Everyone flips out that Bruno and Clara don't have anime styled box art, but personally I would love to see something different as well. I think this is due to the fact that many of the vocaloid/UTAU fans are also anime fans, thus their UTAUloids are all anime styled.

This is a more of a "Things you don't like about UTAU the program" comment, but...

...when you can't get Gyatmoon not to sound like a brass instrument when you're working with him in C2/C1 range! Hahaha I guess I never looked to see what his vocal range actually was, though >___O

I can only find four Bass UTAUs in the wiki. 1 of them is kana-encoded, 1 of them is hosted on 4 shared (and 4shared wants me to make an account for some reason? Pffft noooo), 1 is still under development, and the other 1 is still in a "beta" stage.

FOREVER TEARS do real people even sing this low?

Either I went over the limit for listening/downloading/whatever for today, or they changed their policy. They've insisted that it's free to sign up : P

There wasn't anything to identify or make me suspect that it was a phishing site beyond my own paranoia : P

I'm thinking it must be some kind of download limit. Maybe they keep track over the day, or over it's entire record of one's visits.

Minor topic is minor, but I'm irked when people are irked with UTAUs of famous people.
If they're not gonna release them, & are aware that the voicebank is technically illegal, then I don't see what the problem is? Illegal stuff is illegal, yeah, but how much of the music on your computer is legal? Are you jealous or something that you can't have the bank?

I guess this kinda goes with my spiel on piracy: I see no problem with it, just don't be making a profit off of it.

UTAU has to be very careful about what is posted, because if someone decides to launch a lawsuit, it's the program and the creator of the program (Ameya) who is going to suffer. So, there are a whole whackload of precautions put into place to ensure that that does not happen.

However, if it's just a personal thing that one doesn't release or share, then who cares : P

It's... a bit more complex than that, since UTAU has such a strong grassroots foundation. Making an illegal UTAU is nothing like downloading an illegal song off mediafire, as it makes Ameya, the creator of the software, liable in a way. That's why it's not allowed and why people are so nervous when UTAUs like that are made, we don't want our hobby taken away from us because of a few idiots if Ameya thinks we've been doing something risky with his software.

So long as the voicebank isn't distributed, typically no one cares. There's already BASARAloid and Sugitaloid in Japan, who are both made from famous voices. But throughout UTAU's history, a lot of overseas users have had the "screw you" attitude and just put banks up for download in order to get popular.

Okay so this is an "artist in the UTAU fandom" complaint but still...

Also is it just me or is there a group of UTAU users who just CONSTANTLY post in freebie threads? I was browsing around earlier because I wanted to get a few myself, but there's just some users who are constantly all over them...

I just don't like that everyone has one. I understand it's cool, and I'm going to be making one soon too, but there are SO many that sifting through them to find ones that are actually pretty good or even just original is tough.
