you should just call it a separate voicebanks like - insert name here- _ Strength

Because people usually want ACTS to sound the same just with better quality.
One day I shall have an amazing signature. This is not the day.

It's okay if you've posted this in other forums. You're doing this for SCIENCE. And SCIENCE is a-okay by me! : D

I'd say that an upgrade should be the same but smoother. You're still doing your fans/users a solid - - it'll make it easier to UTAU it up, which is great!

You could also add in extra phonemes or add hiragana/romanji aliases or something, so that even people who cannot hear the difference will have something to look at and compare with and want to upgrade for.

Yeah, the plan with ACT3 was adding more phonemes since I was a dumb-butt and didn't add phonemes other than the basic Japanes ones. xD;;
