こんにちは! (hello) I am NEW heree and NEW to using UTAU i just installed it about 24 hours ago. i have gotten almost all files changed to romaj, parts translated to english and other parts in japanese (like i have been told/explained to from a UTAU tutorial ) i changed something on my computer so i can copy and paste japanese into UTAU and restarted my computer twice. but here are some problems i am having with UTAU/ and Teto the UTAU file if fine (atleast for all i know ) i even got tetos file into romaj...and now i thought had all the files running fine while i still have the teto folders..but somehow the tetos turned blank and i am freaking " ahh where is you my teto!!? ">_>


Stuck here:

1.I have been trying to download Teto 6 times and i just was in her folder 5 min ago but..
the thing is.. idk why but there are some files that are either empty or i cannot find them >_>
everytime i get "TETO" file i can go into it and see her photo, and hear sounds,breaths etc but after that it all goes *poof* and it goes blank and O_o I also havent gotten her onto UTAU yet either and there isnt even the default "UTAU photo" on there it went to blannk when i made UTAUs goof symbols into romaj.

2.i am able to type in words and i know how to make boxes,change pitch etc but i dont know how to get teto work (or if i can get her on UTAU and out of the folder(s) that keep on going *poof* even when i search them)

i dont know if i either forgot to do something ,i hope i have not goofed it somehow or that i need to download teto and/or UTAU all over again (i hope not i have spent ALL my time doing this.. it would mean alot if somebody would help thank you ~

I'm sorry, but I don't really get it. Could you try to explain more detailed what you've done, starting with how you downloaded UTAU, what you did to change things to romaji, where you put your Teto-folder, what you changed on your PC and where you got Teto from?

Ok sorry i was really freaking out lastnight.
i got Teto from http://kasaneteto.jp/en/voicebank.html and

i have autocity also installed
i got UTAU from the utau wiki
i got the res. file from http://www.mediafire...10gjq1x0cqtcx58

what i did:
installed UTAU
got the buttons on UTAU to english and the rest that couldnt be read turned to japanese
changed my lang partly so the UTAU pprogram can read japanese
restarted comp a few times
installed res. file
then i got teto and dragged her to my desktop
got tetos files into romaj
then i dragged her to my UTAU folder
then i tried putting her on UTAU
it asked me to save something i clicked ok
but whatever i did goofed it now that i remember..
then my teto files went blank
a thing pops up and says they are
and whenever i try to get her/re download her i search for what i downloaded and it dissipears O.O

How to install UTAU

1) Switch to Japanese locale and reset (should add IME to your keyboards as well, but that's optional)
2) download 7zip and install
3) download the rar of UTAU
4) unpack UTAU using 7zip
5) Download the english patch and unpack to the res folder under UTAU
6) Download Teto. If urar (or whatever it's called) drag and drop onto UTAU. If rar, unpack into the voice folder under UTAU

Done!

Ok so i RE installed UTAU fixed the folders and i got teto and i finally got her voice bank into UTAU YAYYYYYY the only thing i have to figure out is
how do i get teto to sing at all first of all ?

also everytime i log on i have to re put teto in the box >_>

It's normal to put Teto in the box everytime you log in, it's called voicebank selection. If you select her in that box, it's just a matter of opening a .UST and fitting it to her oto.ini and then press the play-button.

im just sort of confused.. i got her to finally sing and into the box i logged off to eat lunch logged back on and bam im having a hard time getting her back in the box >_> im glad this is normal but i dont remember how to get her back into the box.. maybe i can figure it out again.. but its confusing because im new at this lol

somebody told me somewhere that i need to put tetos voice in my UTAU folder but i am having this problem now i cannot find the UTAU folder >_> i have the UTAU program the Res file the uta default file i have tetos voicebank but i cannot find the bigg UTAU file i hope i do not have to re download UTAU cause i have easily spent HOURS just downloading all the files and trying to figure stuff out .. i hope it is ok that i am replying to myself nobody has posted a reply since yesterday an admin emailed me and said i could not post another thread about teto out there so i am trying in herei am still new confused and learning the rules but i hope by replying to myself that its no problem.. this is my only thread my other thread which someone was helping me on but then an admin deleted it i do not know what to do for teto orhow to ether get/find the file again it would mean alot if someone would help me with teto and what to do about the UTAU file i cannot manage to find ..

