Carmen stood up triumphantly, putting her hands on her hips. "Done!" she cried,,looking at what was the last table to be set up that day. It was the day of her cafe's grand opening, and Los Tomates Rojos(she named it when she had been hungry) was in top shape. Carmen had no real idea of what looked good, but maybe Francis would have some advice. Well, he needed to hurry-in fact, all her employees did. The cafe opened in a half hour, and there was mo one there to work with uet! Carmen looked out the window and caught a glimpse of a threat to her business...the U.N. Cafe, conveniently located next to her own. She had never seen the owner, but she was on edge. That's when she smelled something burning. The coffee! "Gah!" was all she could say as she ran to fix the problem. Yeah, she needed help.

Yong Soo ran like crazy, trying to get to his new job on time. He had overslept, but that was because his dearest, darlingest sister Mei forgot to wake him when she took a shower. Though it was probably due to the fact that the day before she had discovered that peeping might not have been invented in Korea, but it was perfected there. Well, now he was almost late, but he wasn't mad at her-how could he be? Luckily, the cafe was right down the street. lmost out of breath, Yong Soo burst through. He leaned on the nearest table, panting heavily, until he saw his boss and snapped to attention. "S-sorry Mr. Polar Bear sir," he explained while still out of breath. "What do you need me to do today?"

Yeah, I really hate cannon ships. Not only they shoot cannonballs for heavy damage to buildings and infantries, they're also usually naval units, which means they can only be attacked by other naval units. Alice had been working hard to open up her café, and make it look even better than normal, because she now had competition, a new café had just opened up right next door. She had tried to be nice and meet with the owner, but she had been ignored, why did everyone ignore he? Still she would crush this new café, with her loyal customers, none of which knew she existed, still this new café did have her uncle, who she suspected didn’t even know she existed, so this was a war. Still a few of her employees were running late, though as she thought that one of them, Yong Soo, showed up, though he acted like her pet bear was the one in charge, how did people miss her, but see her bear? Well at least they seemed to hear her when she used her bear to talk.

Alice moved behind her bear “ There’s a new café next door you, soo.. umm Your going to be at the front, greeting and seating most of the customers, fairly effeminate guys seem to be what draws the crowds now, and that’s you she said moving the bear’s arms around like it was giving overly dramatic orders.

Penelope was sleeping only to be woken up by an alarm , why did places have to open early , and why did she have to help out. Well one of the answers had to be because her sister Amelia worked at the shop, though they weren’t actually related. She did wonder about the why that café had to open early, for a place owned by a ghost, she had seen the owner but she just seemed to vanish if you didn’t pay attention to her, so shouldn’t it open late instead of early. Well she still had a little time, it wasn;t like the ghost owner made her clean much, really it seemed all she had to do was get attention, which was what she did best.

Natalia got up out of bed bright and early, but not before Ivana, apparently. Her room was empty. "You can't avoid me forever, big sister," she said to herself with a creepy little laugh. She put on her best clothes and sharpened her knife. Today she was starting her new job! She slipped her knife inside her purse. She drove over to the Spaniard's cafe and walked briskly through the doors. "I'm here. Now what?" she gruffly asked the owner.

Annaliese groaned. She had been driving for more than an hour and was just going in circles. Why was that cafe so hard to find. She was going to be late if she didn't find it to. She looked at the direction sheet she printed off of Google Maps. "This doesn't even make any sense!" Where was she again? This was pine street right? No it was Main Street. Wait-no, it was actually Johnson Road. Annaliese sighed. For all she knew, she might be on the moon. She called the number her new boss what's-her-name gave her. "Um, hello? Which way is the cafe again...?"

Katarina rushed her pace to work, knowing fully well that if she were to get there late, she could be lectured. Which she didn't fancy. So what, she'd overslept a couple of minutes... getting up thirty minutes after her set wake up time wasn't that drastic of a difference. There was a way to avoid this, by using something to force you awake, but if there was one sound she absolutely despised in the morning, it was an alarm clock. God, how she hated those things. They beep away like it's the devil's rave party! The last thing she needed was to be annoyed on the first day of work. So, with a limited amount of time to get ready, (brushing her hair was like sticking the Leaning Tower of Pisa up straight; there was this one goddamn curl!), she somehow managed to get out of there soon. Although... would her boss really care if she arrived late? It was a rather easy job to snag, so she assumed that all her boss would care about would be if they even showed up at all. But that thought dissolved as soon as she picked it up, because there it was in it's shining glory, the cafe. Her eye caught glimpse of another cafe nearby, and by nearby meaning right across the street. What a smart move that was... Shaking her head, she opened the door. "Oy, is there anyone here?" she called out, quick to discover that yes, there were people there. Great... what a nice first impression.

Amelia would have drove to work in her car, but unfortunately for her, map reading was not her forte and neither were directions. But who needed maps anyway? That was one of the reasons she couldn't become a pilot. It seemed like, for some reason, there were no maps of other countries in her inventory... But, pushing that aside, she rode her bike down a few streets before stopping in front of the Canadian girl's cafe. Noticing there was a cafe down the street, she smirked. Competition, huh? I'm game! she parked her bike in a safe place, entering the cafe. "Have no fear, I've arrived." she slowed her steps, seeing a young man and a bear... "Oh. Is the owner not here yet or something...? Weird."

