Well I have pretty much finished up the cover I was doing of Happy Synthesizer and I need some help deciding if I should go with either hiring someone to make some cover art, Or if I should attempt to collab with someone who knows there way around Miku Miku Dance. The problem I see with both is that one of them I will have to shell out some big bucks for while the other I would have to go through people and try to select someone who has enough experience with Miku Miku Dance to be able to make it actually good. (Miku Miku Dance tends to either be fantastic or god awful so that is why I am nervous to pick that one.)

MikuMiku Dance or Cover Art?

i would go for cover art
its easier to find someone who have nice arts to make a pic for you
while in mmd comunitys its almost imposible to find someone whos "good" in it and would want to make mmd video for you lol

Happy Synthesizer has its own Motion Data, though. As long as the person you collaborate with picks good models and can sync the audio, the bulk of the work is mostly done.
That said, not all Vocaloids/UTAUloids have good models, or models at all. May I ask who you are using?

Okay, so using the same Motion Data is not fine, but chances are the art he'd use would have the same pose/style as the others.
Wouldn't that be the same problem?
I just thought an MMD video would be better than a static picture. If you have the ability to do so, why not go for it? Besides, there are plenty of interesting videos that use the same motion data. You can add other things, like MME or other accessories to spice it up. It doesn't just have to be two models dancing on the white background.

I would go for cover art. MMD animation may overshadow your audio work, as many people use it to showcase the models and not the audio.

Anyway maybe you can find like an after effects artist for one of those uh motion PV's kinda like Black Rock Shooter PV instead of just cover art or an MMD video. I don't know just an idea.

I'm using Vocaloid MIRIAM and Vocaloid Sonika.
Though by the looks of the poll so far cover art it is. Now I just need to figure out where to hire an artist....
