So I'm still trying to work with MIRIAM on Happy Synthesizer in English and I am up to the lyric where MIRIAM is suppose to sing " Sorry to call so late at night, I bet you were going to be." However, when I play the part with rockleetist I notice that the wav file that Vocaloid creates is being thrown off because it is randomly adding in silence between words that should not have silence. For instance in the picture below is what the two wav files look like timed together. (The top Wav file in audacity is MIRIAM the bottom is Rockleetist)

The first section that is circled in orange is at the end of the word "sorry" in that spot is suppose to be the word "to" but instead the engine added in silence and pushed the word back a few miliseconds. (I know that doesn't sound like much but it is obvious it is late when you hear it.) The second circled area is the word "Night" Now this is starting on time but it is randomly dying out before it reaches the "I". Below I tried changing the phonemes and timing to this.

(The word "night" Is on the second voice and spelled out like " n Q " "I d" with the thought idea that the Q would help extend the note)
Still it didn't work and I have no idea what to do. Any feed back would be useful.

... oic.

Sometimes, V1s refuse to sing lyrics if there are too many consecutive consonants. To solve this, you need to do something like, for example:

[r O: l] [Asp l e N] [Asp g e n D] [Asp D V dh] [Asp dh i: p]

I don't know if this trick works with MiRiaM, but with LoLa, it acts like "Sil," allowing her to sing clusters.

I tried the Asp trick but it didn't work on her. (Asp on MIRIAM is a breath)

Maybe try splitting the words across notes a bit more ahead of 'night' or tweaking with the phonemes in the words before it, I know with some words my Miriam skips them until I tweak the words before them a bit. Also, try putting a smallish note with the phoneme 'h' after one of the notes... I've heard it helps with Luka's shortening of notes and since Miriam seems to be a special case with phonemes (like her Asp xD) it might do something for her.

^ You can't put consonants on their own notes in V1. If you do it'll either silence the notes immediately before and after it or else give you the most unpleasant screeching sound imaginable.

If nothing that nayone else mentioned has worked, the only thing I can think of that might be a problem is if MIRIAM simply doesn't like having [j] & [th] next to each other, although i can't see how you've spelled "night" so I'm just guessing here. Maybe try taking out the [j] at least on the "sorry to" part (idk if you have a [j] on "night") and maybe that'll help? idk... I'm really at a loss...
