Masa, organiser behind the annual Mirai no Neiro panels at Anime Expo, has now announced two guests they will be bringing to Anime Expo this year — DeadballP (known for his borderline outrageous lyrics) and Dixie Flatline (famous for the Megurine Luka song Just Be Friends). For each year since 2009, the Mirai no Neiro panel introduced the audience to the VOCALOID phenomenon and tried to give a broad overview of the many artists that grace the scene. Last year, they brought producers Penguin’s Project, sunzriver and ZANEEDS, and they even showed some world premieres of songs. Previously, they have also brought messages from many other producers who couldn’t come personally.

Ah, that's really cool. Although, to be honest, I'm not really familiar with Deadball-P or Dixie Flatline. But I guess now would be the best time to learn more about them. How fun~ (although it's not quite the concert that isn't gonna happen anyway that I'm still fervently praying for regardless)

Damn, I couldn't make it last year.... left home late and took a loooong 8 hour drive and we arrived on the last day. I'm not even gonna try again this year. I just hope someone records it or they start streaming it. I'll just wait a few more years till I'll be able to drive to LA. Or maybe hopefully get accepted into USC cuz it's so close...

Dixie?
i know deadball is a guy but Dixie... erm may also be a guy or.... girl
the only female producer i'm aware of is Oster project :/
Considering it is male dominant Dixie is most likely a guy well...i'm assuming.

Dixie Flatline (ジェミニの人, Gemini no Hito) is skillful in composing relaxing electronica ballads, hip-hop, and R&B. He is the author of the hit song "Gemini," his first work. His popularity has remained stable since then; his songs "Sweetie x 2", "Juvenile", and "Just Be Friends" have all gained considerable popularity.
His name comes from a character in the SF novel "Neuromancer" by William F. Gibson, which he likes. Though he is called the "Gemini no Hito" (person of Gemini) it is only because of the popularity of his song "Gemini": he is actually a Virgo.
He resided in New York for some time, and even has an english twitter account.

(...And now I'm hopelessly hoping that someday these awesome people would come to Active Expo.)
So now the Vocalo-Ps are starting to go after Mikunopolis and show themselves to the other side of the Earth. Good for us.