,armen smiled broadly as one worker came in, shortly followed by another. They were both cute girls, Carmen loved cute young things. The blonde one, though, seemed extremely scary and might not be fun to work with. The brunette, though, was angry, but in an unusually cute way. Carmen was already playing favorites. "Oh yes! Welcome!" the Spaniard said, clapping her hands together. "I'm Ms. Carreido, but feel free to call me Carmen; I want us all to be friends." She was saying this more to the brunette than yhe blonde, since the blonde would probably eat her before becoming a friend. "Let me see...ah, you are...Natalia, and...and..." Uh-oh, she was horrible with names. Would this, make the brunette like her less?

Yong Soo nodded proudly to the bear. "You got it, boss!" And turned as a blonde came in with very nice big breasts just out of his reach. "Hey! Uh...welcome!" He said, a bit off on his duty due to the introduction of cleavage. "You are the new chick, right?" He stuck out a hand, secretly wishing it would hold her breast than her hand. "I'm Im Yong Soo, the employee Mr. Polar Bear couldn't live without." He made a nod to the bear. "That's our boss. He doesn't speak very loudly, so you have to be really quiet to hear him," the Korean added.

"Yes, my name is Natalia.", she said. "Now answer my question; What. Am. I. Supposed. To. DO?!" Natalia yelled. If that stupid woman didn't answer her question the next time she asked, she would never speak another word again! Natalia gripped her purse tight, scowling at the Spaniard.

Finally, Analiese found the cafe. There was another one right down the street. How odd, she thought. When she came in she saw a man and a woman talking next to a... polar bear? "That's our boss. He doesn't speak very loudly, so you have to be really quiet to hear him," the man was telling the woman. "W-what?",she stuttered, "our boss is a polar bear?" Was that man insane? That polar bear couldn't be the boss. It was an animal! And besides, what the hell was a polar bear doing in the middle of a cafe anyways? Was this the right place? "Excuse me, is this the U.N. Cafe?"

Alice’s bear had actually turned its head to look at her, while she messed with its arms to give orders, and it gave her a look of who are you, even her pets forgot who she was, it would bring her to tears if this wasn’t normal. Though that was interrupted by a new arrival, well two new arrivals which made alice and her bear turn their attention to her. To alice’s surprise it was someone who actually question what her pet was doing here, or how it could own this place, though the latter was here, though no one ever treated here like. Still she had asked if this was the U.N. café, though she most likely wasn’t a costumer, as it was too early and they hadn’t opened yet, well she had put out some flyer to get more people.

Alice shook the bears head This is the U.N. café, you here for a job? she asid, moving the bears pawns to have it scratch it’s head.

Penelope waited out front, for a little bit before she realized that Amelia wasn’t coming to get her, why didn’t Amelia remember to get her, she could be so mean, well she had to admit her sister had had her air head moments, like her complete inability to read even the simplest of maps, though she always pushed though being completely lost to get to her destination, eventfully and that was something to admire maybe. Well leaving your sister behind wasn’t something good, well they weren’t sisters, but they were in her mind. Well she knew where to go and could walk there in no time, so she started off, walking at a fast pace.

Katarina narrowed her eyes at Carmen. Figures. It figures. "Katarina Vargas." she grumbled. What a nice start to the day. First, her boss forgets her name, second, she's taller than her. Goddammit, she was like a freakin' skyscraper! What else? She held back a sigh and changed the subject. "I agree with her." she mumbled, gesturing over to the blonde she-devil, judging from first impressions. "The cafe opens soon, right? What do we do?"

Amelia turned to the young man, completely oblivious to the fact that he'd been ogling her. A grin lit her face. "Nice to meet you, I'm Amelia." she introduced, giving his hand a proud shake. "Glad to be working with you." She directed her attention over to the polar bear. "A polar bear for a boss, huh? Nothing too foreign to me. I've had my fair share of interesting bosses. This is no different."

Ivana woke up and quickly ran to the cafe she had a job in. When she when in, see saw her sister yelling her head off at the Spaniard who owned the shop, and a seemingly Italian girl standing next to her. "Oh god." she thought, as she silently went next to Spain and said: "Good day, I'm Ivana. What's your name, and what should I do?" Even so, she still had a scary aura around her.

"Gah! I'm late!" Aurora said as she still took her time to slowly dress up properly before she went for work. Walking as fast as she could, she reached the cafe called the U.N. Cafe soon. "Sorry, I'm late!" Aurora said, as she went in. She looked at the bear, and realized someone was behind it. "Uh? May I ask who are you, and why are you playing with the bear...? And oh right, what am I to do?"