Hey there, buddy! : D

There are a few ways to import a voicebank into UTAU, and a few ways to ensure that UTAU will remember her after you install her. As I see it, you have three options:

1.
You can move Teto into UTAU's folder. To do this, you go to My Computer -- > Program Files -- > UTAU --- > Voice. Just drop her archive into there. If there aren't any complications, UTAU will always remember where to find Teto because she's in this folder. (Please note: there could be complications, since the way Teto's voicebank is organized is simultaneously awesome and stupid).

2.
You can add Teto to UTAU's voicebank directory by telling the program where you have her now. This option is nice, because you can keep her wherever you want. The way to do this might take a bit to explain but it's really very simple, and if you need help with it I will go into detail.

Briefly: In UTAU, you go to Tools -- > Options. You go into the second tab, which is a utility called Bank Registration. From there you locate Teto, and then "Add" her to the list. You have to be sure that her name appears in the white box, or else she won't be registered. After that is done UTAU will not forget her again.

3.
Since Teto's install is sort of finicky, the following is your best option: If you haven't tried it already, you can use the original .zip file you downloaded to install Teto fully and properly. To do this, you open UTAU, and drag and drop her original .zip onto the UTAU window. She should install automatically, and stay installed after UTAU is closed.

Because you want to work with romaji Teto, you'll have to do a little extra legwork. After you install the .zip archive she'll be installed in the same place as option 1, My Computer -- > Program Files --- > UTAU --- > Voice. One of the folders in "Voice" will have Teto's files in it.

I'm not sure how extensive your romaji conversion of Teto was. How did you convert her? If you just gave her romaji aliases in her oto.ini then the rest of the work should be easy. You just switch the oto.ini that's in UTAU's folder out for the oto.ini that is in your romaji Teto's folder. Remember to make backup copies of both the original Teto and the romaji Teto's otos --- copy/paste the otos and rename them "KanaTetoOto.ini" and "RomajiTetoOto.ini" so that you won't forget which is which.

If you used another method, then we might have to get creative.

Ahh, anyways, in my experience, it's hard to get Teto's picture to show up in the box, and to deal with her extra files with anything but option 3. I'd recommend doing that.

After Teto is listed, you can set her up to show up default by using the following method:

In UTAU, go to Project -- > Project Properties

In the upper left corner you'll see a button called "Voices (G)". First, go to Voices (G) -- > Select ---> and from there, select Teto.

After you've selected Teto, go to Voices (G) -- > Set as Default. This will have UTAU automatically load with whatever Voicebank is selected.

However, when you load a .UST UTAU will look for whatever voicebank the .UST was using when it was saved, so you'll probably have to change it over anyways. Oh well! It's convenient for messing around, anyways : P

i taught myself how to put Teto into her box every time FINALLY <3

I did run into a problems with somethings else though
Because im having trouble figuring out oto.ini's {havent done any yet since I dont wanna goof Teto up }
I am having trouble with it singing too
i'm confused with how to do them

Please help stuck HERE! ~

2. another having trouble with firefox when when i want to download things
such as ANOTHER package for Teto from the official site that has everything for Teto that when i'm ready/ want to start working soon with such as "append" etc...
(I have not installed it yet though as much as I want to ) because I have tried downloading stuff with firefox to get the hang of it and i think it set UTAU as something because it wants to save the file in either a weird spot of it wants to save the file directly with UTAU as a weird file and Tetos stuff needs to be saved first
