I know that it's whatever the song makes them, but I know people still have a general feeling about them. I heard the cyrpton is introducing them as twins when they come to america, which, i think is going to cause a lot of confusion.

uh, none of the above? Or I suppose I'd be filed under "People who look alike"

I just view all the VOCALOIDs like actors who portray whatever's put in front of them and therefore don't necessarily have any kind of relationship/affiliation with each other aside from all being VOCALOIDs. But this is also coming from someone who really doesn't pay attention to or care about the characters themselves.

i think of them as just look alikes
i have no problem with others seeing them as a couple or as twins
for some reason i've seen fans debate and get upset over it..
they were made to be "mirror reflections" right? so we can see them however we want...and yeah depending on the song.

Exactly what I'm thinking, they're whoever the person wants them to be, so why would crypton make them twins in america? Pft... it guess it doesn't matter though, since it's going to be a while until vocaloid gets popular here.

If we're talking, like, voice synthesizer-wise about what I think they are, then, I would have just said that they're two Vocaloids that share a voice, I guess.
But, yeah. It's up to the people who wonder what they are. They can be siblings, clones, magic mirror twins, etc. :)

For me, the name Kagamine is just a stage name, and the two are unrelated. They can play twins, bestfriends and lovers and the whole fandom is satisfied.

I view them as an elder sibling and younger sibling with a one or two year age gap, as opposed to them being twins. But still siblings.

It's probably because of Servant of Evil. It was the first Len PV I saw when I first found out about Vocaloid (but the voice was Yamai's). From then on I assumed they were siblings and stuff... but I do enjoy viewing them as best-friends or, like, clones of each other (depending on the setting).