Francis sped into the parking lot in front of two cafe's, one of them named The U.N. Cafe, and the other one-Los Tomatos Rojo, which Francis worked at. In fact, he was late for work, because he had been... busy the night before. Francis hopped out of his car, and ran into the restaurant, seeing his boss conversing with some beautiful young women. He walked up to them, and grinned.
"Who are these beautiful young ladies, Carmen~?" Francis asked, studying the women as he tried to look as innocent and gentleman-like as he could make himself.

--

Mei was asleep in the kitchen of the U.N. cafe. She hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, due to her having to watch for her brother, and yet she'd still gotten up at dawn. Mei dreamed of delicious rice cakes, as the soup on the unattended stove boiled over. She rolled from her place on the counter, accidentally putting her sleeve in the flame.

(Sorry its short and stupid D:)

Alice was truly surprised that someone had noticed her, everyone else was acting like the bear was the boss, well at least they could hear her when she used her bear to talk to them. She really didn’t know how to treat people who noticed her, which was Ironic seeing as she did want more people to notice her, but she was far too used to being unseen, which in truth had allowed her to graduate from a collage at 15 and open this café. She looked at the person who had noticed her with the look of a deer caught in head lights.

I am well… umm… I guess … you could call me…. The boss….. I do own the café,… though no one notices me …… if well… you want to do something….. umm…. Can you go …… check out that smoke smell she said timidly.

Natalia grinned. "Big sister, I'm so glad you made it!" She said in an unusually sweet tone of voice, giving Ivana a hug. In Ivana's ear she whispered. "I would like to talk to you. Alone."

Anneliese frowned. "Who are you talking to?" She asked the British girl who had just come in. This was insane. First she can't find the cafe, and then when she does there's a talking polar bear and a girl who talks to nothing. "Ummm... yes, I came for a job, um... magical talking polar bear." Anneliese said uneasily. She had to get out of this madhouse. And now there was smoke coming out of the kitchen. This was great, just great.

Carmen swallowed nervously at the two girls. Uh-oh, this wasn't good. She had forgotten to assign jobs! To make matters worse, another blonde came in, also with a scaru aura eminating from her persona. At least she put scary blonde #1 in a better mood...thoigh that was also tinged with malice. Finally, Francis came in, and Carmen could relax at the siggt of her old friend. "Hi! Of course, positions, umm..." Carmen inspected her workers, then stammered an idea. "Si! So, uh...Katarina will,er, wait tables...Natalia will work the register, uh...Ivanna(guessing the name)...will have bussing duties...Francis will cook, and I'll greet!" She smiled at the last minute idea, in no way hiding her obvious stress. How would she know this wouldn't ne easy?!

Yong Soo smelled something burning in the kitchen and managed to pull his thoughts from Amelia's chest to one of more importance-Mei. She never burned anything, what happened?! Wiyhout a word, he dashed into the kitchsn to find his beloved sister on fire. "MEEEII!! NNOOOOO!!!" He pushed her away from the counter, then batted at the flame on her sleeve until it moved to his, causing him to panic even more. "OHMAIGAWDIMONFIRESOMBODYHAAAAALLPP!!!"

Waiting tables? Easy enough. Katarina could handle that... maybe. She wasn't too social in general. "Okay... so what do I do? Wait around until people show up?" she asked Carmen, while examining the people who had come in after her. There was a freaky as hell blonde chick who'd come in, giving off all kinds of scary waves. The she-devil clung to her like glue, so there must be something off about both of them-- wait, 'big sister'?
...Intimidated and sort of scared, Katarina backed away from them. Then there was that creepy blonde guy. There was something weird about him, too. Her boss seemed to have recognized him... great, so they must be friends. Everyone here sort of had a connection to each other in some way, and Katarina couldn't help but feel like the odd one out... but, whatever! This was a job, not a party! They could be speaking in French for all she cared!

Amelia was about to greet the newcomers before hearing the cry for help from the kitchen. Her eyes widened. That guy's on fire...? she asked herself in disbelief. Oh! This is perfect! I'm a world-class hero, after all! she rushed into the kitchen, knocking things over on her quest to find the fire extinguisher. When it was spotted, she picked it up and sprayed the two with the foam, or... whatever it was. After a few seconds, she put it down. "Ah, job well done!" she praised herself.

Mei jolted awake as she was sprayed with the fire extinguisher. The room smelled like something was burning, but it looked like that'd been taken care of. Mei jumped up, seeing the kitchen had become a huge mess.
"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED-ARU!?" She shouted, noticing Soo Yong and a young woman. Mei heard they were hiring, perhaps this girl was a new employee?
Mei looked at Soo Yong.
"What. Happ- Why is your sleeve smoking-aru?" She asked suddenly, pointing to her brother's burnt sleeve.

--

"Oui, oui!" Fransic said, dashing off to the kitchen. He knew he'd have more time with the girls later, so it was time to get down to business.
Francis started by preparing the kitchen. He checked to see everything was in stock, and that things were in their correct places. Then, he started some bread. He rolled the dough around, playing with it a bit. He made a snowman and a censored out of some dough, before shaping the bread and putting it-along with his creations- in the oven.
Francis leaned against the counter, thinking of what to do next.
