On a somewhat cloudy morning, Mayu was walking down a grand staircase while gripping onto the smooth, shiny railing. She didn't want to be clumsy and fall again. Especially in front of the servant shes taken liking to. She watched her feet as she was still walking down from the stair case, making sure she wouldn't take a trip. Once she stepped down from the last step, she sighed out in relief. Made it down safely. Good job, Mayu. She looked around to see if the certain someone was around but she quickly turned to go to the dining table. Before entering, she fixed her hair and she smoothed down her dress to make her look formal and she entered with no expression. Don't screw it up.

Oliver ran through the kitchen, his little bird James fluttering close behind. The pair had only been working for about three weeks, Oliver being sent from the orphanage to work since he was too old. It was okay; he was getting fed and James stayed with him, plus the lady he was under Mayu seemed to like him. It was a much better place than a cold orphanage. Getting his lady's breakfast, he slipped into the dining room and bowed. Good morning, miss, he said as trained. I have today's breakfast. It's, uh...eggs and french toast.

Yeah, I really hate cannon ships. Not only they shoot cannonballs for heavy damage to buildings and infantries, they're also usually naval units, which means they can only be attacked by other naval units. And boy do they destroy other ships easily. Flying units are safe from safe from them, but flying units suck at destroying mechanical units. Cannonships are way too OP, nerfs needed.

Mayu turned to face Oliver and she did a slight nervous tiny grin towards him, "Good morning and that sounds lovely." she told him as she went to the chair where she usually sat at, which was where her father sat before he past away. She sat down gently and made her posture right and she scooted in towards the table. Mayu waited for her food and was in no hurry. But she realized that early in the afternoon, her third cousin would be coming over.

Oliver nodded, bringing Mayu's plate to her. She was really beautiful, and his age, too...it always was funny to think that they could have been friends had he been richer, but fate had other plans. He set her plate down and stood by for a few minutes, before rwalizing he wasn't following routine. Oh! Uh...anything else, miss?

Mayu chuckled at herself as she saw the plate arrive in front of her. She found it cute how Oliver forgets what hes doing or how he thinks hes doing something wrong. Its not like she was going to hit him or anything. She looked up at him and did her nervous grin again, "May I please have some tea?" she asked. Mayu kept reminding herself that Oliver was her servant, not some rich guy. But she liked him, a lot.

Oh, yes, uh...of course, Miss. Oliver rushed over to the kitchen, setting up a cup and saucer to prepare Miss Mayu's tea the way he was taught she liked. Let's see...two spoons of sugar...a spoonful of cream-cream. Where's the cream?! Oliver started panicking until he heard a familiar chirp, then sighed in relief as James flew down, dropping a small saucer in his owner's hands. Thanks old buddy, Oliver said, adding the cream. James was one of his closest friends, there since his parents died. He was lucky to havr the clever little finch. If not, his life would have been so much lonelier.

Oliver picked up the cup and a kettle and took them out to Mayu. Here you are Miss, some nice-OHH! Oliver tripped on a snag on the carpet, spilling the tea onto the center of the formerly white tablecloth. Oh, no...now he'd done it. They'd probably beat him and throw him out...and he'd never see Mayu again. I-I-I-I'm s-so so-so..so-rry... the servant stammered, trying feverishly to eradicate the stain. He bit his lip, feeling tears to his pure embarrassment. Fourteen year olds didn't cry...not even when their one chance of a good life was spilled out on a tablecloth.

Mayu went in slight shock when she saw the table cloth being spilled on by tea. Her stern mother would possibly throw out Oliver and Mayu wouldn't want that to happen. She quickly stood up and started helping Oliver. She didn't want her mother to come down stairs and start being crabby towards Oliver. Once she picked up all the dishes, she found a catering cart and set the antiques down. She turned to Oliver and she put a hand on his shoulder, "You don't have to worry. We can just change the table cloth."

Oliver bit his lip, still in a pure frenzy. Y-you mean it...isn't priceless? He swallowed and picked the cloth off of the table. Even if it wasn't priceless, he'd still get in trouble for spilling good tea and when he had only started. He closed his eye, imagining the possible scenario. Of cousrse the little urchin would do some thing so careless. It was a mistake to ever take him in. The boy shook his head, then looked around wildly for a replacement. Do you know where the others are, Miss? he asked, dashing to the cupboards and looking through.

Mayu watched him as he was trying to find new table cloth. "Its in the bottom drawer of where the tea sets are, Oliver. Oh, and I don't know..Len must be somewhere. Off in his own world." she told him as she looked towards the stairs making sure her mother wasn't coming down. She then turned back to the table and she saw some tea puddles on the table and she got a napkin and wiped it down. Trying to be helpful, yes...trying. It wasn't to big of a deal. But she's keeping her fingers crossed that her mother won't come down.

Oliver breathed a large sigh of relief as he opened the drawer to the cloth. Hopefully, this wouldn't be the end of him. As he got up, he noticed that Mayu was cleaning up. Oh...that wasn't her job, though the help was truly appreciated. But it was his duty to assist her, not the other way aroind. Oh! Uhm...Miss, let me take care of that, the boy said, moving ovrr to Mayu and taking the napkin and cleaning up his spill. It was his fault they were in this mess, after all.

Mayu did a little crooked grin when Oliver took the napkin,"Always here to help." she reminded him and she did wonder where Len was. She hasn't seen him since yesterday morning. But enough about Len, she had almost nice thoughts about Oliver. She would be getting a lecture of she told any member of her family that shes likes....(or even more)...Oliver. She wants to forget the thought but it will still creep back in.

Oliver finally mopped up the tea, then spread the tablecloth over. It looked as if nothing had happened. Good thing, since he didn't want to leave just yet. Um...and what to do with the old one, Miss? But James had already taken care of it. The little finch had picked up the old one and flew it somewhere outside. Oliver breathed a sigh of relirf for the umpteenth time that day. What would he do without that bird?

Mayu clicked out of her deep thoughts and looked to Oliver, "Oliver...I..uh....I mean you deserve a little break. Thank you for the breakfast." she said while hesitating. She did a slight grin towards him and she felt her chest flutter with anxiety. So she ran out of the dining room and up the stairs.

Oliver bowed as he was trained, feeling his heart race as Mayu smiled at him. No, wait...don't fall for her. You're a servant, she's a lady...it could never be. Instead, he thoight of her statement. Could he really take a break? He slipped out into the garden and sat undsr a tree for a few minutes to enjoy the sunlight. As he did, he saw a carriage(car?) come up to the house. Ah, it must be the relatives...

A wood carriage with white horse and slick black reins pulled in front of the manor. I really need to stop using carriages... The carriage door flew open and appeared a young man who was in his early twenties who happened to be sleepy. He examnined the manor and he scoffed. He turned to see if the driver was getting his luggage, which he was. The man also kicked the carriage door closed, gently.

Mayu on the ofher hand was doing breathing excercises to cool down her anxiety. Once she heard a door slam, she immediatly rushed to the window. Dell. She went to the mirror and picked up her comb and brush her hair until it was nice and soft. She fixed her headband and she twirled twice and nodded in agreement with herself. She rushed down the stairs and slowly opened the door and walked out outside and the breeze went through her hair.
